Nissan's previous dedication to CVT transmissions had permanently marked them off my list as a brand to consider. I'm very happy to see that now using torque converters and backing away from CVTs at least in some products

If you change your fluids and filters every 20K your CVT will last. Slot of people abuse their vehicles by running on old oil or old transmission fluid. Take care of your vehicle and it will take care of you.

It looks pretty good actually. I think a full bench would be more useful than a third row but in general it is a nice suv.

This '23 Pathfinder is amazing. Not only does it not have a CVT anymore, but the off-roading gear makes it look more rugged too.

I just saw a black Pathfinder Rock Creek edition at the dealership today. Looks badass in person! I love the design, the engine, the mpgs, the cubby under the console, the captain's chairs, the Rock Creek trim level, and the badging. I prefer leather seats at that price point, but definitely would purchase if I was in the market for a new 4x4 suv. Great driving on/off road a bit in this review, Joe. Good times!

Nissan’s styling has often been impressive over the last 30 years or so. Quality less so.

Nissan should think about making an off road division just like with ford with the raptors or Toyota with TRD. I think that will bring a lot of off road enthusiast to try something new

I really like this trim, I was going to buy a 2022 Pathfinder, then I saw your video for the New York auto show. Then the rock creek is the trim I will be getting. I know I'm 1 of just a handful, but I'm glad this trim does not have a sunroof. It's only a matter of time before they start leaking and making noise. Thanks for another great video as always.

I like having the sunroof delete package. not tall but have a problem being able to drink with a sunroof package blocking my drinking. ( can't tilt head back and take a drink)

This Nissan looks very nice and updated. This has much more curb appeal that the Explorer that remains outdated. I think they will have a lot of success with this vehicle...as long as the retailers quit this insane upcharge on new models!!!

Your shooting location is SOOO appropriate for this vehicle. The only paths it’ll find are the ones to the mall, and maybe the occasional grass strip at 10:13 you drove over. Great way to show it in its natural habitat! 😂

Might be time to finally trade my 2010 Xterra for this model. LOVE the older body design coming back!

Once thing to keep in mind is that this car is a soft roader, not anything near as capable as our Xterras are. If your X is paid off, it may behoove you to keep it and have it your dedicated offroader.

I have a 2011 X and a rock creek ,the X feels much sturdier but the pathfinder is much nicer for a long drive .

Have 22 Pathfinder Platinum. We are 12K miles into it and so far it's been great. Just a couple of minor recalls which is to be expected for a first year vehicle but nothing major. We really like ours and the 9 speed transmission and 3.5L VQ engine is a great combo with smooth shifting and we are averaging about 21mpg. All of the things you mentioned it's missing (ventillated seats, sunroof, digital dash, heads up display) are included in the Platinum trim. The Rock Creek looks to be in between the SL and SV trim levels.

I own a Nissan rogue 2012, 190K. I only replaced the catalitic converter ($600) after that everything has been OK. Next year I'm getting the new Nissan pathfinder. Looks great!!!

Okay! I have found my new suv! I live in middle of no where West Texas, the mile long road to my property has been untouched for over 500 years and the rains come heavy during hurricane season. We haul water and such back and forth and this vehicle checks all of my boxes. Plus it looks fantastic for road trips. Aside from all of those things, this review was fantastic. I'm here for every bit of the humor. 😂🙌🏽

Doing the interior LED bulbs upgrades only ran me for $24 usd and it’s super easy, hell even upgrading the turn signals, reverse and side markers was super easy! I used 8 marsauto T10 194 leds and one de3175 for the third row over head light!!

@@ahealthystudent For a while I had all the outside bulbs, turn signals, reverse and side marker with Lasfit Led, but I switched the turn signals back to halogen because they hyper flashed after leaving them running for 5 minutes. The reverse lights and side markers are LED and they have been running great so far! That was my experience with lasfit though, I’m sure more expensive ones will work!

We have the 20 Rock Creek and love it. Yes CVT and all. This new iteration is gorgeous and we look forward to getting into one in a year or two.

I have a 2002 r50 with 342K miles, a 2011 r51 with 148K miles, and had to skip on a cvt generation because, even the Nissan realized, it was crap. Now, this one looks like something I would like to drive. Looks like a well made midsize suv

I love that "Twinkie Tray". But a "bottle of goat's milk" in the door panel? Yuck! lol You've got just enough room in front and below the stick shift, for two Twinkies, 2 Beef Jerkies, a bottle of Kombucha, and three bags of Pop Rocks candies! lol

Loving My 2024 Pathfinder RC, She's in pearl white! ❤ We weren't looking for all that luxury and electronics, and after test driving 4 other SUVs, this was the perfect choice. True, lighting could be better. Awesome review 🙌👍

I am actually quite impressed with how much I like it. You just can't actually go off road with how low it is to the ground which is sad, a Mazda CX-50 is higher off the ground. Guess you could get a lift kit, but Nissan usually makes you replace your u joints, sway bar, and control arm if you do that because they only use single bolts underneath. Still....I like it, even though the interior is identical to the new Pilot, but I'd expect that from Nissan. I'd still get the Mazda, or a Titan XD Pro 4X. Great review!

I'm not really an SUV or off-road guy but this looks pretty nice. My one real ZONK is pretty small but it bugs me. At the side profile (starts about the 6:00 mark) I find the center bodyline problematic. The hood doesn't line up with the door so there is (what looks like) an inch or so difference in the color level. Then the difference on the C-pillar is even worse since it splits colors about 80% up. If they were trying to make this a proper two-tone then that line should flow better from front to back instead of looking like a P wave. It's a small thing but I couldn't stop seeing it. Honestly the only unreliable thing is the cvt. Engines are mostly bulletproof.

I wonder about that too. I have had a 2011 Maxima since 2013 with zero issues, but a lot has changed in the world since then. I worry that cost cutting at the OEM component level could lead to some really poorly made vehicles these days, but time will tell.

Is this the press copy we see in the 2023 brochures??? Nice!!! my girlfriend was torn between the Hyundai Palisades, Kia telluride and the rock creek, but after seeing that Kia and Hyundai lawsuit the rock creek became the no brainer 😍😍😍 and I agree!!

Wow.. That looks like a great car. We just bought a 2022 Sentra. We were very hesitant at first but after driving one, was really impressed. It has been a great car so far and the interior is beautiful with the two toned tan and black quilted leather. It's very comfortable and can't believe the gas mileage we are getting. Hope to have it for many years.

Just purchased a 2024 Sentra SR midnight edition in that white with black roof and I love it.

Man, it's gotta be a pepperoni and olive calzone from the NYC/Tri-State area! I've been looking for something to carry my rocks. Nice car, and NO CVT!

Don’t know about everyone else, but a goat cheese calzone sounds amazing! Lol

Does the RC edition come without a third row? i would rather have a cleaner full cargo area, flat floor.

"To the door panel!" You gotta market that somehow. Maybe some kinda accessory for a vehicle that has that saying on it.

They should have about 10 inches of ground clearance that can make it a nice off-roader.

They updated the key fob but they really need to update those gauges - same gauges out of a 2013 Altima

Thank you Joe/Lori, I’m purchasing the rock creek in Glacier White with Super Black roof. Thanks to your review. I’m trading in my 2023 Highlander XLE. I love Toyotas, but that 4 cylinder turbo engine has no power and it does not get good gas mileage at all. You would at least expect that from a Toyota but nope.

Not bad. Nissan is definitely making improvements. Next up can Nissan please offer a better warranty (say 4 yr/50K miles like VW or 5/60K like Hyundai and Kia) or complementary maintenance like Toyota?

@@bingo8789 Actually you don't. All Pathfinders are three rows and as a result, the second row is compromised. The seats sit too low and your knees are in your face. Second row feels more like a perch than a seat; you sit on it rather than in it. A true 2-row Pathfinder could have the back seat pushed a little further back, a little more height and rake to the lower seat cushion, etc.
