Same here John, never owned an Alfa before and after getting my 2018 Veloce 2yrs ago, I’m stuck with this babe for the rest of my life 😩. Guys pls avoid this babe if you thinking of making it a side chick 😂

I’ve daily driven mine for 2 years now. Took me a couple months to get used to race mode in mine! Switched to Michelin tires (more grip below 70 degrees) and it pulls mid 3 second 0-60 on the street every time from 1st gear. I’ve owned plenty of fast cars but the Giulia QV has been by far the best. Getting to drive it every day is a treat and a privilege. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored with this car. Your review is all spot on and you guys have such authentic reactions! Well done.

@@greg5143 Honestly reliability has been awesome. I bring it in once a year (10K miles) for standard maintenance and everything has functioned perfectly. I think as long as you drive them often they are super reliable. The F154 derived engine paired with the ZF8 transmission and magnetic ride suspension is a perfect setup.

Me too m8 you know what you are talking about. I am at my third and i grew up with alfas as an italian. Here in germany most people talk shit about alfa but if they see you passing them in an Alfa there eyes went big 🤩 😂 You have to drive one to know what Emotions are. (Have an Alfa 159 ti 3.2 v6) Hopefully the next one is the giulia qv 🍀🍀

Me too I'm on my 12th but I am 58 at the moment I have a giulia quadrifoglio in trofo white and a 159 ti in black another stunning alfa. I've had alot of other makes over years nothing beats Italian forget about the so called german garbage

@Riccardo Sorry its not a Ferrari gearbox, its a regular 8 spd ZF transmission with Alfa designed internals. Same gearbox is used in all Giulia models (Unless its manual 😉)

@@lindonandlisa8114 Yes and no. EVs are not silent, they have their own unique palette of sound going on and its not worse, just different. And everyone will appreciate a quieter soundscape in cities and along major roads...

Bought a 2019 QV 6 months ago after selling my e92 m3, which was my 3rd m3 in a row. Done 3000 miles so far in the qv. What a car..truly nuts in race mode. Crazy fast. Unbelievably precise and planted chassis, yet subtle and not too harsh. Great grip, beautiful, raw yet soulfull engine note. The car is really balanced and predictable. Absolutely adore it. Such a focused raw machine and so addictive

Egregiously overdesigned rear diffuser? lol it's actually one of the only cars (esp in its pricing) that has a functional diffuser that was developed in a proper wind tunnel and one that actually does produce downforce. Nothing about it is overdesigned, especially egrigiously.

This. The whole car is a pure aero package. No other saloon I know of can handle high speed like the giulia... There is no need for a pop up spoiler at 110kph (Audi...) the underside is flat.. The car is extremely stable even at 240kph... It is stunning that the QV only has a lip to keep it stable at 300....

Best car i have ever owned on my second one now,7.32 around the N Ring whats not to like.great car.

I drove a 1990 M3 for 3 years. Besides being a massive money pit, it was the most exciting BMW I have driven. I test drove the Quadro Stelvio last week and it was a blast so I can only imagine how much better the handling is on the Giulia.

Ive had mine for 3 months. It's early but I think I'm hooked. Love the steering and suspension, not to mention the powertrian and sound. And I love that I never see them where I live (Texas). But buyer beware, Race mode is no joke....make sure your tires are warm!

Come on ! the brand logo sign is on the left the Milan flag, and the snake is the "biscione", symbol from Visconti family, that have multiple explanations, including the eternal revival

I own this car, its one of the best cars i'v owned fun to drive. I also like my Ferrari 812 superfast.

I’d buy it in a heartbeat if I had the money. It’s an historic car, one of the last great petrol engines. I’ve owned two Alfas, an MB and a Porsche, and only the Alfa’s had character. Just something about them that makes you smile when you drive them. They were actually more reliable than the Merc, which was always in the shop for electrical issues. The Porsche 911 was fun, but soulless and impractical.

The unreliability stigma that Alfa suffers from just isn’t fair any more, after years of owning Type R Hondas with their bulletproof reliability I took the chance on a QV, and boy am I glad I did, the thing never misses a bit, it’s gorgeous and a lot of fun to drive, definitely a good move for me, beauty is in the eye of the beholder sure but no current bmw or merc even comes close to its appearance

Very entertaining review fellas. My 2017 QV has 115000km on the clock, has never missed a beat, still feels as stupidly fast as it did 3 years ago, and I will never sell it. I’ve had M cars and Audi RS models. The Alfa beats them all.

Absolutely love my Alfa's, I started of with a Giulia Q4 then upgraded to the Quadrifoglio. My wife has the base Stelvio and wants the Quadrifoglio version now.

Having done public product demonstrations both on track and road with both the Giulia Quattrifoglio and the C63 AMG S, i can confidently tell you that the Giulia is in a class of it’s own. The Merc handles like a big fat pig on skates, compared to the needle sharp handling of the Giulia. Also in real life, the Giulia is simply a much much faster car than the AMG. No comparison. Not going to comment on the BMW’s for comparison, as all BMW’s are utter junk.. Also, you guys should do more research on Alfa’s history, as it’s apparent you have little to no knowledge of Alfa’s significance in the motor industry..

You should look up what the logo and the quadrifolio badges mean. :) Good stories behind both.

Had mine for a year. Change the Pirelli tyres for Michelin and it’s a different (even better) animal all together.

Alfa does the best shade of red of any car I’ve ever seen. I was once told it’s because they add specks of blue into the red. Would love to know if this is true. In any case, no other car manufacturer does red like AR.

Exactly this. Switch to like Michelins and it totally transforms the whole car and more driveable in cooler temps.

Id be buying one of these now. Itll appreciate in 5 years when we're all driving 4 cylinder turbos and/or teslas. I traded my M2 in for a Tesla M3P and I'm regretting hardcore not just holding onto my M2. Tesla is great but I miss the drama and noise. You boys would understand. Great review. i can suggest you to get an used one of the standard model, they're really fun to drive even with less hp. Basically the drivetrain is the same because the did the quadrifoglio first and then kept the base. My 150hp 2.2 Diesel have been mapped to 220 Hp.

The massive breaks do say Alfa Romeo, but they're indeed Brembo, 4 piston in the front, 2 at the back. It's easy to achieve better times by breaking with the left foot to revv up before releasing the break. It's the recommended "launch mode". And yes, the engine is indeed a Ferrari F154 engine, engine code 690T.

Lucky that technology has improved and Alfas are as reliable as any Japanese car these days. I have owned five, including some of the older unreliable ones and a 2017 Giulia with 120 000km

Because they are an unknown brand with a bad reputation for reliability to most people. Plus most people don’t value how a car drives anymore which is the main reason to buy this car.

Stellantis is going to discontinue the Giorgio platform and with it the Gulia and Stelvio. It is a lovely car but $150k plus for a soon to be discontinued product with potential reliability problems is too much in my opinion. I would have an M3 instead even though the Italian has tons more brio and character. But The Gulia is really beautiful compared with bugs bunny M3.

@@Anttihii I can only speak from experience having owned 2 F80 M3s, one after the other. I had a 2014 bought lightly used with 15,000 km. I owned it for 4 years and sold it with 110,000 km, it always had regular oil changes every 6 months and tyres / brakes etc. Traded the 2014 on a new F80 ZCP in late 2018 and very regrettably sold that 2 years later with 40,000km due to divorce. Both were driven not hidden, zero issues with either.

The rear of the car screams Japanese, Kia Forté someone. $105,000 no way. Pass. Next.

@@alfisti93 Probably not. I wouldn’t know because that’s a useless metric on the road. I absolutely love the Quadrafoglio BTW. My brother had one. Amazing and beautiful. And I’m actually not that bothered about 0-60 times, despite my comment. My 340 is just a daily driver. One that has to contend with hot summers and cold, sloppy snowy winters with just about enough on the dynamics side to satisfy. It’s got useable real-world performance and amazing comfort and economy. So it’s a ‘head not heart’ car. I’d go Alfa all the way for soul and passion. But I won’t I don’t think. If I have a second vehicle, you know, a petrol sporty car to keep forever and just for weekend fun, it would be mid engined, manual gearing and rear wheel drive. And preferably no roof. Or a nice restored 1973 Alfa GTV! 😊

@@final_mile_music9713 In AUS (I presume) 0-120mp/h is definitely a meaningless metric - here in Germany not so much. For a daily driver the 340 is already a pretty nice vehicle, so congrats! I was just under the impression you were comparing an AWD 0-60 time with a RWD powerhouse, which struggles for traction on those worn out Pirellis... And that wouldn't be a fair comparison. It's just a shame Alfa shoot themselfes once more in the foot again, (typical, really) when they decided against a wagon/estate option on their Tipo 952 Giulia. It basically killed the car here in Europe from the very beginning. Anyway, I hope you have fun with your straight six and perhaps one time you can pick up a certain "F154" V6 in a ludricous sedan! It's really something special - not only because it's so darn rare.

Stop with the accents otherwise review was ok.

I really don't know if this is a good review. Can't understand half of what you are saying with the bad accent. Awesome car though. Owned one since 2018 with no major issues. Try not to attempt an Italian accent in the future mate.

I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Also, after having had various discussions with other people, it's come to my attention that they should not have sent someone from Bosch to diagnose my vehicle because they did not design the braking system. Which means that not only is alfa/stellantis designing crappy vehicles, but they are also shady af! Anyways, stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again! Buy an AUDI, BMW, Mercedes or literally anything else instead!!

Well, the electric powered steering in my BMW 330e locked up not allowing me to steer while driving. Luckily I was only driving 50km/h but it still caused me to crash. They also didn't take responsibility until a year later after going back and forth. Meanwhile my fathers Alfa Stelvio is still going without any issues. Problems can come with any car, any brand. You just have to be unlucky.

The same copied comment again. Youre really not able to understand it. Yes go buy a Mercedes, who had a similar system that had over 2 million recalls. Yes go buy a BMW with the same system as the Alfa BECASUE ITS SAFE AND RELIABLE and your single experience with your bad dealer cant change it, complain about the dealer not the system.
