    This lawyer says these terms are too long but gives an example of how it turned someone around. It takes a long time to change someone enough who would ruin a thousand lives with a few suicides thrown in. It's not a victimless crime.... Reply

    Let's take it easy with saying he's getting that much jail time to warn other "potential offenders" that's a disservice to the interest of the United States legal system and constitution. Also is a bit predatory, so let's hope that is not a real dynamic.

    Sentencing guidelines are based on the damages done. But not all are correct in alignment. However in this case they work. But a drug user on 3rd possession charges in 3 years are not. I would hope this idiot could know the difference. But that would take common sense. And by his degree, we know he has very little. 😅
