I know what you mean it’s nice to have all your stuff and the potty 👍🏝️ I forgot to mention heading out of the Keys We spent the day again in Bahia Honda State Park and checked to see if there were cancellations and we got a site for the night and the view of the water from all the sites near us were picture perfect 🏝️. Morning guys I really like the tape guides. I know you won't take the truck off again for awhile but I think adding a couple more strips of tape would give you an even better reference for lining up. 👍 Miss seeing Pistol 🐶

Our mats were made from recycled tires. So heavy it was two pieces but that’s what the camper manufacturers recommended. Fiberglass camper. My experience was, even if I got the camper exactly centered on the truck, while driving, it would sift around anyway.🤔 Wish I’d had a backup camera for loading that would’ve been very helpful.

That mat looked nice. I was recommended cow stall floor. one inch thick. Not good. Too heavy and almost impossible to adjust. Ended up splitting it into three parts about 7 inches wide. But before that I sprayed the entire bed and walls (and over the edge) with Raptor Bedliner. I don't regret that. When loading, I only use the mirrors and marks on the camper. can be adjusted by tilting the support legs.

Had a bed rug before for my camper and loved it. Never any problems. When i got mine, velcro wasnt had, so i put a screw in each corner to ho it down when the camper was off and it worked great. Bsafe u2

The strip of white tape was a good idea. When I would hitch up the goose neck stock trailer, I would set several small rocks in line to guide me to the ball hidden down in the bed of the flatbed. Always worked like a charm. I'm baffled how one of my brothers could slip in and out from under his camper with such ease. He and his family would come over for a visit and first thing he would pull out from under the camper. I asked if he wanted help placing the camper back on and he laughed and said thanks, but no thanks. He pulled up, raised the camper up, backed up, got out to take a look, pulled forward and repositioned, then backed up and quite easily, got it in one take. I do not believe I could be quite so cavalier. Looking forward to your new adventures. Be safe on the road and remember... Carey On!

@@CareyOnVagabond my brother has a natural knack for such things. I’m betting that you guys will get much more comfortable loading and unloading in time.

Great idea to velcor mat! We measure those corners, and make Micro steering adjustments while backing. You can also tilt driver or passenger camper legs to adjust those measurements. Practice makes perfect. Over several events you'd be pro's!

Some say yes and some say no. 🤷‍♂️

I don't like using bed mats as they tend to hold moisture and causes the bed to rust.

Agree. If you need the mat I would do a spray on bed liner first.
