Ya, it's too fitting, afterall, didn't humanity of LANCER live through there own little dark age? What if a second one were to occur? The galaxy is on the coinflip for utopia and a better galaxy or another grander dark age of war and chaos. The song fits all to well for it.

This setting needs everything, games, animated series, books, comics, movies, tv shows. I'm starved for more Lancer

The creators made a comic before (not same setting but similar writing/artstyle) Kill 6 billion demons. Also there is a free fan-made turn based game I believe.

@@jazzy4830 Yeah i follow the creators, only of them is the K6BD guy, i love his art so much. He also created the ttrpg Icon and just released a skirmish game called Maleghast, all by himself. Awesome guy. i've played the turn-based game as well but it was a long time ago, it was still quite raw, i need to see how it's doing now. But since i'm always starved for mech shit and it's quite hard for me to put a ttrpg group together these days i would absolutely kill for something like a Lancer animation of the same quality as Hathaway, or a big scope action game. Y'know what, we could at least have Lancer mods for AC6 lol. I pray for Lancer to grow big, really big to the point where it becomes a known multimedia franchise.

@@lovebunny2652 Yeah that would be nice, I read Maleghast but haven't tried to run it yet, I like skirmish scale games but it looked a little underdeveloped from a rules standpoint. Maybe it comes together better in play, I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Yeah but tbh it just began it's life. I have faith it'll grow into something more substantial over time. I know he released the first update already but i haven't read anything yet.

Little Dark Age is so versatile dude. I've seen it used so much for grim dark stuff that I've come to solely associate it with that branch of fiction. Yet oddly, in a universe as hopeful as Lancer's, I still feel it fits. Whether it's overlayed upon images of humanities great achievements or behind the conflicts burgeoning under the surface of this seeming utopia it still fits. Wild piece of music, especially for something that, at least from the last time I tried to learn the lyrics, seems rather nonsensical.

I want to make a campaign based of this song for Lancer. A people fleeing a dying world, countless souls huddling together in a ramshackle fleet of ships. All of them looking forward to an uncertain but hopeful future under the golden protection of the Utopian Pillars that loom large in their cultural memory. The Lancers are the Fleet's guardians and leaders, jumping into action and guiding them through their journey towards Union space. For humanity, it is going through the greatest, most enduring golden age it has ever experienced. For their people, it is their darkest hour, barely a meter of alloy between any one person and instant death. Reclaimed water, rationed food, and no privacy, for years upon years. It is their Little Dark Age.

I just found out about this game existing and KZread sent me here, and I love it! I have zero time to invest in it right now, but it's on my radar once I finish my current game project. All that nonsense out of the way: Fantastically put together MV! There's so much creativity in this fanbase, it's nuts. I love some of the BattleTech fanbase, but y'all over here doing it with less and still knocking it out of the park and I'm here for it!

Lancer gameplay : Shonen vibe, ultra flashy moves, exagerated physic breaking actions Lancer lore : Evangelion, Lain, More or less like the contraste in Macross between the singing parts vs the lore of "things are going pretty bad actually" XD

All this is true in the wide, wide galaxy and Rim, but the Core Worlds is like a burning torch of hope at the center. And the fire is getting bigger.

I Thought Lancer was like a company apart of titan fall or something but this is way cooler

So, was trying to figure out the lore of Lancer. Ngl, seems ok enough, and I love how NHPs works like, but I feel that, beside Harrison Armory, or the Aun Ascendency in a minimal part, there are no greater villains, or did I missed something and there is instead ? Because I was homebrewing one but wanted to know first
