Brought one yesterday and it doesnt make a rattling noise when playin dirt rally 2.0. Pedals are perfectly fine and had a great time with it.

We used it for years, but recently moved up to the G Pro, can't go back now. The G29 is sitting on a shelf for displace.

Great video dude. I've just upgraded to a Moza R12 base using R5 bundle wheel and pedals) from the G29. It was my daily driver for nearly 8 years! Great little package. My R12 doesn't even have a shifter so the G29 beats my DD rig there! And I think the pedals are comparable. (Mine are the lite ones, so no load cell for the break.)

Been playing racing games since age 6 and now 29 and this is my first wheel … shouldn’t have taken me this long at all but excited to finally be able to actually control cars in Gran Turismo and Assetto Corsa lol

got my wheel new for 250 after tax with the shifter, no clicking noise like in the video but i do agree with the small issue shifting into reverse, this wheel is totally worth it at that price.

I still have my G27, use it weekly or more with no issues. Love that wheel. Would love to try a direct drive sometime, but really don't see much of a point.

Got the new updated one for PS5 I doesn't rattle and after setting the wheel sensitivity to the highest it's a blast really fun for the price $250 with 3 year warranty on Amazon lol.

I keep hearing about the noise of the G29 but I haven't had that experience yet. I just got mine a week ago so maybe it will happen eventually but right out the box it is no where near as loud as what I see in videos on KZread.

After some time they start to make that weird noise, depends on the wear of the gears inside I guess

I think it only happens with earlier G29, mine is pretty quite as well, the sound of me pressing & lifting the pedal is louder than the wheels lol.

Everything about this video is true the noice, flickerink pedals and the wheel button thing love it

My family warned me that the sound when I took my foot off the pedals was louder than the steering part. I'm currently using Thrustmaster.

Make sure to keep your g29 pedals clean of any dust, otherwise potentiometers will start acting up over time (common issue).

Here in Asia, DD wheels are overly expensive and we also have to take into account the availability. Popular wheels from reputable brands are G29 and the Thrustmaster line up. Also a cheaper but questionable brand is PXN. So our choices are somewhat limited mainly due to our pockets lol. I have recently gotten the G29 last January and I am happy with it. I use headphones so I dont really hear much of the crackles. Also installed it on the GT Lite Pro so the noise is not as bad as placing it on a desk. I will play with this perhaps in a year and may upgrade to the R5 if any good deals come up in the future. Despite its flaws, I am happy that Logitech still sells the G29 or even the latest version as it gives us more access to affordable options from reliable a brand...

What's the availability of Cammus in Asia? I just received mine yesterday, it feels insane in comparison to G29, and paired up with Logitech pedals and shifter it feels really nice

I bought it 4 years ago at 180 euro. It was on discount at Amazon. So i think i got a good deal there, i never see it fall at that price now our days.

No noise from my g29, maby depends what you have it mounted to.

you can turn the rumbles off in most proper racing sims and just have the ffb through the wheel, its what i do in my g923 when racing online

Use eva foam under the set

Moza's R5 bundle makes way more sense than the G29. And once you drive with the Moza wheel it's like night and day in the experience compared to the G29. Mine rattled a lot as well. The Moza is totally silent.

What you didn't mention is that if you want a custom wheel, the g29 does not support it. I played about 100 hours with a custom wheel on my g29 and the force feedback is nonexistent and drifting becomes impossible since the weak motor can't turn a heavier wheel fast enough to catch drifts. If you are fine with the stock tiny gokart wheel then the g29 is an amazing starter kit for simracing.

My G920 doesn't make noise.

I think it's totally okay when you live alone and don't have neighbors or family in the same house/building 😄

It's better than the 923 because it still works on ps3 I got a 923 then did heavy mods on it (I might do a vid in it) but with not backwards compatibility it hurts the best old games like gt5 gt6 etc

I have mine (a G920) for about a year and it's a second hand one and I've never have much issue with the noise. it does produce some noise though. but I guess what you hear is clipping

I have one the issue is most xbox games don't work on it. Still fun to have i like it. But its worth the money

It was okay for everyone who want to start sim racing. But for a bit more I'd suggest buying at least Thrustmaster T300RS GT. The wheel is so much better IMO

i still using G27, DD is stupidly too expensive for me who just playing sim for recreational purpose😁

With the Cammus C5 and Fanatec CSL DD 5nm out, I see no reason to ever buy a G29 new. Only ever used and thats if you're super super broke. I'd advice to just wait, save a little, and get a C5 to any beginners getting into sim racing.

If they don’t know if they would like, you want them to spend 50%+ more to find that out? If you are already into sim racing, then I agree. I would reconsider my opinion, if only to increase the supply of decent beginner DD wheels on the used market.

Just go with the t300rs. For a beginner it’s better than this and plus don’t break the bank.

My g29 is actually very very quiet... get a better table or aim higher and buy a rig

Yeah, my g29 doesn't clack like that either, but it makes me wonder if we just got lucky. I do also run mine in a rig now, but it wasn't any noisier when I had it clamped to my desk.

For me it was mostly happening in very bumpy places, which happens rarely (apart when driving fully off road or a bumpy track). When driving on smooth surface, it was quiet

Anyone buying the ancient and worst of the FFB technologies in 2024 is ill advised. You can buy a direct drive setup for very little extra outlay or even the same price. I've only ever owned belt drive and direct drive wheelbases but I have used the Logitech, yes you can drive with it but it's not a particularly informative experience. Get something better.

No. This product is being sold this year at a ridiculous high price. This is from 2015. It has really poor force feedback and a lot of weird noises. There are way more options nowadays, with fair prices. Look it up!

Ive had mine for nearly 3 years now and it does not make that noise and i have force feedback all the way
