2023 Nissan Pathfinder Review: Rugged-ish
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In the earliest days of its existence, the Nissan Pathfinder was a sport utility fit for its own name, built to keep up with the likes of the Toyota 4Runner on the trail while remaining reasonably civilized off it. As time wore on, however, it traded in its adventurous persona something far more family-friendly.
The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek brings this midsize SUV at least a little closer to its roots, with rugged looks and a few features that should improve its performance off the beaten path. Best of all, it blends that newfound appetite for adventure with all the characteristics that make the Pathfinder perfectly suited for family life.
AutoTrader.ca Road Test Editor Dan Ilika reviews the more rugged version of Nissan's midsize SUV. The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek does its best to look the part of a capable off-roader, but how does it perform and what trade-offs does it make?

I think this guy is one of the best reviewers out there. Way better than other youtubers with a lot more viewers!

I'm flattered and greatly appreciate the kind words! My goal is to provide relevant advice that's easy to understand in the hopes of helping shoppers make informed decisions. Thanks again for the compliment, and thanks for watching!
Just bought one a few days ago and I'm a very happy camper.😊
Would like to see more of the car in your videos, great break down though.
More interesting interior (so dark inside and boring), better speakers, sunroof and little more ground clearance then I buy this car. Great review.
Dan, If you really don't need the capability of a body-on-frame SUV then a Hybrid CUV is the obvious alternative.

Nah. I’m wouldn’t. Gas only
Customer wants it would be nice not to be consistently judged.....there are varied degrees of adventure........i dont plan on buying one and going to moab nor do i want to buy one specifically for that.....this bridges the gap and should address a majority of needs.
If it had a higher ground clearance and skid plates, it would do everything a range rover can do. The lack of body on frame is the only thing that keeps it from being perfect if it had higher ground clearance and skid plates. The all wheel drives system is one of the best.
It’s a shame that we only get second row captain chairs here in the states. I prefer his second row bench.

that is so true, it took me awhile to find one with bench seat, good thing I did.

The paint is called Baja Storm, and in Canada it's exclusive to the Pathfinder Rock Creek; not sure about other markets.

@@ChrisB_Esq No worries whatsoever! You can also get it with a black roof for something like $250 more in Canada, and it looks excellent!
For an "off road" type vehicle I wouldn't want cloth on the seats. Its harder to clean mud, sand, and dog hair from.
I own one and I feel the ride is actually soft. I have owned a 4 runner and Jeep grand Cherokee. Rooftop rating is for moving, it goes way up for being stationary. Come on guy do your homework.

“Guy” here. Did my homework; Nissan doesn’t publish a separate static load capacity. I can only report facts, not speculation.
I put 93 because I can afford it

At this price no Kia and Hyundai can tow 6000lbs

No long term reliability out of Hyundai or Kia. I don’t see them on the road after 100,000 kms, or if they are, they are so rusted out and ragged out you can hear the ticking from the engine
