I’m confused. How is it useless when it opens up more bonuses. Like 2 brazos and NB increases mag size for strikers and brings guns with less ammo into play like the Capacitor which is not great with DTA and DTTOC and 60 rounds. Granted it’s useless if the second brand bonus isn’t good.

Because its not "MeTa" lmao.. there's multiple reddit posts arguing about this poor backpack.. for me I don't even sweat it when people say "it's Bad" because the backpack boosted my capacitor dmg to 130K.. gave me 3 skill tiers opposed to the 1 skill tier I get if I remove the backpack and boosted my armor from 900K to 1.3M.. My skill repairs and heals shot through the roof, My cooldowns are like 15 seconds sometimes less and my capacitor's dmg gets increased by 7.5% for each skill tier and I have 3 skill tiers along with the +1 tier you get if you run a Technician spec so that 4 skill tiers. To my understanding people hate on this backpack because it removes the backpack talents or maybe they just don't like hybrid builds lol I could never tell why this pack gets soo much hate.

Because you have a "thing" in mind when doing your build; For damage - any damage , be it status, gun or skill the gear bonuses you unlock pales when compared to actual backpack talents. For survivability... you cannot compete with either a proper matador backpack or memento (your pick here depends on the group and distance of engagement). For support - boosting other peoples damage (and foam/CC), opportunistic talent exists. For support - healing , see above, squeeze in opportunistic (no not safeguard, it's junk, you're already overhealing everyone but the tank so that talent is not used and the tank can very well handle himself - giving him 50% armor is good enough for him) UNLESS you are doing a DURATION BASED healing i.e. control room then YES ninjabike can be used here. Mr. Dod showed us 100% haz prot & 100% pulse resist, however he missed the combo here for dark zone, 100% haz prot AND 100% pulse resist AND 60% CHC is only avaliable through ninja bike. Some months ago DOD showed a variant with 100% increase health, worth thinking about since they axed the hp of players by the ankles (atleast if you have a decently high SHD level). But this build was... well... underperforming to say the least, the loss of memento bonus armor, spike damage boost and not to forget the long term damage increasement and skill efficiency it was... well.. let's just say you did notice the difference when shooting people, everything took just a bit longer making you take more damage and you had to pay attention to the health gating timer. Then hybrids... define it please, is it a "run and gun but I have a drone in tow shooting at stuff"? then memento outshines ninjabike. is it "it gives me a better shield" then memento gives the same cores AND skill efficiency to boot. So there you have it - control room Iron horse healer, DZ hazprot & no pulse. That's the only two uses for it. Because yes, backpack talents are too good DEPENDING on what you want your build to do, and if you have an edge case where "no applicable talent is worth it for me", then consider mementos 5 minute trophy buffs and the short pickup buff. And before you say "memento stacks goes away when I die" then ... simply stop dying (learning spawns, learning sound queues (i.e. nades, outcast suiciders, drones) it's almost always either tunnel vision or location issue). or "when in a group I never get any trophys" yeah, because your damage sucks, and that means your build sucks compare to the rest of the group, which means you either have an aim issue or you need to re-think your build.

jack of all trades, master of none is what you're thinking here. what you're thinking about is that it "works", you can make it work but when it has no useful application beyond gimmicky hybrids like umbra striker or 100 round st elmo with true patriot brazo then "useless" is a fair assessment. even then i'd argue memento is a better jack of all trades exotic bp due to the multiple buffs it grants you to dmg, skill efficiency and passive healing which outperforms whatever NBB+brand set combo you can think of

My lady death build with 3 hunters fury, 2 brazos and NB

I made one for testing. Ninja Bike Pack w / Walker knee pads / Contractor glove / Hallow man mask / named brazo holster and bel chest with spotter. For the weapons Rpk w/flatline and a Police M4 w/ flatline and running tactician for the under barrel mod and 1 Xtra yellow.

I see the BP getting used a lot, but tbh its mostly on PVP builds. Its all over KZread. AND I get it, its very viable in PVP, maybe not so much in PVE. I certainly only use it in PVP for Hybrid DPS/TANK/HAZPRO variations. Do not think I have one PVE set up with it on it, maybe on an explosive build possibly

@@jamesdouglas5930 I use a punch drunk, chainkiller, 2 hotshot & 1 hasburg, all headshot damage & weapon handling. Model 700 can normally one shot Heroic enemies in solo. Great for farming with all directives, use gunner for the ammo regen

@@KarlDelaney99 I did try it but the vigilance damage makes quite a difference and i don’t see myself using it in either pve nor pvp in regards to sniper builds. But it’s a personal opinion and certainly other people think otherwise.

I use the backpack in pvp with a hybrid capacitor healer works very well

I have 2 Ninja backpack builds but their task specific. One Hotshot, determined sniper setup that lets me stack attributes I need to use my mods for Headshot, which outperforms my highest damage sniper build due to weapon handling allowing for quicker acquisition of targets in single player mode after a certain amount of damage its wasted on sniper builds so this gives me speed running capabilities. My second one is a Umbra Initiative build with an LMG/Frenzy/MG5 spec'd to ROF as third attribute & Mag attachment, Ninja BP gives me the ability to stack additional weapon reload talents much needed for LMG's like reload speed, weapon handling.

Exactly! Agree with you 100% with the sniper build. I tried everything: perfect spotter, perfect vigilance, glass canon, companion, etc, and the damage was lacking in 3s and 4s teams. The only way to make it work was with the ninja bp and the bonus it provides.

Tested this ages ago, end up being 35% less. esspecailly on first shot which is where you need the damage. Probably changed now since project resolve, though 10% MMR damage is not enough to compensate for a 35% Multiplicative drop. so at best you are still looking at a 30 - 31% gap. This is then completely mittigated by the fact that a lot of MMR's were directly buffed. Some, up to 20%. Umbra is uniquely a bad set, but even so, with the buffs to LMG, you are not running Fast Hands? This one talent expressly mitigates every issue you have stated having with LMG. You should also roll the 3rd attribute to Crit Chance.

@@DodRegnbue I was going a different direction with Umbra build, I am already at 58% Crit Chance already so I used the 3rd attribute for ROF, with the benefits of reload speed from other sets I am reloading fast enough, I wanted the talent not to be spent on fast hands because I wanted more damage, so Frenzy with the ROF/DAM increased did that for me. The emphasis of the build was, build the stacks, get out of cover shot and kill quickly, empty the mag completely, stacks are lost from Umbra, now Frenzy takes over reloading from empty, run to cover regain stacks, rinse repeat. Umbra stacks are lost after 5 seconds of firing, so I want to find another way to extend the ROF and Damage somehow. The only viable way I could make it work was because of the Ninja Backpack. Otherwise like you said I would have rolled it to fast hands.

i just wish the ninja bag can also active the bag set talents then it will be strong/meta.

I have been able to build a stability/accuracy rifle build that allows me to use a converted usc and a merciless. But it's definitely not meta and just for fun. There definitely needs to be a rifle gear set tho. That does damage without a stacking mechanic.

Dead on with the sniper ally build

I have one ninja bike build. 3 piece striker with one rolled armor core, providence chest with obliterate, picaro holster and ninja bike. Crit chance as close to 60 without going over and crit damage for the rest. Gives tier 5 shield at all times with access to tier 6 either through technician or kard custom but have it set to gunner for armor on kill normally. Originally put it together for a friend trying to move away from all armor cores without too much sacrifice to shield strength.But after a little experimenting trying to drop ninja bike and still keep the tier 5 shield, saint elmo for some reason has a little more damage with ninja but other weapons do better without. Im currently at a loss for what im doing wrong to get this result

NinjaBackPack for me is not damage but for defense (kinda). Ninja backpack and Picaro holster is tier 4 shield, at least for me i can't live without shield. Skill issues, if i don't use shield i will lie on floor so fast. Usually i use NinjaBackPack + Picaro holster + brazos chest (unbreakable for survival) and Ongoing Directive set. With that kind of setting, my elmo have 100ish ammo. And after shock, bleed ammo will be refilled if i can kill any enemy with 100 hollow point bullet.

Memento + Picaros is a tier 3 shield with 30% Skill Efficiency. This is pretty much equal to a tier 4 shield while having more damage, bonus armour, armour regen, short term buffs to damage and again, skill efficiency.

@@DodRegnbue Memento is great but not useful for Conflict PvP and arguably same problem for 3s and 4s teams. I'd rather use Ninjabike like @gferd is suggesting anytime of the day and do not worry about the stacks.

I only use it under sufferance to fulfil 2 and 3 piece bonuses while waiting for my Habsburg unicorn vigilance backpack to drop for a sniper build. My numbers are currently just above those of my 3 piece hotshot build but I know those numbers will go up once I get the bits I need. Been discussing it with Dispatch a little whilst dancing back and forth over 5% HSD or MMR stats.

I feel you, but that backpack is never going to drop.... your best bet is hit up the vendors and buy habsburgs, deconstruct them and craft. use your 2/3/4th character to dump points into pure cash.... The backpack will come, but it's going to take you 200-300 tries.... With that said... that damn chest eludes me... after ANOTHER 400 crafts I settled with skill damage... I know it's useless, but I got headhunter, headshot & rerolled red core... I started with thinking "handling or crit chance is good enough" but man oh man it never came.

@@DodRegnbue may have a prov piece in there but can’t recall. All I remember is that the bag of satan currently unlocks enough brand bonuses to still hit 27-30 mil with an M700. I’ll pop it on here when I get a chance ti look over the next few days. Literally talking a few % of either MMR or HSD. Watch this space.

So, with NBBP…. Habsburg Mask (15 HSD + 20 MMR) Prov chest ‘Headhunter’ (15 HSD + 10 Crit) Airaldi knees (10 MMR + 15 HSD) 2 x Hotshot. 336.2 HSD 109.7 All Wep 88.2 HSD Not maxed. Ideally I’d put Prov BP on with vigilance but then it’d be a choice between 2 pieces of either HG or Airaldi, losing 20 MMR or 15 HSD. I’d also lose 30 HSD from 3xHotshot. Quite a lot of HSD or 20MMR to sacrifice so as not to use NBBP.

Just a quick question. You do any PVP?

I saw someone recently running 2pc heartbreaker, 3pc hotshot and ninjabike. I'm fairly certain a little piece of my soul died when I inspected them and saw that

Ninja bike works well with Hunters but screws up all of my other builds. I think it works well with Hunters bc the Hunters backpack talent is meh...

memento exists. if you're running hunters fury and are running around then you do MORE damage if you go all yellow with memento than all red with ninja bike. Memento 5 minute stack - 30% dmg. Memento 10 second bonus - 5%*6 = 30% dmg. 30+30 = 60. Ninja bike was made for pre-classified Division 1. classified gear made it obsolete due to the insane 6-set bonuses. Ninja bike in division 2 was obsolete the second warlords of new york did the whole talent-on-gear rewamp. Not saying memento is the be-all-end-all for hunters fury, you've got the talents Dod listed too... Now if you want 100% haz prot & pulse immunity for DZ, yes that's when you bring it out. or if you want to snooze in the control room in iron horse AND NOT bring overcharge for the tanks revive hive. -come to think about it... yeah no... I'd rather have a overcharge for my buddies than a longer lasting HoT in the room so yeah, that leaves ONE single build for ganking/avoid being ganked in DZ.

​@Fiffelito not that I'm advocating NBB over Memento but the short and long term don't work out that way in what you presented (all yellow with Memento vs all red with NBB). Memento long term stack is 30% WD (2 more red cores essentially). Short term is based on your core distribution. If you were all yellow you'd get 30% more skill efficiency on the pick up and 5% more additive weapon damage from the singular red core off Memento itself. But there is also the 3% armor regen and the bonus armor. Still need to stack kills and lose the buff under circumstances, if that's worth losing a different pack talent or turning on other bonuses (eg Brazos for mag size) isn't that straightforward especially solo in the open world farming. As typical, context is everything. I've even seen T6 skill core HF builds with capacitor work in both contexts!

@@grumpyoldman6503 Yes the math is a bit off, but the basic underlying meaning stays the same, you've got a short term buff that when having 6 red cores (again hunters fury user, no need to bring up yellow cores) gives you a 30% weapon damage bonus. And the long term gives you another 30% weapon damage bonus. Those two alone is reason not to use ninja bike. Then ofc as you pointed out; 30% skill efficiency AND 3% armor regen AND bonus armor when picking up trophies. When you combine all that I fail to see why anyone would pick ninja bike. context is: stated claim "I think it (ninja bike) works well with hunters fury because mementos talent is meh". I pointed out with granted a bit flawed math that no, mementos talent is actually really really good and outshines any brand set bonus you could get, yes even mag size.

I would like to think the ninja has helped me learn the game, but finding it difficult to take the bags training wheels away.

What about an Hazard Protection build, while using the Backfire, and having "constant" damage buffs, instead of relying on variable Backpack Talents...? 2x Ceska, 2x Yaahl, 2x Sokolov, 2x Walker and either 2x Cavalier or 2x Brazos (with Picaro's). Is this any good? Can this do better damage than a full High End Uzina, Ceska, Yaahl build?

The question here is why. This seems like you are hell bent on using Backfire when you could essentially use any other SMG with a normal Hunter's Fury build with Momento and just do more.

@@DodRegnbue it's nit about using the Backfire, but having a full Hazard build that can also do damage. The build that I described is the only way I see that can achieve that. Obviously there are (almost) no scenarios in the game where we would need a full Hazard that actually does damage, but if we would need one, this seems the only way to get it...

It may be useless in PVE, but it is valuable because it's very useful in PVP.

Pick one. Even 511, now offering 30% Health, a blue core, Crit chance Roll and Vigi is more survivability and more damage. and you still have an extra roll and mod slot.

Ninjabike is very useful for hybrids, especially if you're not looking for a backpack talent as a part of the build. I have 2 builds with it and they're very useful for Legendary content. It's also good for people like the example you showed. Maybe that guy didn't have the watch at a very high level to actually have the 10% extra damage. PS: EB is awesome with Strikers if your aim is good enough and you know how to use it.

Memento massive outoerform all other options on High brid builds. 30% Skill Effiency is a huge winner here. Armour Regen. Weapon damage. Bonus Armour. One Item covers litterally every basis of a Hybrid build by itself. The example i gave was from a person who was SHD 4,377. And no, EB is straight bad in PvE.

Meh in PvE but absolutely goated in PvP especially in conflict because of the SHD watch being disabled.

The only use I see when using ninjabike is when u want brand/gear bonuses that u normally won't get without ninjabike. Like pulse resistance, hazard protection (100% pulse resistance and 80/90% hazard protection), and armor regen build.

3 Yaahl, 3 Uzina. 10% Haz at base, from watch. +20% from 3 Uzina, + 10% from Yaahl. We now need 6 Haz Pro Rolls, luckily, we are wearing 6 pieces of year. Spec gives 50% Pulse Res, 3 Yaalh gives 40%, we now need 1 Pulse Res Mod. 100% Hazpro, and 100% Pulse Res.

@@DodRegnbue I know that those is better when it comes to pulse and hazard resistance. It's armor regen that is different because I use the brand sets that have % armor regen along with hazard.

Run 3 Piece Striker with 2 Piece Hunter Fury with Ninja and Gunner. All Red. Puts out the damage with survivability. At the end of the day everyone plays the game differently so what works for one doesnt mean in any way shape or form it will work for the other. Just play the game how you want to play it not how somebody tells you how to play it.

Idea: ninja bike backpack, closer chest, W&H mask, 3 piece Heartbreaker. 👌

Memento + Ceska Mask. Gear Set struggle with Crit unless already inlayed into them, like Negotiators. So giving up a Ceska piece is a huge no no. And we are not exactly working towards that 90% health. 3% passive armour regen is also nice from Momento, as well has having some axtra damage. But the reall winner here is going to be the ability to keep the bonus armour and continue stacking when Heart Breaker inevitabily fails.

I usually watch your videos and like them, but this one I have to say is pointless. No solid arguments against the ninja bp, just saying "you should be doing this instead of that" is not an argument. Hybrid builds are real thing after project resolve. Capacitor, specially, is tearing in PvP because of hybrid dps and skill builds. This video is a sad one, I am affraid. You mentioned that you do not like this bp, and this video exists just to show us that. No bueno.

Hybrid Builds have been a real thing since Capacitor introduction, and Capacitor is only "tearing it up" because it excells in armour damage. Build for health. Problem solved. Project Resolve did minimal to nothing for Hybrids, if anything it has just solidified the "meta" even more. Brandset bonuses pale in comparrison to Talents. That is the argument.

So you are saying that the extra 7.5% weapon damage for each yellow core the Capacitor gets should be ignored? Man, you are really confusing, because at the same time, you are praising Walker and Harris pieces because they give you weapon damage too? Here is a proposal: do the actual math in a video, so we can debate with facts (not just hate for the poor Ninja bp). That would be good to watch. But do not be one dimensional, limiting yourself to calculate weapon/dps damage. You should take into account utility/skills too: Stinger hive & Explosive Seeker mine Lvl 6 damage & also 6 yellows + 2 reds Capacitor with full Umbra stacks for burst PvP. Do this and this video will be legendary for debate. Cheers bro, don't be a blind hater for the Ninja, she is so cute.

Now I’m not a ninja bike fan. In div1 to me it was for new players that needed to finish off a build. But! The only build and again I’m not a ninja fan I think it’s the worst pack a sorry sad bs excuse to me for a exotic they had no ideas and said let’s just bring back the pack. It only works for the umbra set due to the fact you nNEVER use the umbra pack. Is the only build for the ninja. If you ninja a striker your watch needs to be removed and put in the WH for paper work duty.

Ninja bike with 2 brazos 2 true patriot 1 SMG brandset. Use a black market SMG with strained and lady death….obliterate…max mag size..your welcome

@@RaulNigli I’m not really sure I don’t visit the shooting range that much. With lady death fully stacked you’re able to get a full clip and a half worth of the buff. And with 90 to 100 rounds on a slow firing SMG Strained has a long up time.

😂 Hysterical, that in year 5 of a game that is constantly giving us new things to use, here is a vehicle that allows for the possibilities, and here are all the purist, perfectionist and its a "POS" people chumping at the bit to make sure we know that we are waisting our time with nonsense. I am solo pve except when helping clanmates, shepparding and Incursion help runs. I run the ninja bag a ton just creating combo builds stacking attributes. I am not a talents guy. So ninja is fun and offers me funny times watching the npc literally be confused as to what I just did to them. F what is Ultimately better and perfect. I'll do better and perfect when I need to but other times variety keeps the game fun. But a POS its not...

New does not mean better, or in this sense, not even good. The point of a possibility to to be equal to in measure, or greater than, normally with some form of draw back. NBB has more draw backs, this does not make someone a purists or perfectionist. Just objective. You have taken an emotional stance to an objective point. This is neither good or even worth my time.

@@davidbryant7300 Pick one. NBB is objectivly bad. So many people here are screaming that it is for defence only. 511 with a Blue Core, 30% health, a Crit Chance Roll and Vigi is more in defence and in damage and 511 is often called the worse Brand Set. Still better than NBB.
