Is the 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro worth the price?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Sequoia is the largest SUV made by Toyota in the USA. This 2021 TRD Pro showcases all of the extreme off-road equipment Toyota has in their arsenal. On the outside you will see the TRD pro specific Lunar Rock paint, forged BBS wheels, Fox suspension, TRD running boards, and unique grill. On the inside there is a ton of room with 3-row seating but very dated materials and tech. Under the hood is the tried and true 5.7L V8 that pumps out 381HP & is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro worth the price?

The back window on the 4Runner rolls down as well. I just sold my 4Runner and bought the new 2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition and I miss that feature but I have found that the exhaust finds its way into the cabin when I do that...and, when I'm accessing the rear to grab stuff, I open the lift gate anyway. So, on the one hand it's nice but it really didn't provide much use for me.

Comes with a Torsen center diff in 4WL, so no binding at all when in tight turns on dry pavement, acts like an AWD system. My wife never takes it out of 4WL in the MN winters. You can push button lock the center diff, so it becomes 4x4 and should only be used off road or vey low traction conditions. Also comes standard with a 4.30 gears so it tows with ease. Also comes double wishbone suspension, only SUV with that design so it tows and handles pretty nimble for a tank.

Same here Fluffy. Purchased the 08 new when it came out and drove it 9 years (a record for me) traded it in on a 17 Yukon XL Denali and liked the Yukon, but missed the rear glass feature. 3 years later went back to Sequoia (2010 Limited). Just biding my time until late 2022 when the new sequoia will supposedly launch. If it’s anything like the Tundra, then TTV6 is the power plant ( no V8). Will probably give it some time and try to buy one after 1st year. Will definitely miss the V8 sound, but will appreciate the improved fuel/towing expected from the new power train.

Twice on two different Sequoia reviews you said that the tailgate powered down but not up on one and was not powered at all on the other… I want you to prove it. A Toyota does not make things half powered and second even on a 60k vehicle, if is not powered Toyota would not waste time and money by putting a switch in there. Do me and fans a favor and revisit these videos and show that they are not powered. Thanks.

Chevy ' 6.2 v8 gets better mileage, has more power, and reliability is just as good if not better. That's why they're scrapping the 5.7. People weren't buying it due to poor mileage. I agree though, the new turbo engine will be a disaster. Toyota/lexus is going through some rough times.

My 2008 Sequoia has 345,000 miles, however, I have replaced the engine block. Transmission shifts perfect, but for some reason, I do not have reverse. I have had three different mechanics charge me $ 600 each for a transmission solenoid, and it did not fix the problem. I now have some time oil leaks, but plan to get those fixed. I think I have replaced the radiator, but that was just because the mechanic twisted my arm that it could not be repaired. Driver's seat is worn-out and one upholstery shop quoted $ 250 to fix the seat. I think I am on original caliphers, brake rotors, muffler, catalytic-converter, etc. Probably all the light-bulbs have been replaced in the past two years. I love my SEQUOIA, but the gas mileage is 12 to 14 mpg. Ignition-coils seem to fail all the time. Disclaimer: I have not taken good care of my SEQUOIA

Joe, I believe the future of our cars will be powered by Efuels, Electricity, and Hydrogen and these 3 future main sources will be similar to how our current cars run on which are gas, hybrid, and diesel. I also believe that future cars should have games from all sorts installed (i.e super smash bros, Minecraft, Pokémon etc).
