Currently their channels are snowballing with the popularity boom of Snap, wouldn’t be wise to stop the momentum. As an existing supporter, sure we understand if you are sick, but they will loose out on new viewers.

I think the biggest thing to keeping new players is not to queue people with a huge disparity in collection levels. I know I got queued with people over 1000 collection level when I was around 600 because I saw people with titles that was gotten from Collector's Reserves. It's just not fun when you're using a makeshift Pool 3 deck and you're getting queued against people with completely built meta decks or almost complete decks. I was losing so many cubes from constantly retreating that it was pointless to grind ranks. I just turtled up and played enough games to finish missions every 8 hours.

My first token shop regret was actually Mystique. At the time of buying it, all I could really use it with was my Zola-Dino deck, but Zola kinda covers the field much better than Mystique. I found myself not using Mystique until I unlocked Wong. The Wong - Mystique combo on the same location gives way for some crazy boosts from IronHeart :)

I'm actually really glad that you went on the show Even though you're not feeling well. You guys make a great team and it's never the same with just one person. Plus as a former content creator I know it's way too easy to take a day off. Then it always makes it easier to take another day off. Way to be a trooper! Keep up the awesome work!

I'm enjoying token shop I've gotten a cpl cards that I've been using and have quite a bit of fun using, I have Deadpool pinned right now in my shop I need 700 more tokens, was excited to see him pop in as the destroy deck is my favorite. Move is a lot of fun as well. I recently slotted aero in to one of my decks can't remember either my move or destroy, been working quite well. I just need to be better are guessing where opponent plays. Thanks for you work on the game guys great content both Alex and Cozy.🤙🤙

I think for the new battle modes they can do just like in Master duel in example: Master duel has a 1-2 weeks special game events/modes were you only play a certain type of cards, the devs in Marvel Snap can do the same in example, there could be a mode were you can only play on reveal cards and a mode were you can play only 1 cost cards.

I bought Agent Coulson day 1...it was the first pool 4 card and I didn't realize how slow collection gathering was. I could have gotten Venom, Patriot, and Collen Wing that all showed up since.

I’m collection level 5300 and only missing M’Baku, Super Skrull, Bast, Shuri, Darkhawk, + Sentry. I’m with Alex, I actually regret paying full price for all of the series 4/5 cards. The only ones I get consistent use out of are She-Hulk, and somewhat Knull, the rest weren’t worth emptying my tokens on (some came on collection track). It’s a testament to not needing these cards to compete, they’re not inherently “better” than series 2 / 3 cards, they’re a luxury to get to experiment with early. Just buy the monthly pass to get a great build around card, and focus on finishing pool 3 people. Once you finish pool 3, you will earn enough tokens to pick up one of the new cards each month and that’s all you really need. I’m going to be saving my tokens for a while now until things drop series, go through nerfs (no refunds), and the meta gets more defined. I know the FOMO is strong folks, but you’re not missing much. Happy snapping 😄

It is truly sad that we all are going through the same thing once we hit a certain point in the game. I am in the thousands and know how hard it is to get a new card if you don't buy them from the token shop. I had knull too and didn't pin or buy it and I would love to play with. Helicarrier was my first buy for 6 grand and I use it in my discard deck(the deck I have the most fun play and play the most). I did recently bought Magik, because I have she-hulk, sun spot, and infinite. I don't have any regrets as far as buying but not pinning is my regret.

I no longer have Morales in my move deck. I now use Aero, Captain Marvel, Heimdall, and America as my bigs. I found good utitly with him in earlier versions of it, but he eventually got phased out. Same with White Queen. Loved her for all of the reasons you mentioned. Alas she eventually had to go as well. Still love my move deck. It's still a beast. Just not good for cubes, because the opponent can see you steadily building power, and usually will retreat.

Token shop purchases should cap out at like 2-2.5k tokens because of how difficult it is to accumulate them, even if you whale. 6k for 1 card is absolute insanity

Have only bought a few so far and don't regret any of them. New cards come too slowly in pool 3, so it's nice to be able to get a wanted card now and then. My only issue is I think the currency to buy new cards is a bit too scarce right now.

One thing that is getting me excited is the Cube/Snap aspect of the game in eSports. Imagine if the winner would be, not the one who has won the game or a series of games, but the player who has collected 20 Cubes or any other amount first? Imagine the mind game, the risky plays, the bluffs. Really exciting.

I feel like a cool new competitive mode would be not competing for cubes, but for locations, and so as you win games you claim those locations, maybe from a set pool for that season, but if you lose a location that you had won before, even if you won the match, you lose points or something. Idk exactly how it would work, just came to mind, but something focusing on the different locations and claiming territory sounds cool.

Tournaments and the PC UI is my most anticipated features by far!! Season caches rewards competes with Overwatch 2 as the worst rewards in gaming. I hate them, I hate to get freaking boosters again and again. They can so easily adjust that it's crazy that it will take 2-3 seasons having these atrocious rewards before they change it. Another awesome show guys, congrats on your success with the podcast, well deserved!

Hey what about a try before you buy on the token shop -- for example with Shuri, you can rent the card for 10 games within the 8 hours and decide if you like it or not. IT also gives people who are F2P almost like a free rotating big card that they can try out and perhaps save for etc

20:35 Warmachine, by privateer press has a really really interesting limiting system for side decks that I think could be interesting for SNAP. Basically there are list building guidelines that apply to an army, you can’t have 2 of the same characters in the same list and only so many units of a particular type. But in tournament play, you have three lists, 5 games and those limits all apply to all 3 lists AND you have to play each army at least once. So, if SNAP followed that ethos, you would have three decks that can’t copy cards, 3 decks and if you play Baero for the first game, you would have to weigh whether you wanted to play it each round after or save it for later? By round four you get a breather because you can play to your preferences, but it can’t be a repeat in round five (unless you already bricked a list in the first three rounds which most people don’t do). It made for really competitive team matches too, but SNAP doesn’t have factions… yet…

I would love like an auto deck battle made. Each person gets random decks at the beginning and it tests your overall card knowledge

Got some really nice pulls when the update released, lowering the burden on pool 3 cards. Ended up buying Spiderman, Mystique, and Sera from the shop. Didn't regret the latter two. Multiple uses, and I'm using them both in my main deck atm. Dont use spiderman much, but hes Spiderman. Hes actually been my favorite superhero since childhood. I saved up some tokens, and I thought lockjaw would be good. Bought him. Tried him. Was underwhelmed with the playstyle, at least for now. Also as soon as I bought him I just knew Wong would show up next, when I was out of tokens. Sure enough out comes Wong, so I pinned him. Needed him to finish my Surfer Citedel deck. I was still 700 tokens short when winter wonderland dropped. Cashed in all my credits trying to pull him first. Had no luck so I bought him. Next on the list is Psylock, as a flex pick, to fill my final spot.

Drink every time Cozy calls Knull a knoll, Shuri a Sherry or Aero an Arrow

nothing feels worse in the token shop then my token shop refreshing to a series 4 or 5 card when im trying to target some series 3 cards.

I bought black cat and I've been super happy because I'm running Dracula America Chavez and apocalypse with morbius and she keeps my hand small and my damage high.

i'd love a mode where you and your opponent have to create their deck while the other person watches so you have to try and out-counter them before it's even started and the locations would also be known before the game starts(they can still technically reveal normally). I'd just like a mode that takes away some of the randomness which I know is a lot of the fun but I think this way would be fun too.

I got 7000 when the token shop came in and I underestimated the prices and dropped tokens on every tier 3 that popped up, snagging up Brood, Destroyer, Death and a few others.. I dropped down to 2k then when a tier 4 finally came in at 4k.. I was gobsmacked. I instantly regretted just being trigger happy with the tokens. Now I gotta slow grind and I'm only back at 1700 now after dropping that last 1000 for Magneto.

Great episode guys. Cheers to Alex for pushing through the sickness. Interesting questions for you guys, do you think they have kind of abandoned the move archetype? Because there has been no move card printed post pool 3 (unless you consider the space stone lol). Id really like to see some more love put into that archetype instead of just boosting the already good ones.

Bought Wong as soon as I saw him because well...its Wong! He is a core in so many decks! But everyone and their mother are running Cosmo and sometimes I even see Goose! So I havent used him ONCE!

I have no regrets with my token shop offerings. I filled out my pool 3 cards that I really wanted and skipped any pool 4-5 cards that showed up. I am happy with my pool 3 cards so I currently have she-hulk pinned but my first 5 purchases were wasp, and debris to fill out my patriot list, death for death/wave, the hood for destroy packages, and magik for those sweet ramp plays. The token system should be used exclusively on pool 3 cards if you don't already have them.

While I feel the initial hype around token shop was amazing, I think the tokens on your collection track and too few and far between to make it exciting after you spend the initial 3 or 6k tokens for the most of us. Wish they came in randomly from 100-400 to allow you to highroll. Also would be nice to not feel so bad unlocking a series 4/5 card with an incomplete series 3 collection. Almost jumped on she-hulk or absorbing man, but couldn't justify it as it made more sense to get 3 crucial series 3 cards first.

The main card I would say almost anyone should pick up in the Token Shop is She-Hulk. She was my very first purchase, and she was worth every collector’s token. I’ve climbed from season rank 52 to 71 since adding her to my decks. 3000 tokens really feels like a steal for her

I am SUPER excited for the in concept “In Game Events” so many people are skipping over this one but nobody is talking about how cool it could be! Imagine how hearthstone is where they have story bosses with themed decks and special cards, you could construct cool stories with the marvel universe and introduce new cards!! :)

I just got to tier 3 for the first time yesterday, the first card in my token shop was M'Baku! LOL, I didn't get him, but the very next card was Daredevil and I grabbed him immediately.

My first draw was Leader and the next day i got Daredevil in token shop. One of the best card ever.

Overall I feel that I cleaned house with my token shop picks: Aero, Magneto, Destroyer, Death, Mystique, Beast and Mr. Negative. If I had to say any regret would be negative as I don't have enough cards to fulfill his deck very well (no silver surfer, no psylocke, no bast, etc.). All others I needed to fill complete decks so they were perfect. Fairly happy with picks (took like 3 weeks to find mystique but all others were within first 1.5 weeks)

Love the podcast and the rest of the content. Since this is the second week in a row you’ve said Nicolas Cage, I did want to mention it. Lol The card you’re talking about is Luke Cage. Nicolas is the actor and Nick Fury is a totally different card that I think you’re taking about every time you say that until I realize he makes no sense in what you’re talking about. 😂

Alex you hit the nail on the head! I have 7000 tokens and Bast pinned but I can’t pull the trigger because I reached infinite without it and Idk what’s coming out next. And my CL is 2000 so I won’t have tokens for MONTHS.

I have gotten shuri and absorbing man on collectors tokens, all those tokens came for the free ones when they first came out and the winter bundle. Other then that I only got series 3 cards with the tokens, and even still I think I bought 2 of them that way. Now series three complete, and missing two series 4, almost up to 6000 tokens again for my next series 6. I have no regrets because while I was getting stuff I was still in series 3. Now that I am out I might start getting buyers remorse

I regret buying Patriot. There are some cards to make it truly work that I didn't realize I was really missing, thinking I could make it work with the original pack, and while that's fine it's not nearly as efficient if I don't have stuff like Ultron, Dr Doom and Sera. On the other hand I've been enjoying the 2-power Cerebro style and is without a doubt the best token purchases I've made.

Surely draft for new competitive modes? Well not surely, but in the realm of card games that seems like it would be such an easy and MASSIVE implementation that would appeal to so many.

Alex you might start enjoying super skrul with Knoll coming out. Knoll is ongoing and you will get that power. Hope you feel better as well love the snap chat and keep up the awesome work you two.

Biggest token shop regret, was waiting for galactus for 2-3 weeks. Started getting impatient, and seen a cool video about a cerebro-valkyrie deck and seen that she was in the shop that day (she’s b-tier at best). Decided to buy her and came to the conclusion that she’s very inconsistent about 10-20 games in with her. Very next shop cycle galactus shows up and he’s been pinned ever since😢

I bought fun cards, Venom, Deadpool, Thor, and lastly Aero. Extremely blessed on pulls with Death, She-Hulk, Lady-Thor, and just got Wave. No remorse but almost bought Sera, Daredevil, and Beast, held out until Aero!

Do you consider Ultron/Dr Doom as good value or is it just the power of the card itself that's considered?

They should have some system where you can like, love and favourite the variants you see in the shop. Artist who made them so you can see more of that artists work. Promoting in the shop if it still going to stick around. IMO

biggest for me would be passing collector, i was like "well I still have quite a bit of pool 3 there's probably better stuff and I might get him soon" did not get him soon, I still haven't

Cards With Huge Value : I love playing Black Bolt. And I know I know I know, it's included on a lot of "F Tier List". But, at 5/8, it is great raw power but COMBINED with the destruction component, I often get rid of Death, Deadpool, 0-Sabretooth, Demon. If you can get rid of Death, Black Bolt becomes a 5/20. I think he is underrated. I enjoy him a lot :)

Kinda not how that works but yeah almost! Just think about this. JJ is a 4/8 Crossbones is a 4/8 Warpath is potential 4/9 Namor is 4/10 (with downsides tho) All of those are 4 cost cards. Playing blackbolt is almost like playing JJ with one more cost without the downside, or 5 cost crossbones without downside. I think where people find blackbolts low value is the other 5 cost cards that just offer more value

I have Shuri pinned right now and only 1100 tokens to my name. If she goes down to Series 4 while I have her pinned will the cost update?

I wish you would have talked about Attuma more. I was so upset when I pulled him but man was I wrong. He is great.

When i got to pool 3 i impulse bought Cerebro without realizing how many other cards he needs to work, and I've watched as other top tier cards cycle through without having any tokens so I wish I had an extra 1K tokens

My regret purchase is honestly She-Hulk. She’s a great card but midway through tier 3 I don’t really have decks to add her to and it’s meant I can’t afford to purchase another card since

Mine isnt specifically on the card itself which was shehulk but rather spending 3k on a pool 4 card instead of getting three pool 3 cards considering im not even halfway through pool 3

I haven’t regretted any purchases, Shuri, She-Hulk and Luke Cage. My problem now is I don’t want to buy any more until we find out how cards drop series as the tokens are so hard to obtain in quantity and if a 6000 cost card is soon to become 3000 then I would have buyers remorse.

I didnt get 6000 tokens when it first came out and i used my hole 3000 tokens on attuma and i must say i have played him in almost every deck i own love him no regrets so far but i still have more tokens to go and if i had to say my best deck with attuma is shuri man making him a 20 on 5 with armor and sunspot storm and then dino and im never l9sing thos games love the pod cast

I lucked out and had She-Hulk appear the day I unlocked the token shop, 100% total buy if you see it, it fits in any deck and I think it was 3000? Only other card I bought was Crossbones which, eh. It’s actually been OK for me with less consistency issues because I play a power Jubilee deck (she hulk is a godsend) but I don’t think I would buy again. We’ll see what I get in a year when I have enough tokens again.

First card I bought was absorbing man and yeah he doesn’t hit how I thought he would.

I have unlocked mbaku with a cache.. how lucky I am.. the next one.. Nick Fury the day after we got the event

I bought miles morales a couple days ago, I’m still pretty low level collection and ladder. But I threw him in a movement deck and I’ve been having a lot of fun and I’m up to like level 42 on ladder already.

hey, I have M'Baku in my 2 power Cerebro deck and he has won me more than a few games.

As someone who spent every day the max amount of gold into credits and bought the welcome bundle, the apoc and the sunspot but stopped now i have reached CL 4800 since release. So i had the luxory of getting a lot of these cards. i opened Shuri, Absorbing man, Helicarrier, Coulsen and Luke Cage Shuri felt great but sometimes clunky because you dont have the time to drop her or it conflicts with zero because u cant zero and shuri the red skull etc... so she is good... but im glad i didnt spent 6k on her. Absorbing man is cool but also never worth the 6k for me. Same with Luke... hes cool though but not worth the price. helicarrier, coulson... yeah, dont spent tokens on.. Now to the cards i bought: 1. -> Titania: shes worth for me 3k. She makes a lot impact on the final turn, is good with zero or venom and fits a lot of decks. Im happy about her 2. -> Attuma: Im kinda ok with it. Not amazed but its a good card for my Zero deck, works in my control deck where i play proffessor x and armor anyway and often hes fine solo in a lane, either winning it or forcing opponent playing cards there. not sure i would buy him again though 3. -> She-Hulk: Shes great. i dont play her much outside Baero but shes great in there and im happy i have here because she can be an option in nearly any deck 4. -> Valkyrie: I dont like that buy. i got baited because every Content creator and their mother said shes broken and insane etc.. and i get behind it... shrink enemy lane, buff your lane, cerebro 3... but truth is... cerebro 2 is the best and 3 is cringe... buffing your cards... well you dont do that with her you play patriot, cerebro or stuff like that. she is good but doesnt have a home right now. so wouldnt buy her again but she isnt that much wasted.. 5. -> Bast: bought her and love her. She is insane in my negative deck and has so many homes. so easy to fit her in a deck and play her as just 1 cost. sure turn 4 onwards shes kinda dead but giving cards like silver surfer, iron man, adam warlock, mystique etc. so much value... hood... mr. negative... she is soo good. i would even buy her for 8k. 6. -> Knull: bought him too, thought he is insane. realized he is just good. because eating novas, hoods and buckys doesnt make him great. hes good in my arnim zola deck. where i play lizards, titanias, maximus, then venom them.. sometimes get my venom shang chi'ed and thanks to magik i do knull into zola. Knull is often 20-40 power here. So im happy that he isnt broken as we thought but shines when the deck is built right and played right. would buy him again.

I would love to see actual tcg marvel snap sold at stores to play at locals. Even a RNG machine at select locations where you can use in game currency to roll the dice on cards from said machine.

My only regret has been She-hulk because at the time I didn't have the cards to fully support her and also I don't really enjoy playing meta decks and her play style didn't excite me. I was holding for Thanos but haven't seen many S5 cards for so long and knull showed up, and honestly I bought him and it's the most fun I had in this game since.

I was extremely disappointed to not see the teased "card transmog system" on the road map at all. There are cards I really regret upgrading because I didn't have the foresight of knowing what they'd look like with the upgraded frame color/effect. I think it's very silly to be penalized by having a card that you don't enjoy the look of as much for upgrading it (most cards, for example, I think look vastly superior with Legendary golden border or Ultra red). It would just be a much better quality of life improvement to be able to select whichever borders you have "unlocked" for that card.

Ok so the cards I bought on the shop were Destroyer, Green Goblin, Brood, Wave, Aero, Maximus, Taskmaster, and Sera (in that order) and I have 1600 credits left. Weirdly my biggest regret is Green Goblin. He is plug and play, but he never really found a spot in the decks I liked playing. Taskmaster was by far my best buy, as I ranked up 10 levels in one day using him in my Zero deck with Red Skull (Zero was my first Series 3 card, and I pulled Red Skull in a cache the day before TM appeared in my points shop, lucky me). Destroyer was great as an early pool 3 but I don't use him much now. He is worth it for early pool 3 but not otherwise. Brood and Maximus actually were worth it for sure if you have Silver Surfer. Wave and Aero are quite good but weren't as consistent as I was hoping. Sera I got yesterday and so far I'm really enjoying her. I could have waited for her variant bundle but I couldn't wait to really get a Sera Surfer deck going since I had every card I needed besides her (the deck is awesome so far). I passed on Leader early before I understood how cards rotate (I would see every pool 3 card in the shop at least once before seeing him again). I'm saving the coins for him since I pretty have every meta pool 3 card besides him other than Daredevil, Mister Negative, and Patriot (who I had pinned two days ago until I realized I had a chance of pulling his holiday variant).

It doesn’t rotate like that, Ive had the same pool 3 cards appear multiple times and not seen a lot of cards still

Maybe they could come up with conversion rates for tokens so you can use your other currencies to buy them

I bought absorbing man and don’t regret him. That’s literally the only card I have been able to buy…. I have since got two tier 4&5 cards from natural progression and only two tier 3. Tier 3 is taking forever for me to finish

Thats insanely lucky tho, its so hard to get series 4 cards while your series 3 isn't complete, let alone series 5. You won the lottery dude

As a longtime MTG player a draft tournament mode would literally make me squee like a schoolgirl
