The success of the Georgians speaks for themselves. These are two important tools in an arsenal of tools. Does not directly translate to strength on the table but more bicep muscles can increase your max for more specific movements like the Devon pronation lift.

If the limiting factor of the Devon's pronation lift is your arm strength instead of your pronation, you have some ridiculously weak arm

It helps, but it doesn't have much carry over, Larry Wheels is a perfect example dude did a 230lbs strict curl and he was getting beat by Ryan Bowen and Schoolboy at the time....

I’d argue against that bro tbh I think when your training heavy curls and doing armwrestling at the same time they do carry over I mean it did for me and I went from a nobody to number 1 overall in my town doing pretty much only heavy bicep curls , wrist curls , bench , dumbbell rows and and I mean no one here can open my arm up cuz my bicep is so strong so I’d argue that it definitely does carry but it depends on the person

@Anonymous-hy8cn I don't care how strong your biceps are, if you get turned palm up or wrist cracked back, mostly likely you're getting pinned unless you're Uncle Todd...

@@mk5rob42 I’ve been armwrestling for almost 3 years and I can flip wrist press so no I’ve purposely let my own wrist go back and then flap wrist pressed so no even if my wrist goes back I still dont get pinned not anyone here can beat me anyway and my wrist is like iron so basically unless I purposely put it back it doesn’t get cracked and I’m also superheavyweight so I even train sometimes with my wrist cracked back and no one here can pin me even like that so yes curls do translate to armwrestling it just depends on the person curls work for me so imma keep doing them oh and btw I’m only 20 years old ✅💪

the point of what you guys call "cheat" curling isnt perse cheating armwrestling wise. for instance, you dont only stand still and only use your bicep strength, its your body as a whole thats being used, thats why levan did it that way, and he even held it at the end :)

But, the further you lean back the easier it is, plus the more momentum there is will also be factor, that's why it needs to be strict curl when measuring bicep strength 💪😞

I don't workout hardly at all so I can't say much, they all doing wayyyy more than I'll probably be ever to do in a lifetime lol. But seems to me having longer arms in a strict curl would make it even harder to do?

I’ve been resistance training and arm wrestling non professionally for over 40ys, and have about a 98% lifetime win ratio in arm wrestling, and I have never emphasized curls in my training, I’m with Todd Hutchings, and definitely think that curls are extremely overrated for arm wrestling performance, At least for my style & experience personally.

Strict curl of course strengthen your arm and hooking ability. BUT I prefer doing it with low weight and more reps .And seated curls is also beneficial for hooking ability

I am a Devon fan but he is going to get crushed again. Not because he would not be able to beat Levon ever but because Levon always takes Devon extremely serious. Levon always comes in his best shape for Devon. He is just too strong. Really both these guys bodies are a chemistry experiment in regards of supplementation.
