@@hamdansabumon1971 We don't even know what's going to happen yet so the whole "incest" notion speaks more of the mindset and perspective a lot of people seem to be having with all these assumptions. Maybe it does go that route, then again maybe not. Personally, I'll reserve judgement only after I see where the author takes their dynamic from here on out... and not take away from the core emotional aspects that are being highlighted in the few recent chapters.

I find it's interesting how Gorou and Sarina were coincidentally reincarnated as siblings. It's all thanks to Ai. She traded her life in order to bring back the 2 person who've once took care of her when she was pregnant and the other for truly is a big fan of her (hearing it from Gorou in Episode 1/Chapter 1). That was why crow girl said Ai can't be reincarnated.

Ai was consumed by a desire to love and be loved and thought being a mother could fix that. Ruby dies with regrets about her mother, a wish to be born to an idol, and deep regrets about not being able to live out her own dreams as an idol. Gorou had deep regrets about being unable to help Sarina, and as he was dying all he was thinking about was that idea of being reborn as an idol's child, and about getting back to Ai. So all their desires aligned perfectly. A mother desperately wanting love, and two people with regrets about their life looking to be reborn in conditions Ai perfectly fulfilled. I think the reason Ai can't reincarnate though is because she didn't die with her desire unfulfilled. In her last moments she realized that with Aqua and Ruby there were finally people that genuinely loved her, and who she genuinely loved.

A friend and I were discussing how OnK's central themes of finding genuine love and happiness with a family you can call your own was already there from the start in the form of Gorou's fatherly/older sibling relationship with Sarina. And when he lost Sarina to sickness, he couldn't forgive himself but then Ai came around and Ai reminded him of Sarina. Only to LOSE Ai to a killer, and not a disease. No wonder he's so traumatized and messed up. He basically failed TWICE. But with this? This changes things since at least Gorou knew that he has not failed yet, knowing that Sarina's practically by his side all along. I'm more excited how this will change their dynamics and how Aqua interacts with the other people now that he has a reason to live in this life since he can't leave Ruby alone anymore. Same goes for Ruby too, especially knowing that she thought her Sensei was gone but he had always been by her side right from the start. Is she gonna understand why Aqua behaved the way he did? Will she help him in his revenge and do it the right way? What about Akane? Now that the cat's out of the bag, how is this gonna change her plan to stop Aqua's self-destructive pursuit of revenge? Is Aqua gonna talk to her next? What now, guys?! Too many questions!

I really hope they don’t skip over their first few interactions after finally realizing who they are. I really wanna see how the dynamics shift instead of just time skipping and it’s already normal. I think Ruby would want to help with revenge, but Aqua will prolly want her to take a back seat for now. He has this second chance with Sarina and really wants her to live this life to the fullest after all. And Aqua should know doing something like getting locked up after killing his father or something won’t be good for Ruby. There’s so many things that can happen and I can’t wait!

@@ZephyrRetro the only thing that bugs me is that Aqua has known since his first year as Aqua that Ruby was Sarina, even if he foolishly didn't realise it. In chapter 3 he calls out Sarinas name while she is sleeping, at which ruby wake up and questions if aqua called her, on its own its just a coincidence, but when learning of her aspirations, knowing she's a big fan of AI leaning that in her past she could do things she wanted to do because she wasn't well, and then how she reacted to finding his body, the pieces REALLY should have pieced together much sooner. Maybe because he's in his 40-50s mentally now?

@@s.o6054 He could have saved Ai, that's the most traumatic part of it. He knew exactly where she was hurt, but didn't have the mature body, tools, or strength too.

Sarinas crush was because Gorou was literally the only figure in that life that kept treating her with more than just respect but also kindness, she was young and stuck in that hospital so yeah it figures why he would be her childhood crush. Reason why even after becoming ruby she has the crush? Because like we have seen in the last chapters she hasn't actually matured and processed a lot of factors about her past life. I'm sure this will just be them forming their sibling relationship for new reasons, their past and their love for their mom and probably scenes of second embarrassement from her because God damn imagine getting your first crush reincarnating as your brother I would be so embarrassed I'd threw up.

I just read this chapter and while it was only like 6 pages I had my breath taken away, it’s exactly what we’ve all wanted: for the two to drop their sibling act and be who they really were. That hug at the end, it’s not between siblings who fail to really understand each other, it’s between two people who were the shining parts of each other’s lives. It was beautiful, the choked up way Aqua (no, he’s Gorou again now) begs for the girl he’s been caring for all along to follow her dreams while she has the chance. The last two panels, a sudden transition between their past and present where their bond is mended, the hug between Sarina and Gorou and Ruby and Aqua now one and the same. And the most beautiful detail is the stars of hate leaving Ruby’s eyes as she cries tears of joy at the reunion. This was incredible

He eliminates an evil sociopath and protects both everyone he loves (Akane, Ruby, Kana etc.) and finally achieves justice for all those Kaniki has wronged. Sure he pays the ultimate price but nothing worth protecting has ever been protected without sacrifice. Aqua should go the Punisher route for the good of all.😑👍

If we go back to the first 10 chapters, we will find a few moments of the future(after the movie arc) with aqua, ruby, miyako, saitou, kana and more. but we dont see akane and mem-cho. I absolutely love Gorou (he’s my fav character xD) and Im glad that Aqua is still recognizable as him. After Ai died he seemed like a completely different person, but now with Sarina, maybe he can get a bit of his „happy“ side again

Aqua is showing that he actually cares to another character in the story for the first time during this arc, do you think this will end up in some kinda “I have no enemies” Vinland Saga stuff. Maybe this will become more likely when that documentary about Ai is shown or sumthing (idk if Aqua alr seen it).

Yeah this chapter was genuinely satisfying. I orginally didn't think Aqua could be able to comfort Ruby due how he is right now. However, he proved me wrong. Now as for Marina. Honestly I don't really feel like we need revenge on her at the moment. What she did was bad but now Ruby finally has someone to support her and knows her past. Plus Aqua already working on his big revenge so I doubt he has time to go after her. I will say I would find satisfying if all Aqua or even Ruby dose is scare her by mentioning Sarina in detail and this put Marina on edge to the point she basically ruin thing herself in paranoia driven states. Trying figure out how they found out. I doubt they go that route but like I said that dosen't matter at the moment. Unless she dose something to get in Ruby or Aqua way I doubt much will happen to her.

i legit cried and had to read it twice to absorb everything, i love this reveal and i'm really excited to see how they go from here. I had a feeling that Gorou knew Ruby was a young girl, and that (plus her looking like a blonde Ai) made him as protective as he is of her, but he obviously had no clue she was Sarina. And for Ruby's part, I wonder if knowing he's Gorou is going to make her more comfortable with talking to him about deeper things than before? or how she's going to handle the feelings she had for him for so long? In any case, I'm excited to see whatever is to come, the characters in this series are brilliant!

With all the times Ruby's teased Aqua about being a siscon, I have a feeling this reveal is going to make her eat her words. Whole.

It's probably one of the best chapter of Oshi No ko. I felt so relieved that finally Ruby realised.

This chapter game so much relief as it finally gave our two protagonist the relief *they needed.* One human heart can only take so much suffering unless he/she connects with the surrounding family and friends and they can shoulder some of the burden together.

This was amazing!!! I'm so glad they finally know about each other and that they will support each other in the future.

It’s nice how we finally got the motive as to why Aqua is such a siscon, he saw Serena in Ruby this whole time.

it makes sense that aqua and ai ended up reincarnated as rubys real family bc they were the only ones she had that resembled a family in her past life 🥺 its amazing seeing all of it coming full circle. thru life and death they never stopped being her support. there to pick her up when she falls and heal her wounds. thinking of how aqua 'loved' ai is a little like how sarina 'loved' gorou. on love now aqua reflected his love for ai was more familial than romantic and it made me think that also referenced the "crush" sarina had on sensei and she finally realizes this now ironically when she tells aqua she nevrr seen him as her brother and to stop acting like hes her real brother. and all that changes after aqua validates sarinas existence when her own family wiped her memory. her real family was right here all along

it's so relatable, I wanted to avenge my father because he remarried with other chick and left me and my mom just two of us... I always wanted to give some sort of revenge, that's why I studied abroad, attained jobs and just keep hitting it like my sole purpose is only for revenge.. But in the end of the day, I realized that's wrong. I never contacted my father again but my perception changed and through Oshi no Ko I learn a lot ❤

Probably one of the most heartbreaking manga chapters I've read in at least as of the recent years 😭😭 Really anxious as to how Akasaka will handle Aqua's role from here on out now.

I cried twice today. First) The anime ended 😭😭😭.... I can't believe it's so fast. It felt like it just started airing yesterday! Right now, i feel like a big part part of my life has left me (same feeling when they announced Ash and Pikachu were retiring)... But still Season 2 is coming soon, don't know when. Fr, I can relate. Knowing this was the last episode really felt like a chunk of me was taken away too, like Ash and Pikachu 😭 Thank goodness Season 2 was confirmed and I’m guessing prolly next year. I wonder if they'll make an epilogue arc like they did for the prologue arc. Also Aka Akasaka-sensei said the end has already decided. So I don't know what's in store for us. Yeah, I really don't get those shippers at all. Like it was a surrogate dad daughter situation and it was really sweet, so the whole incest stuff ruins it.

I just started watching oshi no ko last night and had to keep reading after i caught up with the anime. And i have to say i started at the perfect time ive been wanting to see this for so long (the past day)

Oshi no ok manga ending theory: (And this will be a long one, So get ready) 1. The final arc takes place at the Dome. 2. Aqua’s Movie Plan goes into full swing. 3. Hikaru shows up in his disguise and FINALLY reveals himself to his kids and the Audience at the end of the movie. 4. Hikaru tells his ENTIRE life story from HIS perspective. 5. Hikaru has this epic moment where he says “ Why don’t you come and give your old man a hug Huh, Aqua and Ruby”. 6. HUGE FINAL SHOWDOWN BETWEEN EVERYONE VS HIKARU. 7. Either Hikaru kills Akane in front of Aqua or Akane sacrifices herself to save Aqua and dies in his arms😭. 8. At the End of the Fight, Aqua and Ruby are on the verge of death as their backed into a wall as Hikaru walks towards them while slowly dying himself. 9. Hikaru gives a First and Last heart warming hug to his kids before he passes away in front of them just like Ai did and drops to the ground DEAD. 10. Both Aqua and Ruby stare in complete Shock at their dead Father and fall to the ground while barely conscious themselves due to their injuries. 11. The Crow Girl Shows up Immediately after and congratulates the twins for their victory over Hikaru. 12. Aqua and Ruby take one last look at each other as they both slowly pass away due to receiving fatal injuries from the fight. 13. Some closure for the other side characters in the final Chapter/Episode as they all mourn Aqua and Ruby’s passing and they all stare into the Sky as the screen cuts to Black. The End P.S: Do you think my theory is JUST the right amount of accurate. If not, then let me know How YOU think the Story will End.

Lmao u had this ready! 😂 Ok so 1-5 actually seem pretty likely. I can see them meeting Hikaru at the dome and him trolling them. Idk if we’ll actually get a full on fight tho, but it would be hype af if it happened how you wrote it! The way Hikaru died kinda seemed like how Itachi died too lel 10 to the end is most likely how it can end as well with crow girl showing up and us getting closure. I think what I have in mind for the end is that Aqua spares Hikaru for some reason, although I hope he doesn’t, and then he gets therapy along with closure for everyone else.

@@ZephyrRetro I guess that can be a good ending to, unfortunately we can’t know for sure. After all this is Aka’s Manga and he has every right to do whatever the Heck he wants with it. And I am DEFINITELY not saying that I could do a BETTER job at ending a series. BUT LET’S BE REAL, That would be INSANELY HYPE, and it would be a pretty wholesome way to bring the story Full Circle. P.S: With how much Aka loves referencing Itachi and The Uchiha in general, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Ruby definitely did not mean Aqua is not family to her as the old chapters, both of them treated each other like siblings and family and idk why but the chapter that Ruby appear in a tv show when she say hi to Aqua was like a very sibling thing.

Wholesome chapter after seeing the painful reunion with Ruby and her previous life mom. Glad they can finally work together for the movie and for the fated face off with Kamiki

I was so bored I predicted the chapter correctly somehow 😂😂😂

This is an important chapter because finally the two discover WHO they really are and we will certainly see an improvement with the relationship between the two boys. This series has taught us that sooner or later people who have done bad things are PUNISHED. So I really believe that in the next chapters Marina will truly receive a PUNISHMENT for her past actions and in my opinion (I repeat IN MEIN) it will be Ruby (with the help of Aquamarine) who will reveal her identity to her now old mother and later he will lash out at them for what Marina has DONE IN THE PAST and she may say later that Marina can only have TRUE redemption by FULLY accepting her responsibilities. But the certain thing is that sooner or later Marina will receive a great punishment.

Sarina and goro kinda have a father daugther relationship which is really cute

Here we go boys after watching the anime and waiting for this event..the Hoshino twins finally talk about their past lives and it’s worth the wait!!

I'm pretty sure most of us anticipated that during that hospital visit, they were going to find out who they really were on the inside. I'm glad we were right. But my question now is... How will they treat or see each other from now on? Still as brother and sister, or reunited souls who were looking for each other their whole lives? Really good chapter though, really satisfying to read after all the grief those twins had to go through.

Im really glad this moment happened, I really wanna see the anime adaptation so badly 😭😭😭

I am so tempted to watch these bro ahhhhh but I am going to wait for sesson 2

I couldn’t help but imagine Ruby saving Aqua due to this facts, but with the cost of her life like one of those heroes thing, and I bet that the last person who can pull Aqua out of darkness is her, once she know his pursuit of revenge.

Manga writers could learn a lot from this. I hate manga that use endless filler and never progress. Oshi No Ko and Spy X Family are doing it right.

If chapter 2 was written with a plan of Ruby's black eyes becoming a thing in later chapters, she should have 1 white star only again. Her black eyes came after realising what is responsible for Ai's and Gorou's death, but Gorou being the stronger cataclyst of the 2. Another possibility is having 1 star, temporarely changing colors. But compared to Aqua being black from time to time, Ruby changes to white when Aqua's around. Aqua is hard to tell.

FINALLY

I realised something, it took two losses for both Aqua and Ruby to drive them into darkness. The reason Ruby didn't turn out like Aqua at first was Ai's death was her first loss, by that time it was already Aqua's 2nd. So with the discovery of Gorou's remains, she became as vengeful as Aqua and followed by finding out her original mother had abandoned her all this tine, she almost went completely nuts by chapter 122

This chapter was fire ong

When that crow girl said "youve made a wrong choice" or some shit, it made me scared. Something bad is going to happen i can feel it, something real bad.

I hope Aqua also changes like Ruby, because if not, then Aqua’s solely doing this so that he can be the only one who gets his revenge. Also, your narration was top notch!

and as we can see in chapter 123, it ends with ruby saying that they made a promise, and that she is already past 16 years old. so the meme is becoming real it seems. or she laughs this idea away and have to continue with the idea that it's not possible to marry him. but just glad they meet again. and he said he would support her so she can now focus with a clear mind. i also realy wonder if she is going to continue to clear thinks up with her mother (as Sarrna). chapter 123 that released today was also an interesting one. and really cleared things up with ruby and aqua
