I’ve had one for over a year. It’s been pretty good. I agree that you could convert a regular BP and it’d work just fine. My wife got me this for a birthday gift. My biggest issue is the straps start digging into my clavicle and becomes very uncomfortable. This may just be my fault as I tend to pack it with a ton of tackle. A third strap around the chest would have gone a long way. The other issue is the front mesh pocket never seems to close. It’s like the opposite of Velcro. Other than that this bad boy has been on several pond hopping expeditions and has not let me down.

Glad to hear it's lasted for at least a year. My son also got his as a gift. My son complained that the bag rides kind of uncomfortably on his lower back, but he also jam packs it full.

Yeah loaded backpacks need to rid high and you need a 3rd strap around front for longer trips

I got one of these for $60 on sale sometime last year, it hasnt been bad but that contact on the lower back already has me looking to find a new one or start lightening up 😅

if your in the market for a backback you can go one of 2 ways. The cheaper route is to just grab tackle warehouses backpack for $60 or $70. If you want to go the high end route your best bet in my opinion is the shimano black moon but its like $200 an change. I have the black moon & it hold 3 36 or 3700 boxes & can hold more soft plastics in the front than you could ever need.

I'm currently using a repurposed school back pack😂🤣 however, it works surprisingly well. However, it is on its last legs and I would like to upgrade. I'll check out the Shimano one for sure. Thanks for the tip.

@@SuburbanAdventures yea the shimano has a ton of room & it’s really built for someone that likes to take a lot of stuff with them lol. I ended up getting a kayak this year and switching over to the blackpack pro. I still used the bags from my shimano bag to hold all my soft plastics. Great for keeping things organized

i had one for over a year and used it everyday my one complaint about it is that the straps should be attached higher up the bag I'm 6 foot 5in with broad shoulders and chest so its not the easiest to put on and take off so would usually carry it by the top handle

Interesting....yeah, it seems to be like the biggest issue I've heard/experienced is the strap placement and or comfort of the straps or how the big rides on your back.

No, he is not the best looking, nor is he the most logically designed. The side zipper doesn't seem as smooth, and this material isn't waterproof. With 120, you can buy a better backpack. In fact, Googan's products are priced too high; some things are of good quality, but the price is still very expensive.

  • @SuburbanAdventures

I do agree, as I mentioned in the video, I think $120 is steep for any fishing back pack, even this one. The material is probably best described as water resistant not water proof. It does seem to shed some water, but I certainly wouldn't submerge it. 🤣😂 Thanks for watching and commenting.
