You can literally hear how much louder the interior noise is in the Highlander compared to the Pathfinder. Nissan is finding their way back and I hope that they can really make a massive comeback. This new Pathfinder looks awesome. Great review.

@@nittojoe136 I agree. I warned my ex wife not to buy her 2018 Pathfinder because of that CVT. I wasn't surprised when she started having problems already after 4 years. I'm glad they're doing away with that now. About time

I love Toyota but you’re 💯… love this pathfinder

After also considering the Telluride X-pro, I recently purchased the Pathfinder for $9000 less than what the Telluride would have cost. The Nissan dealer even slightly discounted the price. I really like the responsiveness of the 3.5 engine/ 9-speed transmission. Yes, it's an off-road poser, but I drive on dirt roads everyday and the Rock Creek handles this terrain well. The right front and 360 cameras are indispensable. Also, since I live in the desert, a sunroof option would have been a deal-breaker. It's totally unnecessary here, and fortunately the Rock Creek doesn't have one.

I recently bought the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder platinum trim and I absolutely love it. If you're looking into buying one, go ahead and buy it, I am happy with mine, no regrets, you'll love yours too.

I agree with you sam.. the nissan pathfinder is better and New all. nice with a mercedes 9 speed trans

It's actually a ZF 9 speed, not the same as the Merc.

Toyota dumped the v6 cause of emissions restrictions, so happy I got my wife one of the last v6’s

Another Great detail review Sam but, I would of love to see 2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport VS Nissan and XSE VS pilot Touring.

Easy choice, Pathfinder all day.

Pathfinder Rockcreek edition looks more tufter then a Highlander , I love the Pathfinder 👍

Awesome vid as always I was wondering if a race between a Camry 2.5 vs accord 1.5 vs k5 gt line vs Altima 2.5 would look like it might be boring but interesting nonetheless 👋

And FYI, quad means 4 my brother. The highlander has dual tips. Not criticizing, just helping. Great video, I enjoyed the review.

I checked out the Highlander by myself and it’s easily noticeable how cheap materials Toyota used to make this vehicle. In addition, the front door are thin and sounds bad while closing. Disappointed on the quality.

I ve 2018 pathfinder cvt runs well defiinetly this new punchy v6 pathfinder with no cvt would be my pick. The ride is more softer and more gentle than a highlander.

i watched other vlog regarding grand highlander. they tried to pass by a mild rough road but it wasnt able to pass, the rear tire doesnt rotate, i was so dismayed

IMO the highlander looks like a van, it doesn't have the boxier style of a suv. The pathfinder is more comparable to the new pilot. Great review Sam ✌️

I wish reviews would cover resale value after 3 and 5 years along with reliability rating/cost of ownership. Anyone who buys the Nissan will be quite disappointed if they dont keep the vehicle more then 10 years. Resale value can be many thousands of dollars less with a Nissan and that should be seriously considered by anyone not leasing.

You can’t do that with the current model. That would be totally unfair to the brands. You can only do a used car review, cost of ownership, and value. Like some Toyota models hold value, some are a total drain of cash.

@@GODiscomingsoonagain It’s a hit or miss We had a Nissan Juke and that car was trouble free until we got rid of it at 238k miles. Loved that car, it was a extremely quick small suv.

I think the rock creek has a different transmission. Its not cvt .

It's not fair with pathfinder---- you are comparing the wrong trim. you should compare it with Pathfinder SL - Prem.

Toyota dropped the V6, only due to US EPA emissions requirements. If it wasn't for federal requirements, it would still have the V6

dnt understand cause mpg is still almost the same vs with 3.5 liter...... the only thing if turbo is higher torque but mpg?, the same

@@bogart5131 EPA is looking at emissions data for that, not fuel efficiency. It gets the same MPG, but it produces much less CO2 and other tailpipe emissions.

Me I take highlander any time

Looking at same 2017 mid level trims and km’s on trader shows the Highlander priced 10k more. That is the bank of Toyota that Nissan simply can’t compete with.

I just can't get over the look of highlander. Looks slightly better, but they just look like a boring vehicle. Most highlanders in my area are ubers, lyfts and cabs.

This Pathfinder also has a clutch-based AWD system and it actually is worse than Toyota's.

Had to STOP Watching at 9 min. The information was not informative nor comparable. 1 Product has been out a few years and the other is New.

The interior is what makes the pathfinder interesting the outside looks so outdated which lead me to get the highlander better looking

Funny... the "Off road" Pathfinder Rock Creek has LESS Ground Clearance than the Highlander XSE (which is not posing to be an off-road vehicle...

Rock creeks seems pricy for the features. Not a big fan of either front style

@@SamCarLegion i promise it is not 4wd. Switch screens on the dash and it will show you where it is putting power. They just call it 4wd in the Pathfinder and awd in the Infinity qx60 we own both and they are the new ones.

Wasn't it always Pathfinder vs 4Runner? Nissan seems to be dying a slow painful death. The Titan is on its last lifeline, the new Z and the new GTR is a sad attempt, What happened to Nissan?

Pathfinder is now “ car “ based. When it went that route in 2013 sales increased dramatically. Explorer, Durango, Blazer, all once truck based SUV’s ride on car like unibody’s now. The 4Runner is basically in a class of its own these days.
