In the flesh they dont look special enough...the thing that made me look twice was the 4leaf clover..the m4/m3/RS5 give you the status that one needs..also look way more aggressive.

It's bloody gorgeous is what it is! Quite simply in its own category and no one could tell me otherwise! Dream car indeed.

Agreed. It's the best sports sedan on sale for the last 6 years. It's a work of art and has been bulletproof for the last 4 years of ownership. You really want the 2018/19 model years with the deep and loud exhaust note yet pleasant sounding. I'm both in love and intimidated by this bespoke car. Thank you Sergio Marchionne for returning Alfa Romeo to its DNA roots.

Love my Quadrifoglio. They are a great all rounder - can be quiet, comfortable and relatively economical when you want, or loud and lairy depending on your mood. To be honest I do think that this (and your other reviews on it) make it out to be more of a handful than it really is. The combination of Race mode (no traction control), the Corsa tyres and cold weather is never going to be a good mix. Dynamic mode and something like MPS4S or Goodyear F1 SS tyres makes a huge difference. It's still great fun but you don't feel like it's going to kill you :-)

Just swapped the Pirellis for full set of PS4S and it’s definitely a better all season solution here in the UK.

So pleased that I chose the Quadrifoglio. It’s such an epic cool car and has so much interest everywhere it goes 🍀

I cross shopped a C63S with the Giulia QV. The C63S was, objectively, the better car. But I took the Alfa home.

Had two Giulias now, a speciale and a veloce for 3 and 2 years respectively. As it gets time to think about the next car I am wavering on the QF that I’ve had my heart set on since forever, looking at things like the m240i, m3 etc. But after watching this video I have come to my ****** senses, next year I’m having that QF, because if not soon, it’ll be never.

Do it, for me it was the best decision buying a 2017 pre PPF Giulia QV, love that car to bits. Also QF is not a valid short for the Quadrifoglio. In fact just say QV for Quadrifoglio verde (Italian for green fourleaf clover 🍀).

I agree. How many supercars in 2017 had active aero and not just floppy plastic aero like the Ferrari 458. Alfa GTA/M. is definitely in the supercar league. All of the above Including limited edition exclusivity.

@sfef ABtv, I've owned a 2017MY. Fantastic car. Regarding 0-62 times, my friend has his N-ring with a tune ,and the Squadra Corsa logger. He did it in 3.07 seconds, and quarter-mile in 9.89 sec. So, yeah, with minor mods , it can be well over 600hp.

p zero corsa are great tyres in the warmer weather, in the winter or the cooler months I use sotto zeros. Giulia quadrifoglio is an outstanding car. I have owned mine since 2018 when I bought it new, I will always have one.

Absolute beauty - tyres wouldn't be an issue here in Queensland as it's quite warm all year round compared to the UK. Have to agree that it is a super saloon though. Punchy, powerful and gorgeous!

Need your help dude! Very tempted by the QV, had a drive of one yesterday and found it excellent. Currently i own a gr yaris and for me I don’t care about interiors etc just which is more fun. O and i do need 4 seats. I really think the 2 most fun 4 seater cars are the GR and the QV just not sure if i should make the switch. I love how the gr is like 3 cars in one but love how the alfa is like a Ferrari saloon. I think the alfa needed the goodyear eagle f1 supersport to get 95% dry grip of the corsas but with more usability in the damp and cold. This isn’t a problem for the gr. arrrrrgh.

Hi Lee... have owned our QF for over two years.... they are nothing short of "phenomenal"... every drive is special and proper enthusiasts appreciate it.

Nice vid Stef! I’ve got a Celtic Tuning remap on mine (+600bhp). It’s pretty hard to see past the performance the Giulia offers and make a switch to another car, especially at its price point (there’s nothing else like it). The Corsas are definitely not for British roads though they are amazing on track or blasting over alps.

@@Gazza-zg2tr yes I recommend the Celtic tune. I’ve had it three years, it’s done a couple of track days and trips to the alps. It’s a big increase in performance and it has been reliable too.

@@Gazza-zg2tr Hi Gary... Don,t know if its any use to you.. But NJS Alfa based in Pershore Worcestershire can do exact same tune as Celtic... My car now running a reliable 616bhp.. they can also do gearbox tune and exhaust flap mod aswell.. Neil the Owner there is brilliant and he won,t rip you off either... Have been using him for over two years on my QF. Hope that helps.. Regards, Rog

For what it is (family car) and for the price one pays, yes, it’s a super car. Has everything in respect of driving dynamics, sound, character, history, seating and…..the iconic badge. Tell it as it is, Stef, don’t hold back.

This car is a sleeper, it's one of those cars where the performance speaks louder than the looks

Had a veloce, the most infuriating and wonderful car at the same time. Had my circumstances been ever so slightly different, I'd have had the QV. Would I have another....? Absolutely.

Stef i put the Goodyear F1 Supersports on mine totally transforms this car.these tyres or Michelins make the car awesome.

Everyone can go fast in a straight line.Very few people are asking what this car is capable of the engineers have built you a runner.Push the pedal on the right more often

This is one of the first things i would buy when i would win the lottery!

I currently drive an X4M Competition. But if I had a garage big enough and some spare change I would definitely have one of these in the garage. Find me something that sounds better than this which is not a V8.

One thing I can tell you they shouldn't have come up with the Sprint stripped version is for sure. There are no paddles, no 18" wheels, average seats, no looks and it sounds like a washing machine. Too bad Quad has RWD, they should produce it with AWD like the Jag IDD. My awd XE has it and I love it.

No doubt the Giulia Quad is a supercar, and a tremendous bargain. It is rare, and will remain so since Stallantis has said Alfa Romeo will go all EV. This car will disappear soon. Those lucky few who have one, me included, will always remember what an epic car it is.

The QV is a GT and sports car. My QV is super!

Can you ask Alfa Romeo UK for a Quadrifoglio now that it's summer? As you know the P-Zero Corsa are not safe and do not perform well with it's below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

It’s not a super car because it’s more practical than one. But its special.

If I had the money I’d buy this tomorrow just have to settle with my mk4 Lexus GS 450h f sport instead.

Only thing I'm worried about is the brake by wire system ? Is it OK ?

Hi... I have never had any issues with my brakes... I have the carbon ceramics aswell... never any problems with them and the stopping power is just phenomenal even from 150+mph... There is someone who keeps posting about the brakes on his car failing but I believe he is just an idiot who ran out of talent and crashed his car.... now THAT IS fairly easy to do if you abuse 500+ horsepower especially on a wet or damp road. Anyway..... from a personal aspect. I can only describe my QF as "the best car I have ever owned"...... and I have owned Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghini, AMG, M cars RS5 etc etc Regards Roger

very nice car and you can actually get a used one for £32k-35k a bargain and a lot of performance/car for the money. imo a supercar needs to be low, 2 seaters, exclusive and rare on the road and also in it's design which shouldn't be used on cheaper models. Even 911 GTS is even faster than this not only top speed but 0 to 60 but they are not considered supercars.

It’s the best saloon on the market but it needs more torque and abit more power to match the new M3

Just sold mine 19 plate fantastic car reliable and didn't lose much in 3 years, coupe version please Alfa and sack your dealers off they are rubbish.

There will be no coupe. Best bet is a future Duetto in EV era to compete with EV Porsche Cayman, reborn MR2, Audi TT etc

Really hard one. The GTA M is incredible. You pay for the rarity and the performance on the track. Won’t notice a huge amount of difference on the road. A bit but not 80k’s worth of different. That said I absolutely love the GTA M and after driving it it makes the QV look tame in terms of its styling. Power wise it’s not a drastic difference

The Giulia quad needs the Stelvio quad’s all wheel drive system! Given that it would be an undisputed world beater!! I’m praying that will be the key change for the facelift version. Until then I’m going to keep piling on the miles and the smiles in my tail happy Italian diva!

Won't happen - MY23 is a relatively soft facelift outside, digital instruments inside, new infotainment and a powered trunk lid. May be some extra power but below GTA. From MY27, when they are all EV, you will likely get all wheel drive from motors at both ends.

For MY20, but in Europe mainly (couldn't be homologated in other markets so the old ones stayed)

Had mine 2019 qv nearly a year now but sadly its probably spent a good 2 months sat in the alfa garage. The problem?..... keeps warping the front drivers break disc. Its currently sat in the garage as we speak for the 3rd time with the same problem. Its all under warranty and the garage have never quibbled once but they just don't know what's causing it, so frustrating. Apart from that when it is on the road it's an absolute dream to drive. Just an after though actually there is one more thing which I don't see reviewers mention and that's the tyre skip when you are turning tight corners at slow speed it's the worst I have experienced on an car.

I bought a brand new 156 many years ago and the engine warning light came on 10 mins after collecting it from the dealer. Long story short - I had multiple issues with the car from day 1 and Alfa couldn’t fix it . I got rid after a year as it was in the garage literally every other week. As much as I appreciate Alfa I would never buy another .

It’s not a super car,it’s a super saloon.

Would love one of these especially now the centre console has gotten rid of that extra black plastic! But! The Alfa dealers are just so bad I wouldn't risk it

Alfa have several odd looking wheels in their Giulia parts catalog. One in particular, a black-finished seven hole telephone dial style one, looks as if it was intended for mounting snow-tires ... just say'n.

Dare I say it?….Future Classic??!!…..I think it will be as soon as it comes out of production. The next gen will be electric 🤥

The best thing about Giulia is the ordinary car that has almost the same handling and character. So sad people do not understand this car and complain by comparing it with some other boring vehicles.

@@BojanBojovic that's indeed the development path they took with the chassis. But the electronics, powerplant and drivetrain differ significantly (ignoring the carbon weight saving too). Otherwise a 718 Cayman is the same as a 718 Cayman GTS? Don't think so 😂 Proof of this is now the 'Estrema' edition, which picks up more Quadrifoglio drivetrain parts but is still no twin... again like an M340i to an M3 😃

The character of the car, the way it handles and steers, the way it drives and reacts when driving slow, it is typical Alfa. This is what differentiate this brand from many others, you have the recognisable character of the car even in their slowest models. Have you driven the older models?

@@BojanBojovic I have no issue with you saying a Veloce has a different character to a BMW or other rival, and the Quadrifoglio too, but to their respective models in the range. But a Veloce is no Quadrifoglio (Estrema is the new in-between anyway) and, yes, driven both plus Germans and British on track, not to mention Asian saloons (eg Lexus and Kia Stinger). It's OK to be proud of your cars, but don't daydream too much (there is also a price difference for a reason as well as Nurburgring times). The Veloce impressed me a lot.

Super cars should only have 2 doors and 2 seats + other defined requirements. Maybe super saloon is a better definition.

@@patrickbateman7122 the GR is a lot of fun in all weather and so light and nimble. The alfa has faster acceleration and good noise. Both fun in different ways. Whenever i get back from a b road blast in the gr i say to myself i cant imagine a better b road car!

As good as BMW and Mercedes. The difference is, lower volumes make it seem like they have more problems than the Germans plus smaller dealer network. You can't also compare an MY17 to MY20 as they've been vastly improved.

I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again! Buy an AUDI, BMW or Mercedes instead.

If what you claim even happened, there's always 2 sides to every story and you cry because you didn't get what you want (full replacement instead of insurance market value?). You're alive... think of fatalities due to proven engineering shortcomings in any car unfortunately, like Audi TT or Tesla S as examples. Again, if true, you crash a car and blame a system used by other manufacturers and not known to have caused problems to anyone else. GROW UP AND STOP SPAMMING, TROLL.

The issue with the car is that it automatically starts up in normal mode, which means the exhaust valves are automatically closed and you can't open them for the start-up. But once you open the valves, the exhaust note is so much louder. And I wouldn't say it's awful at all, you need to compare it to its rivals in the same price range (c63 or m3), it sounds way better. So saying it starts up awful really is a lie

@@Paul-mo5zj Louder is definitely not better, and the noise in the video at 3:15 is tragic. The old Busso V6 is music by comparison. The Jag F-Type sounds better and is also a 90 deg V6. Noise like looks are subjective but to me that's just a racket

I own one and I really assure you that it sounds so much better in person, but yea it’s still nowhere near as nice a sound as the old engines sadly (especially with the OPF)

Bare in mind the mic was right by the exhaust so sound is much louder than it would be to the normal ear mate. I think it’s sounds good 🤷🏻‍♂️
