I pre-ordered this KJV in Sahara Blue with the solid blue art gilt edge and it's gorgeous. I can confirm that the "semi yapp" is indeed full in the sense that the opposite edges meets if flexed as you showed, it just doesn't overdo it and make the yapp extremely wide and overlapping! My copy arrived with a tiny tear in the inside leather liner between the gilt edge line and the stitching. But they offered me a nice discount which I took instead of getting a replacement. Sweet!, and what a great company Humble Lamb is! I can't wait to see what they reveal on June 28th!

BTW, you really deserve to have more subscribers and more views! You provide great information in well made and straight to the point short videos. Great stuff, and please do keep up the great work. Much appreciated.

My new Olive Slate one is full yapp as well! I'm so pleased with this beautiful bible. Thanks for pointing out the split liner...so interesting. Humble Lamb is really a wonderful company and I'm so happy to support them.

It would be awesome if they did a single column with side references like the Shephard but for the KJV.

I wish the blue letters in the NKJV Shepherd and NASB2020 HIStory Bible were as dark and easy to read as the KJV Lion Refresh. I'd like to see them even darker (or in bold) in the upcoming NLT Sonrise.

My desire was to get the NKJV in Sahara blue but it sold out so quickly! I ordered the KJV instead ( which I eventually wanted to get anyway) and it is gorgeous. I am a new follower of Jesus Christ and have read the NKJV with the exception of the Psalms and Proverbs. I am attempting to discover how the Psalms relate to a specific topic in scripture. I am now reading the One Year Chronicle Bible in large print and it is really helping me with rereading the Old Testament for the second time. I need the dates and the insertions of scripture that corresponds. I will read the Gospels in my new, stunning Humble Lamb Bible until I finish the one year chronological Bible. I received my new Lion KJV in Storm Gray goatskin yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice shade of gray. The goatskin texture feels dry and stiff, similar to the Zondervan’s Premier goatskin. The color is flat, versus a semi-gloss like the Schuyler, R.L. Allan Bibles, and the Humble Lamb Sahara blue. I hope it will soften with time and use.

Seems like a pretty awesome edition! I should be getting one sent to me soon. It’ll be the first KJV Lion I’ve seen in person

HL used a "Oxford similar" treatment in binding, 2 impressed lines at both ends of the tail bands- Allan actually slits those in their UK bindings and runs the goatskin down inside the spine, allowing their UK Bible to lay completely flat. HL is doing the same, but spits the center between the 2 impressed lines...smart move on their part.

I saw that the original lion had the original 1611 praface, the translators to the reader. Does the refresh have this as well.

@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I'm pleased that the KJV Lion Refresh features both The Epistle Dedicatory to King James and the Translators Notes. Many KJV Bibles do not include both.

Huh - I didn't even notice the split in the inner leather lining! Not sure I like that, but it's barely noticeable. Hopefully it won't affect durability. Also, what's the definition of "full complement of reference"? Various bibles I've seen boast different total numbers, from 30,000 up to 80,000 or so. Is a true full set some particular specific number? In past correspondence with customer support they said the following when I asked about it: "Thank you for reaching out, our KJV Lion has the full set of cross-references, meaning over 60k. We work with Scribe, the largest Bible typesetter in America, they provide the cross-references for us. So they are the standard cross-references that you will see in other KJV Bibles. However, since the KJV is public domain, this doesn't stop other publishers from adding whatever cross-references they want. We don't add or subtract cross-references, as our mission is simply to elevate the design, layout, and craftsmanship of the Bible."

Full set means all of them. I believe the NKJV has over 73K. And the split will not have any durability issues at all. Just saves some cost on leather.

What does a First edition go for???
