Great video guys. My thoughts on aero/leech are they need a rework. I played hundreds of games in infinite this week and 99% of games I see an aero or leech come out they are way overused in high rank. I really prefer a match where 2 players dish out theyr best combo in the 50-100 power range and see who wins rather then who plays aero or leech and retreats the other retreat first. Leader got nerfed because people felt cheated by opponent who did a 0 IQ play and won. Leech feels the same. Aero is not as annoying as leech in that regard. When spend time and time figuring the most convoluted strategy and 5 card in hand ready to burst out a crazy smart play and boom 1 card ruins your whole deck feels terrible. Cosmo had to be there for Wong who would go nuts I understand that. But leech is sole purpose is making people retreat is so frustrating. He forces retreat on 90% of decks red skull destroyer infinaut being the exception but if u don't run these 3 card it's insta retreat it's so annoying.

You get 4500 credits a week just from the weekly missions and weekly boxes. By the time you get to 1700 you'll guaranteed have half of the pool 3 cards. Personally get on average 2-3 collector caches per day, and a new card every 1.5 days. I'm at collection level 2100 with 53 of the 84 pool 3 cards, and I started playing on January 1st 🚩Educated Collins is not pool 3 complete! The people complaining about not having every card with every combo and claiming every archetype is overpowered do not represent a good opinion of how the game should be going forward. I really hope you see this comment

Also, a lot is said about Super Skrull, and he's one of my 3 pool 4 cards. Super Skrull works because you are matched up with players using similar decks to yours pretty often. If you're running an Ongoing/Destroyer/Spectrum/Ultron deck or what have you, throw in Super skrull and you'd be surprised how often you get Klaw, Iron Man, Blue Marvel, Patriot, etc etc etc added to your board. It's also an incredible cube winner against people playing Hazmat and Luke cage because they never see that coming

I guess I’m too casual, or too casual of a player. I play every day, complete my missions and buy the season pass, never reach infinite, I only go for my rank 60 variant and I’m done. Anyway, I find that I don’t resonate with the community on this one. Of course I want thanos, it’d be sweet and all- but I know myself well enough that if they gave me everything I wanted, I’d walk away from the game. I’m only 1700 on the track, so I’m missing plenty of key cards, but I still get plenty of enjoyment out of the game. The other day I pulled shuri! I was so excited, but that wouldn’t happen if they give me the ability to buy or rent the best cards in the game. Looking for venom and wave in the shop so I can fill out a destroy deck or an alternate card for my electro-ramp gives me something to strive for. Anyway, I can see how this represents a problem to some, but I worry that if done wrong, it’ll lose the magic of the rarest cards feeling rare.

COMPLETELY AGREE with the visual upgrades, collectors cache should always be something card related. Random card upgrade, variant, new card, limited edition frame, effect when you play the card. Something that makes you want to use the cards you already have. I play for collection and upgrades, which feels rough when the collectors cache aren't really that rewarding.

@@XXSittinsidewaysxX they have tons of facilitators reading comments on KZread on high vues about the game they will change the stuff people ask for the most but only in a way they believe they will make more bang for buck. That's what drive most game/companies we can only hope it's a win/win situation like they started testing cheaper bundles to see if they do make more money with cheaper bundle they with expensive one they will keep going down that path. Game will be in a floating stage of back in forth for 6-18 month of testing the price range for stuff/rate of acquiring new cards.

I understand the player frustration, but misdirected anger at you guys for showing and playing new cards is BS. good episode!

Also that everybody got all the cards, at least in my área I face against thanos with galactus with kang all in the same deck...and sometimes sometimes a shuri or a lockjaw.. but 99% is against the big bad ones. I use hazmat for fun. Cheers from México

I like the Test Drive idea so people can try cards. How about they take a page out of League of Legends and do weekly rotating cards you can try out? They keep cycling and you eventually get to try out all the cards.

Love the game, I’ve embraced the grind as a new player but I don’t love the grind and the fatigue is real. Pushing my collection level feels necessary but feels equally punishing. I was excited to get over 1k collection level and so far I’ve mainly unlocked some of the less than stellar variants and 100 tokens… so now I can face tougher opponents with some flashy new avatars and catch phrases… yay!

cozy’s chill nature is always a nice reminder to calm down about this game 😂

These podcasts are my favorite Snap content! Y'all are spot on about the card acquisition. 2 months in, I'm ~1200 collection level, and seeing new cards feels like I'm just a class below and unable to participate. I get needing to level up and complete pool 3, but 1 new pool 3 per month, 2 pool 4 cards, and 1 pool 5 with a big bad every 3-4 months is a easy ti implement step in the right direction. It doesn't solve the issue, but it reduces the barrier for entry for the game from 6 to a couple of months.

Wow, I didn't realize the devs play as a consumer. That actually gives a me a ton of respect for them. Would love to care about the new cards, and I love a lot of the suggestions you guys brough up. I hope the Devs take a look at this!

Awesome advice for the F2P players! I've been on some forums and chatting with some people trying to figure out how run the collection track gauntlet. Currently on 1k collection score just need she-hulk for that awesome baero deck. Thanks for making our Fridays awesome as always!

Regarding the terrible pixel variants, I almost opened up a full pixel movement deck. I'm close enough to buy the last few variants if they appear in the shop just for the memes.

Don't usually come to the Alex side of the snap chat but glad I did today. Very good discussion on the progression track.

The solution to leech and Aero are turns 1-4. So many decks want to only play 5&6, and those counters (like leader) are very strong counters to people who aren't playing tempo. (Leech's other issue is lockjaw and thanos. Being able to cheat him out early is something Cozy minimized, but is a giant issue too. Leech on curve is fine)

Leech into retreat is my favorite combo

What needs to happen is to have anything that is not card related, so avatars and titles, to be its own item on the track, and for those items to be removed from the caches. Getting those two things is just as bad as getting boosters off of the caches. SD is literally scamming the players.

About the Collection level i absolutely agree, I'm 4k CL and I have so little variants! So many cards I could be playing only if I had a decent variant for them.. This is something they should do, increase the % of variant drop and lower the titles and avatars, because there's so many variants coming out each month it's crazy how much we're missing out!

@@oddjr Same here, I don't care about having 6 Mantis cards. There should be either option to pick variant or basic cards in the menu. Once I have 95% of the cards and could afford to collect tokens to buy the remaining 15 cards, I wouldn't mind about variants. About avatars and titles, we all use them because we have them, but given the option, I'm pretty sure most of the players will play like me with no title and "special" avatar.

My first pool 3 unlock was Mr Negative and since then has been my favorite archetype and always try to make it work. This are the good things that this system gives you.

How i built My favorite deck out of pool 3 for a while is i took a spectrum destroyer deck. But i didn't have destroyer. I played redskull, traded out a few things that made more sence with him, and bamn its a completely different deck. I feel this is in the spirit of the game. However card acquisition will get me to play more meta focused as i continue to play and get better cards. And if I'm not the only one, things will continue in its own power creep way. Different game modes might really help.

@@Atariese Definitely card acquisition is a problem. Specifically for new cards that I prefer them to be band instead of good one I will never play. But having unique decks is more important in this game than any other card game I play. Surprise cards that nobody expects on certain deck is what gives you the cubes.

I used high roller thor lockjaw for my first 2 infinities. This deck was slept on/forgot about as all the other big fancy cards were coming out. I fought hard for those first 2 infinites and this season was done on day 2 with Shuri. Unlocked Thanos 2 weeks ago and got to 120 in a few days of doing bounties. Thanks for another great episode!

I remember when I started playing league of legends and I only had a few champions. I was so excited to play every week with the new rotation of champions and try everything, and then if I loved a certain champion I used to save RP and buy It. Why don't they put a weekly or daily or whatever rotation of cards? Like look, shadowking is free today, lets try what can I do with him and surprise people

I for one would love to see more series 4 and 5 decks vids, been series 3 complete for 2 months now and seeing the newer cards lets me know what I should spend my tokens on

This was one of the better chats you two have done. I'll say once again tho in regards to the duration to Keep Going. There's plenty of other channels that do hot takes, but you guys are prolly in your own lane as a duo. On the visual upgrade/item for unlock, i remember one of the content creators mentioning different battlegrounds or main menu themes as unlocks.

I also feel as though if they gave us 3 missions every time it usually gives us 2 would help massively for new and existing players and the 50 credits on the collection level track has to stop when you start pool 3 /when the token shop opens, 100 credits would feel more right. but back to the 3 missions easy medium and hard every time it resets giving 50 credits, 100credits and 150 credits.

It’s would be nice to be able to prioritize certain cards that you don’t have so that they take priority on your next T3, T4, T5 card pull. Or at least group cards into what you want right away and what you’re willing to wait on.

This might be the most insightful one yet love this series. I don't wanna be annoying but can we get Snap Drafts back with you and Cozy?

There were some mockups on Reddit that someone made to have titles and avatars have a bigger impact on your name in game. Looked pretty good and I hope they implement something like that.

I would love to see the season pass card become a choice between like three card options. You get one, the other two go to Series 4 so you can get those with tokens if you want. This would also keep the week 1 meta of each season a little fresher since you wouldn't have so many decks either featuring or countering the one season pass card.

A little off topics, I would love to see a QOL change that would allow players to tap on a card then tap so that we could see all the variants for that character. And we could buy the variants we want.

Whats funny about you talking about the mystery variant bundle is that i bought it and I DID get Pixel Hellcow. Those udders haunt my dreams

I think what would be nice with the collection track would be just a little more control over what you unlock. Player control over what cards you unlock would be great.

I am F2P and make sure to hit all of my dailies, weeklies, etc. I believe I have been playing for ~45 days and passed collection level 1000 today. I don't have enough of pool 3 to make lots of the decks (and can't get much above rank 70, so no free 500 gold for me atm), but am saving my tokens for Thanos (made bad decisions with some tokens and gold prior to watching both of your channels). The grind is not easy, but these games are always a long haul, you just have to have the patience for them.

@@sheldor8909 yeah you do, and then even then, you have to pull those exact cards in an exact order, or you lose every game you don’t. Not worth the tokens at all.

I think it would be fun for the token shop to display 3 options instead of 1. I know it wouldn't fix everything but you wouldn't have to wait a month for a card you want to be in your shop. You could also pin one card and have other 2 keep refreshing

Just commenting to say that I'm glad to see your channel is doing well with the Marvel Snap coverage. You had a few great DOTA2 videos that taught me a lot a few years ago, straight to the point and very useful, but obviously DOTA is a very saturated market. Glad to see snap is working well for you!

I really don't understand people getting angry over videos of new cards. I really enjoy it: I'm able to see cards, how they work, and if it's something I want to save up for or not. There's so many good decks that don't need the new cards, I think it's just silly for people to be mad about interesting content, just because they themselves can't get it immediately.

The rental option is great, actually. I got lucky and got Galactus at CL1498, so the infinite climb was much easier for me as f2p (except for battle passes.) But given how RNG heavy this game is, not everyone will be lucky in their pulls, which can cause a ton of burnout because they may not he having fun.

Im rank 56 atm and you regularly see Thanos decks now. I can alternate between Devil Dino, Deathwave and Patriot decks so I've got a lot of 'meta' decks to alternate between but shrewd Token shop acquisitions and Token bundles helped me build the Deathwave and Patriot decks. I'm at collection level 2500+ and have a funny feeling I'll be Pool 3 complete and then missing a lot of essential Pool 4/5 cards

People should be more comfortable allowing the collection adventure guide their decks and playstyles. I got Mr. Negative as one of my first cards, and I strictly used that until I had a broader collection, and it was fantastic anyways. KM Best and others have also made videos saying there are NO EXCUSES for being bad at the game when they can use your pool 1 or pool 2 cards to play at the highest levels

I can understand the frustration of the card acquisition but you guys should be able to upload what ever you want and don’t feel bad about it is not you guys fault for me is fun to watch something even if it’s a card I don’t have because it give me something to look forward.

I just got to pool 3 and it has been an experience. On one hand I got baron mordo and drax as my first pool 3 cards, and on the other, I already have electro, sera and wave. Can't wait to get a pool 4 or 5 card and for it to be horrible.

Many will just quite. They should add on the collection tree markers where you for sure get a new card. And a setting where you can disable getting pixel variants or option that you can delete that trash.

Hey guys, never commented but always love the content! I have to say, i’ve been playing since launch and am pool 3 complete, but it honestly just feels really bad this season. Much worse than the Surfer/Zabu meta in my opinion. I actually backed off playing a lot because of not having Shuri or Thanos and I kept getting matched with Infinite players at Rank 40. I just think both the card acquisition system and matchmaking are really poor and it’s making me want to quit the game despite loving many aspects of it. I will say you guys content is always a great watch even if I don’t have the cards! All the best.

Man Cozy hit the nail on the head. I got Thanos and dropped so many cubes trying to figure him out. Cards aren't the magical end all be all. In fact I climb better with stuff that isn't the best. It's because I climb with what I'm good at. It's 80% skill. I get beat by Klaw 9 times out of 10 when I see him. New cards, best cards, none of that matters. Are there cards that are broken? I mean, again it's more skill than it is what cards you're playing. I loved this talk and hope Second Dinner got around to listening, too.

Im climbing a lot (omega) with a dino-mistique deck just cos i have fun with it, i think everyone has their playstyle. The important thing is to have fun above all.

I feel as though others pull tons of variants from season and collection caches. I have pulled I believe 1 from season caches I'm the last 2 months. And maybe one or 2 in the cl in like 1000 plus levels.

I got Dan Hipp Onslaught variant with the bundle - that was nice 🎉

I think these new, updated FTP tips are very valuable. Here is one more. Be patient and re-evaluate the reason you play. If you are FTP, you're not going to compete with Meta decks, so focus on having fun, collecting your favorite cards, and when you finally get the combo cards you need to create a new deck, learn a new deck. If you try to create 3-4 different decks at the same time, all of them will suffer. Also, they need to thin out Series 3 a lot. There are nearly 90 cards in series 3 and at least 25-30 of them should be dropped into series 1 or 2. (I'm not going to list them, but don't tell me Black Cat and Dagger are on the same level as Aero or Death or Dr. Doom)

A huge issue is that these new powerhouse cards (like Kang) cost 6000 tokens which is extremely difficult to acquire for free-to-play or low spenders. This is mostly problematic now that there are token bundles, allowing whales to buy powerful cards that majority of players won't have access to. Unfortunately, when losing to these new overpowered cards it won't feel exciting but rather unfair as the player won't feel on an even playing field with the whale. This was less problematic in the earlier phases, but as more pool 4 and 5 cards are released the game becomes more pay-to-win over time. I agree on many of the points made in this video, and I'm confident they're aware of the issue. I do genuinely hope they're able to find and execute a solution (that makes players happy and doesn't damage their profits).

I expected the mystery variant bundle to be the same as mystery variant you get from season pass which is limited to 700 variants as well..I'm surprised so many people thought otherwise

I bought it (got Apocalypse pixel) but I bought it for the credits mostly. I upgraded the new card and got Electro from the new box on CL, so it evened out for me.

Can we also talk about the Season Pass Caches past 50? I feel like its ALL boosters. Between that and the Collectors' Cache there are too many boosters.

I got vibranium iron man in my mystery bundle. Pretty cool looking.👍

Good vide as always, i enjoy this show a lot, the new frames and cosmetics i think they will come with the PC variant, way more easy to be optimize tho, until then i hope they do smth with new card releases and token sistem.

Spot on with the card acquisition. I’ve never had a chance to get a Thanos or a Galactus yet, and whenever I see a turn one Reality Stone drop, it’s an instant retreat. There’s no way I can beat that deck with the holes in my collection.

The thing that beta players don't get is how slow the token acquisition is for players still in pool 3. I'm almost pool 3 complete and been playing every day since global release and naturally acquired 3500 tokens on the collection track total (excluding the gift and bundles) since the token system was rolled out. So it's really not realistic to save for 6k big bads. Even 3k monsters like shuri you can't really save for because by the time you save up they are dropped or nerfed.

I got a sports Multiple Man in the variant bundle. I dig it.

I'd really like to see card acquisition modified a bit. Keep the token shop and keep the same costs, slightly increase token gains, make cards "craftable" for like 20%(or whatever) more than the token shop. Keep new releases to token shop and caches etc. That way The grind doesn't feel like such a casino. Maybe even Keep pool 5 to token shop only etc. Just a thought

I think they should implement a draft system similar to Magic The Gathering. They should have a draft event that resets every expansion, which allows players to pay gold or tokens to enter. Once they enter they will be given a random series 4 or 5 card, then they will have a pool of cards randomly assigned to their draft collection, which can include cards that they do not own. This collection is used to make the rest of their deck for the event. For clarification, they only keep the series 4 or 5 card they got, they do not keep any of the other cards that are assigned to their draft collection. This game mode would allow players to get the cards they want in a controlled manner that would allow players to feel like they are progressing, and they get to play with other cards they may not own yet.

Coming from an MTG background where limited is my preferred format I like the slow card acquisition; it makes the game more restrictive which allows for creativity. This may hold the game back from being a competitive esport, but limited fans like me are enjoying it.

Perhaps they could have a tree system where you pick a theme (discard/destroy/move/etc) and get cards from that tree only until you get them all from that series or change it

I actually like the Card Collection track. And I’m series 3 compete. You don’t have to have everything. Tokens great addition because you pick what you want.

heres a fix I thought of that would keep the card economy nearly the same but make everyone excited for new cards design a new section in the store for upcoming cards where you only see the silhouette and a countdown till they are available then in the premium battlepass at like lvl 25 add a single season card token that lets you get one of the new cards per season boom suddenly everyones theory crafting, looking up content, excited for new cards every week, and happy with the value on a battlepass purchase

Honestly, the issue with the collection path isn’t the cache. They should make remove titles and avatars and make it cards/variants/tokens only. Put the avatars in a character cache with boosters and have both caches give some credits with a chance at a title as a bonus.

I'm at CL 4,211 and haven't unlocked a new card in 529 levels - the last card I unlocked was Maria Hill, and I'll absolutely never use it. I can live with not having the latest and greatest pool 5 cards right off the bat, but it is absolutely ridiculous that I've progressed through that many levels and am still missing most of the pool 4 cards from my collection. When you throw in stuff like "token Tuesday" into the mix, the whole thing starts feeling pretty scummy when my choices are either a) try and grind through the slow drip of token unlocks to save up or b) open up my wallet.

You're playing Solitare now lol I felt that.

The slow drip is my favorite part of the game. If everybody can get everything right away, games end up with a stagnant meta with everybody only playing the top cards. Forced creativity is literally why I'm here.

Sure and this conveniently helps them getting money from Whales... And all the people with strong rare cards get free cubes while all the others don't make the meta stagnant because they're forced to play with garbage decks. If you think most people will play this game for long at this current state you're dead wrong.

If you’re poor and can’t afford it. Play free to play cause you’re a free loader. If you pay then you should get premium stuff. This is the most free to play card game out there lol :) Can’t believe people like Mario Exists in this world… go inside a restaurant and expect steak dinner for free 😂 I agree that card acquisition is slow and they should improve the cache but F2P people shouldn’t complain :)

@Timothy Yap bro shut up, Runeterra card acquisition is much better. I'm tired of card games that dont want to give you cards unless you spend hundreds of dollars. Most of the players base is mad because it's borderline pay to win. Yeah people that paid have played with zabu and surfer when they were op. As soon as everyone can play them they're suddenly a problem and get nerfed. Yeah bro I'm not stupid, I even paid premium to get Zabu but I see what they're doing, and it's clear this game cannot be taken seriously.

The deck I win with the most is just a simple Ongoing deck. I don't think there are any Pool 3 cards in it, but it's both fun and rarely loses. Iron Man + Onslaught alone is usually a lane winner.

I think a cool suggestion would be to have an unranked mode where you have your unlocked cards here, but what this mode also offers is a rotation of free cards that are unlocked for the week. It could already be cards you own but let's just say there are 10 free cards this week where everyone can use as long as they play in this unranked mode. The weekly rotation should be random and provide no duplicates I would say week by week meaning all 10 free cards available in week 1 won't be in the rotation for week 2, but it would be possible to see a card duplicate from week 1 when week 3 starts. The free 10 cards to use would be rotated weekly and there could be cards you don't own that you can try out. Again this mode would benefit I think almost everyone since multiple new cards are being released monthly. The perks here is it gives players a chance to try cards they don't have and it gives them the option to pin it into their token shop if they like the card. Plus since the mode is unranked the matches won't hurt your rank. This gives players an easier and relaxed mode to play new cards and try new things with decks without being punished. I could also suggest if you are using a card in the weekly rotation that you do not own you just won't get boosters for that card but you can still obtain boosters for other cards that you own in your deck. Just a suggestion that would help with all the complaints people are having. I would also suggest when a new card is released it will be available to use the 1st or 2nd week it was released in the free rotation. And on one of those days throughout the week it is available it would pop up in the token shop incase anyone tried the card and liked it. This would then give devs the option to release cards into certain pools to make them affordable for their value. As some cards are not as good as others they shouldn't be in series 5 just because they're new. For the season pass cards I think maybe they could release the card for the first like 3 days the season pass starts into the unranked mode. If people like it then they buy the season pass if not then it's okay. This would probably hurt season pass revenue but I mean I feel like people who buy the season pass are already invested that they will pretty much buy it for the perks. I am a free to play player and not being able to play new cards that are released sucks but I'm still trying to collect pool 3 cards anyway so the fun for the game is all still there lol I ain't complaining too much as I love the game a lot and just want to see marvel snap be here for a long time.

I'm not overly upset about card acquisition at present but I am somewhat concerned about how things will look in the long run as the months go by, more and more cards come out and Pool 3 gets bigger and bigger and finishing it takes longer and longer. As time goes by eventually something will have to be done to help new and returning players catch up to a expanding card library.

I bought 4 cards death, wave, daredevil, patriot but I don't play ethier of them now! But it helped finishing pool 3 fast

Also an Issue. I also got Ghost and Stature, yet I dont know what to do with them and bc noone does content on them, I feel like I had a bad draw. Than when they'll drop they might be the best card in the world. I just didn't knew how to play with them so I feel bad once more. Happened with She-Hulk. When I first got her, I was like... 10 power... that's weak. Rather play Leader on 6 and be fine. Now she's an S Tier card.

I finished series 3 this week. Have been playing since middle of October, F2P.

17:50 yes i went from 1400 tokens to 4800 tokens with just gold i had saved up got the deadpool bundle and the two token bundles all with free gold

I wish the rewards for daily and the ladder ect should be more rewarding. Boosted. The every boosters from the collection should be every other with tokens for the other spots. So Tokens, Boosters, credits, and then collection creates

I like the idea of test driving. The problem is that there are varients mixed into the token shop. They should remove (or split out) the varient rotation. After that, remove the pin option. Stay with me here. If they remove the pin, then they can introduce an unlimited test drive option. For the 8 hours the card is in the shop you can use it. Similar to how like league of legends has the free hero rotation.

i'm 5 cards away from series 3 complete. from here on out i'm just saving my tokens for one of the series 5 baddies. but yes i think not having an unranked mode and changing how new cards are put into the game are the two biggest needs for this awesome game.

I see so many takes on Thanos/Lockjaw and no one really says what I feel is the biggest (not the only one though) reason why it's broken. It's the Space Stone. Lockjaw is not only high roll but it limits you to a single lane for the most part (sans Doom, odd Cloak play etc). Space stone allows you to continually move cards to other lanes after bringing in high power spikes. Once that is gone you'll see the power level go down dramatically in my opinion.

I feel the biggest problem is that there is no catch-up mechanic. It's slow enough if you're playing casually, but imagine a new player wants to pick up the game. They have to start all the way at the beginning without any help in matching established players. Lower collection scores should really be pushed further if they are so far behind the majority of the playerbase.

Im someone that has played since launch and now i am finally approaching series 3 complete and it feels bad it took this long since i only have the time to play a hand full of hours a week and it would probably take me longer if i didnt spend money on bundles with tokens in it, it makes it impossible to get new released cards since i can only get 100 tokens in a reserve and when a series drop happens its cool but i actually dread it because it sets me back as well i can only imagine for someone that starts playing when there are over a hundred cards in series 3 and not only would it be hard to complete it but be much harder to target cards you want at that point

I think they could have different shops for each tier, and instead of just collectors currency you would get some for all the shops.

I dont think the problem isnslow acquisition. The problem isnyouve no choice in the cards you get. If you're pulling cards with no synergy. I recently got darkhawk and have gone from winning maybe 50% of games to climbing 20 ranks in 3 days. Before that I would be matching up against "meta " decks when i was missing 2 or 3 core cards in basically every deck.
