I own one. Started with a ZL1 then, after a year, upgraded to the ZL1 1LE...both manual. I will never sell this one because no other car is made like this and, when they are done with this in a couple of more years, I am afraid we won't see anything like it ever again.

@@didiermejia780 @DIDIER MEJIA Way stiffer. You feel every little bump. Honestly, it is only better for one thing since it is made for one thing...and that is the track. The Multimatic DSSV suspension is focused on giving you the lowest track times possible (7:16 vs. 7:29 on the Nürburgring); never focused on comfort. The Magnetic Ride suspension of the ZL1 is still amazing for turns and it adjusts 1,000 times per second, so it is good for daily driving as well. It is one of the greatest suspensions in the world for someone who wants to track their car but also drive around town quite a bit. However, I chose the ZL1 1LE because it's not my daily driver and I didn't see much point in going 99 yards but not scoring the touchdown (getting a ZL1 and holding short of what I bought the car for in the first place)...so I sold my Red Hot ZL1 and bought a Hyper Metallic Blue ZL1 1LE (it's a shame they don't make my color anymore because I think it's the greatest color they made for this car). IMHO, if someone holds back on getting a ZL1 1LE because it's not comfortable for daily use, then the same logic should stop them from getting a ZL1 in the first place. Besides, I got used to it. It doesn't bother me when I'm just cruising around. This is one of the best track cars in the world (even better than the GT500) and hands down the best for the money.

I would absolutely pick the Camaro... Even if it was stock. It just looks so much better in my opinion. The mustangs are quite bubbly now adays. Still love em though. But, the Lingenfelter makes it sooo much cooler imo

I've drove em both the zl1 wasn't a 1le but still a better car. The grip and handle of the camaros blows the mustang's away even the shelby's. The shelby sounds better and is very fast very fun to drive but the ZL1 is terrifyingly fast. It blurs your side vision instantly and holds the road better. Shelby's biggest problem is the car they start with. I'd love to see what shelby could do with a camaro.

Both of them are in my opinion absolutely the best of the best from the United States of America. I would be proud and I mean proud to have either one. I've always been a Chevy guy but that Cobra is really getting a lot of respect from me. Their both winners in my book. Thanks Joe.

Same on all accounts, that camaro other then the back quarter is UGLY!.... and it a chevy so its only ugly for a while rest of the time its broke, that being said I would still have one.... just wouldn't spend my money on it lol.

Great review, as always! For me, it’s an obvious choice: ZL1 1LE any day. The lack of a manual in the GT500 is a real shame :/

That auto shifts super quick as well as response ratio. You might be a good shifter but that auto will do it a lot faster than you or I, no matter how fast we are.

Put a cam in the ZL1 you may change your mind... he revved the GT500 quite a bit higher as well... but the GT500 sounded amazing!

WOW! What a great review video! I'm partial to a manual gearbox! It would take me awhile to come down from the tremendous rush of driving them!

I don’t get into the Ford Chevy arguments, as a true gear head, I like fast cars. I have to pick the ZL1 for a couple reasons 1 the launch control doesn’t have a 1 second delay ( what was Ford doing ) 2 The GT500 is one quick ride so obviously it is pushing some G meters around and they went with a wet sump oiling system and that’s a huge “ what the beeeeep “ was Ford thinking.

When you’ve achieved this level of super muscle car badassery in this (stock) power range and price point (MSRP) you won’t go wrong with either of these machines. While my preference is ZL1 if I’m spending money I’m going GT500 🤣🤣🤣

One heck of a review, i have been a fan of you for a long long time and seeing all these emotions on both car especially when you were shifting camaro, i felt 2002 fast n furious era right smack on my face when car passion was at peak, i love it, i love both cars, i love camaro even more, if it was gt350 or gt350r, it would've been a different story, manual shifting is where the heart of car enthusiast lies..

What a great review, you can’t go wrong with either one of them, especially if it will be put to track use. But that GT500 is just a little extra special, what are the size of those stripes? My goodness they look so good I want them on my GT500. This is the first Mustang that I’ve owned, and I get chased down the freeway by teenagers wanting to check out the car, older man at the gas stations coming to give it complements, thumbs up, honks, people pulling to the side to let the car pass, she’s extra special, she’s not just a Mustang, she is The Mustang.

Even though I like dark colored cars like the Camaro, I'd still go for the COBRA, a good old muscle car back in the days.

Love that 2020 Shelby GT500 with Carbon Track Package! More of a special car than the Camaro ZL1 1LE. Dual-clutch transmission, carbon fiber wheels/wing/diffuser, 760 crank horsepower, coolers everywhere, heat extractor hood w/ removable rain tray, giant 16" brake rotors, etc...

You are a fun dude Great review. I drive an 19 GT350 but that 500 is OUTRAGEOUS keep them coming

Another great review Joe! As much as I am a huge mustang fan, I’d have to choose the camaro for the fact that it’s got a manual trans and has that great supercharger whine

I know I'm late to the party here, but I had to comment after such a great video review. I don't think it would be an easy task picking one over the other. On one hand, you have very high horsepower with an amazing exhaust note - on the other hand, you have the auto-purests street legal race car. They're both gorgeous - both ridiculously fast. But, if I had to choose... I'm going with the most bang for the buck - the one that can do it all. The ZL1-1LE.

@@guyontheinternet8891 that's nice, its my personal preference, lighter cars handle better, i cant stand how the new vettes are gaining weight also, if the new Nissan z cars have aleast 400hp and weight less than 3400lbs with a manual, i may go back to Nissan and dump my zl1.

The GT500 CFTP weighs 4,056lbs just a little over 4,000lbs. Not bad. It's still a beast around the corners and in the quarter mile doing 10.6.

The GT500 wing has 500lbs of downforce and handles amazingly. It was milliseconds behind GT3 RS on a track done by randy posbt.

The 6 coolers and dual clutch transmission adds extra weight.
