We don't have to wait to see if there is a Monopoly set to determine if WotC has jumped the shark. The jump the shark moment was D&D cards and Universes Beyond.

Walking Dead Secret Lair is what did it for me: I didn't have a problem with Godzilla cards from Ikoria, because of the alternate name. In fact, I thought that was brilliant. But as soon as functionally unique tournament legal magic cards featuring other IPs entered the picture and were only available for a short time, I got off the FOMO train before it was too fast to jump off safely.

@@mickshealthjourney3635 LOTR has done it for me. It is absurd that format legality is not only different between each Universes Beyond release, but is ultimately confusing. They could simply remove or add them all in one motion. I have reached my end. Commander only going forward, and with REAL Magic cards found in booster packs of REAL Magic worlds.

I purchase the plane of Inistrad and put a high born tavern on it, if you land there, you pay 3 life or I draw a card from your deck and cast it for free. If I'm using the bat token to move around the board, you take 1 damage and I gain one life if I land on your space!

Pretty clear desperate cash grab; forcing two games together like this is not likely to play well. Reskinning Magic cards to random properties like Doctor Who works OK, but this sort of Frankenstein's Monster design is not something that anyone outside the C-suite actually wants.

I don't know, we don't accuse Mattel of being desperate every time they put out a new version of Uno.

You go the analogy backwards. It’s not Uno that’s in question, but what brand is willing to partner with them.

Who's the murderer? We're all murderers! I honestly don't know how I feel about this game. It's so weird, it's a bit intriguing.

They also did betrayal at house on the hill, but did a d&d version

Ravnica: Clue Edition sounds like fun and shows that WotC is still at the top.

I do have a soft spot for Candyland because of what it is. It was designed as an intentional sweet and gentle game for young, hospitalized, pre-verbal children. It's not for adults.

I only like MTG. Baldur's Gate is pretty cool but haven't been able to get into DnD do to life problems

MtG: Clue sounds stupid... but buy it if you want.

This sounds like two separate things that are great on their own but absolute rubbish when combined. Hasbro are getting desperate.
