  Can we all just appreciate that this is one of the best intro cinematics to a video game of all time? The narrator absolutely murdered the script, you start the game at 200% hype levels even though you have no idea whats happening

  So, was trying to figure out the lore of Lancer. Ngl, seems ok enough, and I love how NHPs works like, but I feel that, beside Harrison Armory, or the Aun Ascendency in a minimal part, there are no greater villains, or did I missed something and there is instead ? Because I was homebrewing one but wanted to know first

  Besides like... Seccom remnants (because relativistic travel and stasis) can always be around, all the corpostates all have their own fucky stuff going on, easily make some subdivision the baddie. Though making something limited to a starsystem is fine and some homebrewed issue that is finally boiling over is how you keep things reasonable. Unless the players are albatross or something they won't be on a multi-star system campaign. Could literally just have the baddies come from another timeline from NHP/paracasual bullshit. It's mostly picking a thing and committing to the implications. Just make sure it's far enough away from a blinkgate and thirdcomm can't do a whole lot of direct force application if it's that level of threat thus justifying the heroics of the players.

  @@Adalore I was kinda homebrewing something that goes in contrast with Ra's only law, but done in a way that passes for "borderline outlawed", and based on a cult-like Corporation that has a monopoly on communications. That or the remnants of a forgotten war that has a perceived grudge against Union

  The song fits the setting so well. Hints of corrupt authorianism, rebellion and burning shit down with a band of friends. Union itself is implied to corrupt and contradict its utopia because it essentially employs space UN to subvert vassal planets. 🗿🗿🗿

  I just found out about this game existing and KZread sent me here, and I love it! I have zero time to invest in it right now, but it's on my radar once I finish my current game project. All that nonsense out of the way: Fantastically put together MV! There's so much creativity in this fanbase, it's nuts. I love some of the BattleTech fanbase, but y'all over here doing it with less and still knocking it out of the park and I'm here for it!

  The creators made a comic before (not same setting but similar writing/artstyle) Kill 6 billion demons. Also there is a free fan-made turn based game I believe.

  @@jazzy4830 Yeah i follow the creators, only of them is the K6BD guy, i love his art so much. He also created the ttrpg Icon and just released a skirmish game called Maleghast, all by himself. Awesome guy. i've played the turn-based game as well but it was a long time ago, it was still quite raw, i need to see how it's doing now. But since i'm always starved for mech shit and it's quite hard for me to put a ttrpg group together these days i would absolutely kill for something like a Lancer animation of the same quality as Hathaway, or a big scope action game. Y'know what, we could at least have Lancer mods for AC6 lol. I pray for Lancer to grow big, really big to the point where it becomes a known multimedia franchise.

  @@lovebunny2652 Yeah that would be nice, I read Maleghast but haven't tried to run it yet, I like skirmish scale games but it looked a little underdeveloped from a rules standpoint. Maybe it comes together better in play, I would be happy to be proven wrong.
