Hear this a lot about my BSB Angler. I always answer the same way. I say it is a kayak because Alabama says it's a kayak and I don't have to pay tags and registration.

Looks nice. Only thing I notice is no edges at all. Seems like would be really easy to bump things right off the edge

Fair point. However, there are multiple storage hatches that give you access to the inside of the hull where you can have storage bins as well. There are also multiple accessory tracks on the Blue Sky so that you can lock accessories down. In any kayak, tethers are always a good idea for any gear that you don't want attached directly to the kayak.

Love the concept of this design. But it's a rare day I have flat water . Bring her up and out of the water a little and I might go there.

Nice Boat...I have a Tri-Cat 360 Blue Sky Boat Works ...There top fishing platform...I would call them a Cataram, both the Pro or Angler 360 and the flag ship Tri-Cat 360

@@ecofishingshop I'm from the upper midwest, and spend quite of bit of time in the Glacier Lakes. And a couple of Walleye Trophy Lakes near by as well... If it's a nice still day 100 miles from us is the Missouri River ... Tons of changes and additions have been made to this Tri-Cat, some day we could share a few photos. I use to have a 360 like yours, fishermen once on the 360 just love it...Mine of course is a totally different Cataram than yours for sure and with the mod's gives this sick boat over 160 sq. feet for moving and casting. Powered by Twin Electric Newport NT300 outboards. We have a few only electric motor lakes as well. Before i forget ...YES i want more 360 fishing videos, you need to feed my addiction , lol ...Are you the owner - manager -salesman ? 🐟🐟🐠

It's a crazy rig. What do you think, is it a kayak?

I like mine a lot. I definitely prefer my Skeeter FXR21, but that’s not useable everywhere. This thing takes me anywhere, but as a big guy (6’5, 250) I love it. I also have a Hobie Pro Angler 14’, and I also love that, it’s my tournament kayak. But it feels completely different than the 360. My wife also enjoys the 360 when I get her out. She hates the bass boat (doesn’t fish, and doesn’t want to watch me fish), but enjoys cruising around. It’s sturdy, stable, and reliable so far. It’s rigged up for fishing, Trolling motor w/ gps/spot lock, dual poleas, Yak Attack crate, even put on a livescope when I upgraded my boat’s electronics to be full Lowrance w/ a hummingbird for Mega360. Thing is a beast

This is an awesome recap, thanks @stonehorn4641. It sounds like you are the perfect bridge between the boat vs. kayak argument. The best answer is usually the most simple one - each boat/kayak/skiff has its pros and cons and each can get you to a different type of water. How do you find the stability of the PA14 and 360 as a bigger angler?

Can you rig the 360 angler the same way with the trolling motor. I like the idea of the pedal drive but also like the idea of a motor.

@ecofishingshop yup! But just found two at dealer a hour away from house. They are offering heck of deal $ , if I buy both. Think they want them gone so don't have to inventory them ! Brand new, wanted camo but for this crazy deal I'll be ok l.

No harm, glad you were able to grab some locally. That was fortunate! Keep us in mind if you have any rigging questions or accessory needs as we carry a ton of stuff that is compatible with the Blue Sky. If you don't mind us asking, how are you planning on transporting two of them!?

How did you secure your batteries? It looks like you have some sort of block pressing against them

The 360 Pro comes with battery box that straps down under the seat.

Might be a dumb question - is it practical to paddle like a "regular" kayak or is battery management critical?

Never a dumb question - this is a unique boat/kayak/skiff. While it would be possible to paddle (more like a stand up paddle board than a kayak), it would require a lot of effort. They do have a version that comes with a pedal drive (Angler Pro version) that would be far more enjoyable than paddling if you didn't want to invest in the motor/battery.

You'd be surprised at how stable some of these smaller watercraft can be. Some kayaks are far more capable of handling big waves. You need to look at hull shape (longer kayaks with a traditional V-shape hull are going to cut waves far better than a pontoon-style or flat bottom kayak). They can handles waves bigger than some may think, but you need to always be on alert and pay attention to your positioning. This particular rig would require you to have good positioning for a bigger wave. You would not want to be caught off guard (in any kayak).

We loaded this version down with a lot of accessories to show what they are capable of becoming over time. You can strip this one down quite a bit to make it more reasonable. But, you do get what you pay for in this case. This is a really unique kayak/skiff/boat that really stands apart and in its own category. It is a really fun vessel to cruise around in and fish from.

@@ecofishingshop I think it is where this is going with electric motors. Bigger more comfortable platforms that will make a lot of big boat owner reconsider what they are doing. The point has to come down imo. for bigger adoption even though it may be good value for the money. How long before someone comes up with a rig to join 2 smaller kayaks into this? to me a kayak is something easy handled by one person.. so no this is not a kayak and would be a mistake to brand it that way. put a sunbathing deck on it .. lol and watch sales go thru the roof
