I absolutely loved Akane’s response to Kana’s feelings towards Aqua, and this just continues to show how insanely cunning Akane truly is. Glad to see these girls getting along but this also just makes me a bit more worried that something is going to happen to Akane out of all the characters especially with how calculative she’s being. Here’s to still hoping that nothing horrible happens to Akane or anybody in general.

at this point I think I ship Kana x Akane more than anythings else LOL. These last few chapters been pretty weird from a writing standpoint, Akane pretty much summing up what I feel about Kana's character in those panels they shared. I do know that this is a story about some very broken kids surviving in the entertainment industry, so I can understand those lapses of judgement that are are synonymous with their behaviors (Akane's "plan" for instance), they all need serious help as its only more pain that awaits them. I just hope all of this leads to actual development for everyone: Aqua coming to grips with his revenge, Akane's own happiness, Kana overcoming her self-esteem issues and so on. Dope video as always bro!

The chair ain't big enough for both Kana and Akane, yet they're both racing to sit on it

This makes me wonder about Akane's mental health. She completely changed after the internet arc, it's concerning because she was a very shy, timid girl at 17 and now...now, she is calculative, calm and serious. Her expressions have become cold and she is mostly left in the dark. This chapter just shows how smart she is. But then, where is Aqua? What is he planning? When we saw his plans, we didn't know what Akane was upto. Now, we don't know what our mc is upto. Aka just keeps ruining his own story. How did everyone miss the fact that when Akane said "Aqua, You won't go for revenge if you have a precious girlfriend?" She meant if he went out with Kana. But what she doesn't know is that SHE was the precious one, and Aqua was willing to give up on the revenge until she decided to help him with it. He has already loved. And it wasn't false. Someone tell Akane that she is ignorant to her own charms, because she literally doesn't regard herself to be someone special. It pissed me off that all Kana said Aqua would go for her because she is "pretty". Kana overheard the entire conversation, she must have sensed that Akane is protecting Aqua. She is understanding. Thats why Aqua loves her. Kana may be a good person or may want Aqua, but her love for him is too immature. She keeps misunderstanding, lacks faith in him and only wants to satisfy her heart. Akane isn't like that. Akane, in contrast to Kana, is the most interesting character in this manga for me. When Ai is on the screen, all I can see is Ai, and it's the same with Akane. Both Ai and Akane are so talented, but they've been victims to people's selfishness. Ai was ruthlessly killed and hated in the manba, whereas Kana fans and Akane haters bully Akane in real life online. The fact that I was actually rooting for her when Kana graciously accepted it, only to be turned off the next chapter with her lame comments on why Aqua likes Akane. Does Kana really not see what kind of life Aqua is living? Does he really have time or health for such things? He didn't care about Akane's Beauty, days with her were the happiest in his life and ironically, unknowst to Akane, Aqua broke up with her because she was the one for him and he didn't want her to get hurt. Kana fans, you guys, just like Kana, can be happy if she is the endgame, but know that it's just done so that there isn't hate and was done for the fans because, Kana isn't worth it.

They demand it, and Aka delivers it. the number of people who want aqua and kana endgame are alot. because if we're being honest, Kana isn't worth it. She lacks development, alot. She isn't worth it really, her tsundere and cutesy attitude won't help Aqua in anyway.

As someone who really likes Akane, I think your opinion is really biased. If you think Aqua ever had genuine romantic feelings for Akane, you probably didn’t pay much attention. He started dating Akane to use her, and stayed with her because he wanted to make it up to her. In pretty much every panel of him during their relationship, you can see his lack of actual interest. Even Akane noticed it, but she was still content with being close to him. He did develop feelings for her, but those weren’t romantic. I’m not gonna try to convince you to change your mind though, because I don’t think I can. However, stating that Aka is pushing Aquakana for the fans is just straight up misinformation. The ending of Oshi No Ko has been decided from the start, the author stated so himself in an interview which was published in a japanese magazine last year. There have been many, many hints throughout the series about Aqua liking Kana, it was definitely not a last minute choice. Pretty much every character has assumed there’s something special between them at least once in the series. Ruby says Aqua acts like his old self with Kana, Akane is convinced that he’s attracted to Kana, Mem-Cho believes he’s obsessed with Kana, the Director ( aka Aqua’s father figure) was surprised to find out Aqua started dating Akane, thinking about Kana. Miyako notices something special between them. Taiki too. Even Aqua himself says some questionable things about her. Then there’s the chapter 150 situation. ( I know the chapter wasn’t out when you wrote this comment, just trying to make a point.) Kana is able to turn Aqua's black star white again. He does everything to not involve her in his plans (which cost him losing his closest friend when he was at his lowest, all just to protect her) has fun around her, (which he sees as a problem because it might get in his way), finds her attractive and admires her sincere personality. That’s more than enough for them to have a chance. It doesn’t matter if we personally don’t see the appeal of Kana Arima. Aqua is not a self insert, he’s his own character with a different mindset, different experiences, and way of thinking than us readers. I agree that the last few chapters feel out of place, but it seems pretty obvious that this is just the calm before the storm and Aqua is not going to start dating Kana right now. He may not end up with her at all. But as of chapter 150, it’s been confirmed that Kana is the closest thing to a love interest for him. I know that’s disappointing for you, and I get it. I think Akane is great. But Aqua liking Kana makes sense and blaming the author is kinda cope

I don't like Akane only to hate Kana, I have read books and mangas and based on my experience as a reader and a writer, Kana is someone who hasn't received enough character development. Addressing Aqua and Akane's relationship from the dating arc, allow me to say that it is Akane who claimed that Aqua was attracted to Kana. Not Aqua himself. Ironically, the dating arc is when we got to see maximum of POVs from Aqua's side. He was depressed and wanted an answer. Who did he call? Akane. Days with her were the happiest for him and *he did not wish to let go of those days when she was by his side*. Aqua said it so himself. Why did he break up with her? Because instead of carrying the burden *with* him, Akane went on trying to do it herself. He didn't wish to put her in trouble or drag her to hell with him. All this simply shows their dynamic. Akane still has feelings for Aqua, but she won't accept it. All those small instances and moments between them even after their breakup, do they mean nothing to the readers? If you really like Akane, then well let's step aside from the shipping and come to the basis- Akane's potential as a character in this manga could be used in a much better way other than using her simply for Aqua to get his revenge, and now for Kana to get her wish. We're talking about a girl who was cyberbullied and trolled online, and then went on to become a top class actress, who could imitate Ai Hoshino, almost perfectly. Aqua genuinely loved Akane. There is no denying this. He didn't love her for her "Ai personna" or for her beauty. He even said this himself. Reading the current chapter and the previous ones, I can say one thing: it was pushed. Whether Aka made this decision earlier or a few weeks before, Kana shippers were high even back then for him to decide on Kana as endgame. Because honestly, Akane is the closest to therapy Aqua can have. Kana is not it. Kana overheard Aqua and Akane's conversation, but all she could point out was? That Aqua would choose her for her beauty. She could've tried to think about Aqua's mental health. What "revenge" is Aqua going for? All these things, she could've thought. Maybe it's the writer's wish to keep her as a typical tsundere, innocent character, or maybe this is how she is. How can you then expect me to say it's good writing when she ends up with Aqua? There are instances where Kana has been shown as a bold, and straightforward character but why is it that the same wisdom isn't shown in the story's main theme? Why is she so laid back when it comes to this? I can agree that Aqua and Kana have a bond, but for me, it was exactly like the bond between Ruby and him. A sibling like, friendship. Being his "old self", does Ruby even know her brother's true self? Did Aqua himself ever say this? Nope. On the contrary, with Akane, he admitted that he was happy with her. There was even one morning, when his eyes returned to normal. That was when he thought his revenge was over because he assumed that the culprit had died. What did he do immediately then? He went out with Akane. Why? He couldn't easily broken up with her and pursued Kana, but he didn't. Akane says "he's smitten", but Aqua never himself said this. It was revenge which came in Aqua and Akane's way, that's what led to their relationship's end. It was basically right person wrong time. But Akane decided to stay close to him, so I felt it will work out. The right person didn't leave. But then, Aka decides to give the other girl a shot. Kana has been basically living in a shoujo manga in her head and Aqua is her chosen Male Lead. It’s like that time she thought Aqua was “straight and sincere”, or when she thought Akane was a “goody-two-shoes". She superficially described him, even calling him her rival. Do you really think this is good writing? Compare that to Aqua and Akane's relationship way back, when we didn't even know who Kamiki was. "I have been saved ever since I met you". Also, keep in mind that we didn't even a snapshot of Aqua thinking about Akane in this chapter. It's like she's gone, forgotten even when she was a huge contribution to his "happy days". Doesn't this seem suspicious? Or maybe the writer did it on purpose, to hell with her? If this isn't bad writing or feeding the readers, then I don't know what is.

I disagree, but I understand where you’re coming from. The way Aka has been writing her as of late is an insult to her character. Kana used to be a layered character. She changed from a spoiled, selfish brat, influenced by her mother, who forced her own wishes onto Kana, to an insecure people pleaser who hides her true talents for the sake of fitting in. She suffered from abandonment issues and struggled in the industry. She had multiple arcs that developed her little by little, and was starting to get independent, as well as stepping up in the industry. For some reason though, similar to Ruby, Aka turned Kana into some flat rom-com comedy device. Saying she didn’t get enough developed is completely wrong though. "It is Akane who claimed that Aqua was attracted to Kana." It is. I never said otherwise. But we’re talking about an insanely intelligent girl who was able to deduct Ai's feelings and behavior without having ever met her. Why would Akane have misinterpreted Aqua's feelings for Kana? And also, you have to consider the author's intentions. What was the purpose of that statement? Some people say Akane was being insecure, but I don’t think that statement makes sense. If that was Aka's intention, he would have made Akane compare herself to Kana, and Akane would have worded things differently instead of being 100% sure that Aqua is attracted to Kana. Plus, this was a time in which Aqua had nothing to do with Kana. She says this after they decided to date for real. About the dating arc. I think you’re misremembering some stuff. First of all, right after he decides to give up on revenge, Aqua goes on a date with Kana, and continues to use Akane by making her find Gorou's corpse. It is then that Akane tells him he shouldn’t interact with Kana because she's acting as an idol, and it could get her in danger. He starts thinking about Ai, and then decides that Akane is right. He fears Kana's safety and decides to stay away. We later find out how much this actually impacts him when Mem-cho confronts him about this. Anyways, I'm not trying to say he didn’t care for Akane, he definitely did. He tells Akane he has been using her to find Gorou's corpse and apologizes. He wants to break up with her, but when he sees her crying, talking about how much she wanted to help him carry his burdens, he thinks back about all the times she’s been kind to him. Aqua feels even more guilty, and doesn’t want to hurt her after all she’s done for him. He decides to stay with her and protect her. The thing is, he doesn’t look like he’s just made a big realization in the slightest. I know he rarely shows emotions, but the way the mangaka Mengo draws Aqua’s expressions in these panels is…weird. It’s like he’s doing something for the sake of it, not because he deeply, genuinely wants to. Aqua is kind at heart, he wants to pay Akane back, because he sees her as this empathetic, kind-hearted girl who he took advantage of. So he tries to make it up by taking up the role of the "perfect boyfriend" for the majority of their relationship. Which Akane is aware of. She is okay with it though. She’s okay just being with him, and wants to pay him back as well, for having saved her life. Meanwhile, he never had to act any role with Kana, he has always been himself. Which even Ruby, his sister that has known him before he was heavily traumatized, notices. "He was depressed and wanted an answer. Who did he call? Akane." Let me remind you that just after Aqua found out about Ai's murderer being alive, it was Kana who saw him having a breakdown in the rain and offered him an umbrella. He was in a horrible mental state though, and accidentally pushed her away. Too shocked to react fast enough, he couldn’t say anything before Kana ran away. In that time, of course he grew apart from Kana. Why would he call his friend that he has been ghosting for months instead of the girl he’s dating? Plus, Kana didn’t know anything about the situation, Akane did. And when he called Akane he was already suspecting that she had lied to him. Now, he did said many things he really likes about her during that call, it’s undeniable. Even if the panels purposely didn’t show his face, and we didn’t get that much insight into his thoughts during the conversation. I’m convinced he wasn’t lying about most of the things he said. He definitely cares about her and appreciates her. He said that she saved him. But, she saved him because she kept him from seeing the loophole. She distracted him from his revenge plan, and kept him company. She was definitely one of the reasons his days were the happiest, but not the only one. It was mostly Aqua being able to live like a normal teenager, without feeling guilty. I think many people misunderstand that. To make clear, I think they would make a good couple as well. But we have to consider that the things Aqua says aren’t exclusively tied to romance. And in most of their moments, he never saw her in a romantic light at all. In fact, it’s been shown multiple times that he sometimes sees his mother in Akane. Akane can imitate Ai perfectly. She has many motherly traits. She knows Ai is him mother, and that he misses her, and is traumatized by her death. She understands Ai deeply, which is why she wants to take care of him like she would with a son. She says this herself in chapter 149, although I don’t think this means she doesn’t like him romantically. She just wants to make him happy, as she said. Also, Kana didn’t hear Akane‘s and Aqua's conversation in chapter 148…Akane talked about Aqua wanting to kill someone, you think she would have ignored that if she heard it? And she didn’t just say Akane is "pretty", she said Akane is smart, talented, beautiful and kind. As of chapter 150, Gorou specifically says that Aqua harbors romantic feelings, and then points at Kana. He says "You like that girl, right?" He then speaks about Kana, and Aqua answers with "I know that.", clearly distressed. This should make the situation pretty clear. I agree that it’s highly suspicious Akane wasn’t mentioned. And I personally feel like Aqua's expressions in the chapter seem very hesitant. It could be because of various plausible reasons, but a part of me feels like it might be Aqua not actually liking Kana as much as Gorou makes it seems. But then, it wouldn’t make much sense that Gorou doesn’t know about Aqua's true feeling, and that Aka let Akane think "The next person Aqua-kun goes out with has to be someone I approve of.", and that he wrote her to be content with not dating him. It makes it kinda unlikely to make Aquakane endgame, unless Aka wants to pull a love interest plottwist AGAIN, which he has been doing nonstop. I‘ve written way too much, so I‘m going to shut up now. If you actually put an effort to read all of this, I love you lol. Let’s just hope Akane finds the place and happiness she deserves in the story, and that, as you said, Aka will stop writing Kana like a dumb shoujo protagonist, because she is all in all a great character who was done dirty.

Akane is lying to herself, she still loves Aqua, the fact that she still hovers around him is proof of that even after what he did.

I don't understand what Akane plan how is she even going to get Aqua to date Kana anyway. Even if he does have feelings for her. He's made it clear that he doesn't want to get the people he cares about involved in his revenge plan. Also Aqua is right about Kana being easy to manipulate. She's too trusting and I wonder if that's going to lead to something bad happening with her. As far as we know Akane doesn't have any bad intentions she just wants to help Aqua. But imagine if she runs into someone like Hikaru.

I know that I might get some hate for this, but at first, I was kind of torn between which girl to ship Aqua with. Each girl gave very convincing reasons as to why they would be perfect to help Aqua heal. At first, I chose Akane because when Aqua saved her and even when they got together officially I felt like they made a good match. However, even if Aqua doesn’t admit it, he has very strong feelings for Kana so they could make a good match too. In the grand scheme of things, I believe Aqua needs to take some time to find happiness for himself outside of his revenge. So that he can commit himself to a full relationship with either girl of his choosing. But as of right now distracting with a girlfriend that he likes might prove to be useful when it comes to slowing down his revenge plan. So since Akane has accepted Kana as someone who can bring Aqua happiness then I will support her too.

@@jeffali5157 her character only doing this mission without much other layers is my annoyance, I prefer when secoundary characters have more deep. But the author pace ( now ?) and style has reduced much of the charcterization of the characters, I feel. I agree there is reason for her actions. And hope a for a intriging or twist battle of wits for this final arch, and she probally will be on aim. Have tied most of her loose ends looks much as a "death flag" in some writing styles. But I not much familiar with this autor so I dont know if he likes to do 100% quests end for their characters as he is doing with Kana and Akane.

@@SoraiaLMotta there is some depth to her character tbh, though I feel she also needs to be a lot more honest with herself as to why she’s going that far to save aqua cause I feel like the “mom” excuse is just that, an excuse. And the pace while it has been going faster, the characterization of the cast hasn’t really been reduced besides a few instances. But we are pretty much at the final stretch of the story however long that will take so I’m still interested at what Aka is cooking

After the last chapter I still can't believe she tried to take her own life man she is smart as hell

Here's the thing, Kana has absolutely no clue Aqua's dark side. I'm curious how she'd react and feel if/when she knows his revenge endeavour. Meanwhile Akane knows and understands Aqua's inside out, and willing to go to hell with him even though she's not his boyfriend anymore. And she knows all of this by figuring out herself, she didn't get it from Aqua. That's what make Akane a cut above the rest, her intelligence, and unwavering loyalty and determination for Aqua is unmatched. And one other thing. Akane is not completely honest with how she feels for Aqua. Remember the last chapter when Kana asked Aqua to smother sunscreen on her back? Akane interrupted them, which implied Akane would be jealous if Aqua rub sunscreen on Kana.

Interesting topic ❤ actually I think it the spirit of Ai Hoshino channeling through Akane to stop Aqua. She is using Akane to stop her son from seeking revenge. You can see that Akane has the eyes of Ai briefly. So when Akane says she see herself as a mother to Aqua's child it's actually Ai speaking through Akane. In reality Akane and Aqua's relationship is like a brother and sister. With the influence of Ai Hoshino she's his mother as well.

Okay, as per usual, I have a couple theories after this chapter, two genuine theories and one crack theory, AKA one that will 1000% not happen, but it would be kinda funny but also fucked up to see. Let me start with the first and most obvious theory; Akane's plan for Aqua and Kana to get together will accidentally lead to Kana's death, most likely at Hikaru's hands. This would contribute to a theory I commented on a couple videos ago, where Kana will die and Akane will feel massive guilt for it. She probably is so hyperfixated at stopping Aqua, to the point where she might accidentally have someone get hurt or even killed. If this does happen, I could see Akane potentially going into a deep depression and feeling nothing but guilt and regret for what happened. She could contemplate that if she hadn't forced Kana and Aqua to get together, Kana would more than likely still be alive. Hell, she might even go as far as saying that this wouldn't have happened if she hadn't met Aqua at all. The next theory I would like to discuss is one you mentioned in this video about Akane's black staringan being similar to the one Ai had when she was dying. Could this be potential foreshadowing for Akane's death? I mean, she HAS been tracking Hikaru for a while and she probably would put her own life on the line if it means stopping Aqua's plan (I can't remember if she said that in an earlier chapter, so please do let me know if she did) Now, on to my crack theory. The one that ABSOLUTELY NOBODY is going to agree with. The one that EVERYONE is likely going to give me slack over. They're going to say, "Oh, but this isn't consistent with the story and it's out of character, why would you think this?" Well, let me restate that this theory is 1000% not going to happen, and this is one that I came up with on the spot. If you don't agree with me on this one, that is fine! I will not be mad! In fact, I appreciate constructive criticism from time to time, as that will help me come up with better theories in the future. With that out of the way, here is the crack theory that nobody asked for; Akane kills Hikaru herself. Now before you get the torches and pitchforks ready, let me explain. For one, this could tie into my first theory of Kana dying. Maybe Akane's guilt and regret could transform into anger. Maybe she would be conflicted on what to do at first, but eventually she becomes set on hunting down Hikaru and killing him. But let me backtrack for a second; there's no way Akane will go from grieving over Kana's death to wanting to kill Hikaru in such a short time? What else could bring her to this point? The only thing I could possibly think of is that Hikaru realizes that Kana's death isn't enough to break Akane, so he decides to kill one of her family members, maybe her mother, as she's the only member of Akane's family that we know about. Maybe Akane's mother's death and Kana's death happening back to back is enough to make Akane snap and decide to kill Hikaru. Hell, maybe Kana's death will be enough to snap Aqua out of his mindset of revenge and recognize what he's doing is wrong and isn't healthy. And when he finds out that Akane is going after Hikaru to kill him? Oh boy, we are looking at a silver platter of juicy character drama! Maybe he could tell Akane that she tried to stop him, so now it's his turn to stop her. Eventually, if Akane dies trying to enact her revenge, Aqua will probably feel massive regret for getting Akane involved, as he now lost two people he cared about. He will probably feel conflicted for a while, but maybe after he talks to the Crow Girl, he decides that enough is enough and calls the police to have Hikaru arrested. Now, this sounds like a good theory...on paper. HOWEVER, I do recognize that there are several inconsistencies. Inconsistency #1: Why would Hikaru target someone from Akane's family? As far as we know, Hikaru only kills people in the entertainment business, and outside of Akane, nobody in her family is part of the entertainment business. So... why would he suddenly switch and say, "You know what? Imma just kill this random lady I saw walking home from the grocery store! She's not a celebrity, so no one will miss her, right?" So, that's a part of this theory that does not make sense and goes against Hikaru's character. Inconsistency #2: Would Aqua REALLY snap out of his revenge plan if Kana and/or Akane died? If anything, that's only going to add more fuel to the fire and make Aqua want to kill Hikaru even more. So, another point against this theory as I feel it goes against Aqua's character. Inconsistency #3: Just this theory has a whole, as this goes against Akane's entire character. Akane is not a violent character, so her solving her problems by killing people just sounds EXTREMLELY out of character for her. If anything, the farthest she would want Hikaru to be punished is being arrested, not by MURDERING him. So, to sum this crack theory up, while it would be interesting and fucked up to see happen, I HEAVILY doubt it will, as this goes against Akane's, Aqua's, and Hikaru's characters and also doesn't make much sense when it comes to the story. But what do you think? Will Kana and/or Akane die? Will Akane decide to take matters into her own hands once more and decide to kill Hikaru herself? Let me know! Sorry if this seems EXTREMELY long and I apologize if this sounds like fanfiction lol! I've just been SO INVESTED in Oshi no Ko recently, and I really do enjoy coming up with theories for it! If one of my theories came true, well, I would be extremely shocked because, at the end of the day, these theories are just that; theories. As always, give me your honest opinions and I hope you have a great rest of your day and I cannot wait for Chapter 150 to come out!

Akane Basically made Kana be the target for Hikaru it felt like Kana is making Akane a Target but instead she became the Target It go either way Hikaru first needs to get rid of Akane before he can get Ruby and Kana I hate to say it but somebody's gonna die I love three of them Hopefully Akane's Plan Fails because I don't want Kana and Herself getting killed by him.

This chapter was better than i expected but way akane behaved in this chapter she still loves aqua And want to stop aqua's revenge plan by using kana . Akane will push kana to confess to aqua but aqua response will matter in this regard it could go both ways . Whether akane's plan succeed or not i am looking forward to what happenes after that . I think ch 150 would be aqua 's chapter .

Guys my opinion here. I feel like the author is dragging the manga too much. I just want more hikaru lore and aqua's plan to be explored more. I think Akane is a bit too obsessed with stopping Aqua's revenge like how Aqua is obsessed with doing his revenge and Akane is even pushing Kana to get with Aqua just to make his revenge harder to do which I find annoying since I know Akane has good intentions but I think she should mind her own business and realize that Aqua wont listen to her even though Akane is right about how Aqua should stop his revenge because how stupid and ignorant it actually is since if he killed Hikaru then he would be just as bad as Hikaru and since it would be his first time killing anyone he would be caught instantly by the authorities and go to jail, He'll also make his love ones upset

That's what Maki in Aka's last series in Love is War never had was a person to actively push her to confess to her crush. In THIS series there is NOW with Akane is NOW actively trying to push Kana to get with Aqua. Both girls really are the same, and where both girls are to afraid to confess to their crush. We all know that Akane's plan is making sure Aqua doesn't go on his revenge against Hikaru. It's now how Kana goes about this now that there's now another opponent for Ruby.

Well even though this chapter was good for kana but I have major suspicions 😅 maybe we will get to know through this that aqua dont really have feelings for kana, like maybe a rejection or using her, or making her his girlfriend to show that he does not have feelings, or aqua doing something unexpected to show that what we have been thinking was wrong the whole time that is thinking and believing akana knows aqua's nature and mindset, maybe who knows or just something else, I dont wanna get any hopes high, we cant really be sure knowing its aka, i just honestly wish whatever comes, Kana just remains safe and achieve her dreams like being a top actress and have a happy future with or without aqua, tbh I wish good character development and future for all they seem stuck in same places with same mindset , I hope they grow. Also the state aqua is in do you really think getting a girlfriend will do any good? Or is a good idea to even begin with?

I can't really explain why, but now I'm convinced this is going down the yuri route. I don't know, if Aka-sensei is planning to make AquaKana endgame, this feels like a strange way to set things up. I think he's playing the long term game and slowly building up Kana and Akane's relationship. Like in this chapter, they were complimenting each other's charms, and Kana even opened the door a little saying she'd choose Akane if she were a man, and we of course know Akane is a big Kana-fan. I've stated before I don't care a lot about who ends up with who as long as everyone survives the manga. But from a story point of view, I feel like it would make for a good ending if after the Hikaru-conflict is over, Aqua and Ruby don't jump into dating (each other) but instead slowly start to learn living for real now that the ghosts from their past are gone. (Yes, I'm still rooting for Aqua x therapy lol) And if Aka-sensei feels like spoiling me, a Kana x Akane ending would be much appreciated :)

Honestly things will never go better until Kana will discover about Aqua's plan, i mean she is still oblivious about the whole revenge part, and this is not a good sign

Spoilers from the manga Remember, the reason why Aqua and Akane broke up is because they kinda stabbed each other in the back by keeping dark secrets from each other Akane knows of the existence of Hikaru and not telling Aqua about it, and Aqua not only having a hidden tracking device on Akane while they're still a couple, but also putting the puzzle together on Hikaru behind Akane's knowledge.

Hmmmm, honestly this distraction may work both positively and negatively. Aqua could come further out of his head this way, but until Hikaru, Nino, and anyone else who follows this grand societal delusion/obsession is mostly contained or put under 6 feet he HAS too keep his gaurd up for Ruby and everyone else's sake for that RAT is cornered and he's NOT gonna stop till he gets a few more bites in!!!

Let's go girls!!!! Akane will help our girl, I knew it will be smth like in the Tokyo Blade arc. Brothers and sisters, let's make Kana the happiest girl in this manga! And I'm kinda happy for not bringing yuri here

..Damn.. Akane really is giving it everything to stop Aqua. I guess she feels somewhat entitled, which she knows is selfish since it's Aqua's personal situation. Though ig it kinda does make sense, she is human after all. Pretty reasonale and I like her character, even though some probs say that it's too much. Guess Akane has her priorities straight. Though, the similarities between Ai and Akane are really interesting. Now that we think about it, the main 3 girls in this show has similarities with Ai. Though, dunno too much about Ruby, since she is acting as Ai and the fact that Ai must have "hated everyone" is a possibility only for now. We can imagine how motherly Ai would act if she was alive, since Akane is acting like that. Though, I feel like Kana is the person Ai wanted to be. Truthful, dedicated and yk. She is like, What Ai would admire, or envy. Meanwhile Ruby, views her mother as an ideal person, she believes in her mom alot, she won't admit otherwise, how others view Ai. Heck, they could be how different people view Ai herself. I feel like some may have seen Ai as immature and enthusiastic, like Ruby. Remember kana absolutely have no one to love her or show affection to her , not even her own parents , she all need is love thats why she literally looking down on her . If she aware of what she is truly she doesn't even need help from akane to confess her love. She can shine on her own . I really hate akane for using kana in the name of helping her. She literally said "i am gonna use every possible thing in the world to stop my ex boyfriend" . 💀 Kana is getting deathflags like flowers and akane trying to make garden from the flowers.

He did like her enough to date her for real when he believed his dad died but still broke it off. Opposite for me. This is almost what I expected after the last chapter. I was between Akane giving Kana verbal lashing to get her head out of her ass or calmly talking her down from her misconception to while giving her a confidence booster of some kind. Either way I figured she'd support Kana I just didn't expect her to basically become her producer in the game. The reason for this simple really. Last chapter pretty much had her say she isn't the one who could make him happy and we've known that Akane's observation of Kana and Aqua's relationship is that Aqua loves Kana. Mind you both characters are a target of obsession for her so it's fair to say she's analyzed Kana as well and likely already knew Kana loved Aqua to. As a whole, the series has generally suggested Aqua and Kana's feelings are mutual but both tend take tactical nukes to the ship(Aqua intentionally so) for character reasons. Going by Kana's character, if Aqua doesn't make the first move then Kana was going to need some to force feed her some character growth or this angle of the plot would have continue to go nowhere until we're stuck in incest valley or therapy despite being the bus that keeps coming back. And who better to give her that needed serving of growth than the biggest symbol/source of her self esteem crumbling as well the person who knows her best/her biggest fan Akane? Never forget that Akane is the biggest Kana simp out there as even her rivalry withe her is just her wanting her idol back.

Akane is truly a girl's girl❤

What if aka goes with a dark and depressing ending Hikaru ends up killing Akane and Aqua and Ruby end up dying while fighting Hikaru they end up killing him, but Aqua and Ruby lose too much blood and end up dying. Imagine that ending. We’re all 4 die and Kana Will be the only one remaining, and the last chapter ends with kana visiting their graves 🪦and that’s how the series ends it would be depressing and sad, but I would salute 🫡 aka for actually going with it 😢😭

I WAS SOOOOO HAPPY WITH THIS CHAPTER RELEASE, like fr, Kana team will make it. (I still think that Kana deserves someone better than Aqua, all of them girls do, but well, you don't choose who you fall in love with right?) I never liked Akane, I can't really explain why but she was just not for me, so, with the way she is acting nowadays in the most recent chapters, despite I kinda respect her and believe she is super smart and all, I still don't like her, less for Aqua, who I believe genuinely likes Kana but is too focused on his revenge to actually live a normal teen's life. Also, I have a small theory, that basically through her acting as Ai, Akane was kinda possessed by Ai's soul. Even though Ai cannot reincarnate, it almost seems Akane is ACTUALLY A MOTHER, who seeks to help her son in any way and taking whatever measures just so he won't get into problems. I could tell, even by her long hair now, that she is definitely acting like Ai in a way (in the protective mother way) if she was still alive. Yeah, Ai acted very carefree in most things but she hid a genuine care and love for her children, and I'm sure if she was aware of Hikaru's plans much earlier and Aqua's revenge, she would do everything to stop her son from falling into the dark deep end she was in. I also think Akane must be hiding something. She is doing way much than she allows us to see and despite believing her when she said she's over Aqua (bc fr that moment was total girl boss, and I immensely respect her for standing for herself and knowing her worth much more than begging a guy that broke with her), there is surely something within. But ig we won't know till we go forward. And Akane is now canonically part of Team Kana, so, both girls uniting to win Aqua's heart and stop Ruby is so exciting! Thank you Zephyr for the update! Idk how it's ass lmao, the romance is literally an important part in the character themes and growth. But I guess people just are in this manga for the "revenge plot" missing the real point of it.

Kana literally became an idol because HER HISCHOOL crush wanted her to, and then she gets all mad at him for liking another girl, akane likes him and then she all the sudden breaks up with him, now she wants kana to get back with him, this is not developing characters at all, if anything, it’s just a repetitive cycle, also the revenge plot is the most interesting part in my opinion, that is why I’m still here reading it, sorry for the paragraph lol.

@@CandyGamerr hey man, first, Kana getting mad at Aqua is quite justifiable how the guy literally kept dropping hints unintentionally and then kissed Akane outta nowhere. In the later arcs she supported them dating despite feeling like ass. Second, Aqua is the one who left Akane, please pay attention. Kana wanted them back together because of her love for Aqua and her low self-esteem and having her hope broken the third time. Third, the romance is important; the differences in Akane and Kana's characters are what matters. Kana is the one who will bring Aqua back, something Akane never managed to do. The romance is literally integral to Aqua quitting his revenge plot. And fourth, if you read this manga without paying attention to the characters, you're doing it wrong. The characters are the real focus of the story, the revenge plot is just a spine to tie the story together.

We… WE WON KANA BROS?!?! (Not truly yet because we have to see them kiss first) EVEN THOUGH THE STATE OF THIS MANGA IS SO ASS AND HAS DOG SHIT WRITING! We won…. Did we expect it to happen like this? Hell no! Could this chapter have better writing? Obviously yes! But guess what Akane is officially a AquKana supporter and there’s nothing you can do about it… It was obvious this was gonna happen either way, it’s funny that Akane fans kept saying “no they gonna get back together” well okay keep being delusional I guess… AquRuby fans? Delusional in a whole different universe, I don’t know what they waffling about lol. Especially on X/Twitter Akane fans saying “Kana is making Akane feel bad for her and “Oh Akane is just using Kana to get with Aqua so he won’t focus on the revenge plan” to me that’s a good thing because Akane is basically helping them. Akane knows that Aqua is attracted to Kana and he always suddenly fun when he’s with Kana. But I don’t think that’s gonna work tho, Hikaru is still out there, lives rent free in Aqua’s head and Aqua really not in the state to date, plus he wouldn’t want Kana to know about his revenge plan at all. Akane still have some feelings to Aqua which is obvious, but she’s right, Akane can’t keep clinging to her ex the entire time, she needs to move on. People tend to forget the reason why Aqua dated Akane for real is to protect Kana because she is an idol and Aqua thinks if they got together Kana will get killed like Ai, soon Kana won’t be an idol anymore. Kana doesn’t need those information that Akane gave to Kana about what Aqua likes, Kana didn’t even try to attract Aqua to her, Aqua got attracted to Kana. But Kana does need to know about Aqua’s current situation But seriously tho, this manga needs to have good writing again, it’s so embarrassing, I want the main revenge plot back in again, I want Aqua to be more active, actually try to find Hikaru instead not doing much, And still doesn’t know that Hikaru is the sponsor of the movie, we don’t know if Aqua is gonna know at all…

I hope Kana realise that she again being use lol. We know all too well that Akane plan won't succeed. Based on interview on Aqua. He's mostly still on his track. Romance now won't work for him. But we will see what Aka is about to pulling off... BTW. U said Kana doesn't need Akane help. If you didnt know, character is the central part of this manga, and believe it or not the romance IS important. You're missing the point.

The scenario in my mind: Akane distracts Aqua with Kana and goes to kill Hikaru. But Aqua realises Akane's plan and goes after it. He kills Hikaru, who tries to kill Akane. But no one knows who killed it. They go far from the city with Akane. Far from everything... Do I want a lot from Aka? :) But I know Aka chooses Kana so.. :(

You dont know how easy it is for a girl with low self-esteem AND a troubling life to just fucking cry. And in her eyes, Aqua was giving her attention again until she saw him and Akane together, triggering her confidence issues and underlying depression. How tragic Kana's life is when she lives on Uber Eats and has a gaming computer. How sad it is when she has so much skill issue she has to rely on others to help her out in every situation and can't bang her crush despite shooting herself in the foot every single time
