The USA is being forced to control itself because China is selling off its treasury holdings in US dollars and not buying any more. Other countries are now also doing the same after the US weaponised the Trading Dollar and the Swift system. Now the US is buying its own debt which it cannot sustain without global impact.

It was possible to contain the Soviet Union because they contained themselves. They did not let foreigners in. They did not come out to the world to interact and trade. Why should any country cut their ties with China to please the US? Is the US offering to compensate those countries for their losses if they were to do so? Now American problem is they lost industrial base, and they have nothing to trade except weapons and overprinted money. I'm glad i had liquidated most of my major assets on the financial market at premium price before i call bad investment! The problem with the US economy today is that they underestimated China. Do you think it would be wise to liquidate assets? I don't think selling was the best move, despite the recession and the looming depression, because I'm a big proponent of economic growth. That might, however, be based on how you managed your risks.

@@joecaruso06 I'm not completely against selling now. True, many businesses would suffer losses as a result of the recession or even depression, but a boom always follows a dip. This is just another reason why financial preparation is crucial. Businesses who have planned ahead will succeed despite this. Consider how I was able to enhance my ROI this bear season by about 20% by following Yvonne Anette Lively's advice. To the best of my knowledge, it primarily involves knowing when to enter and exit a situation.

It is crucial for the us to control OPEC. If the us loses control of opec and opec does not require countries to purchase their oil and gas in dollars, the dollar plummets and the us is no longer able to print money as much as it wants. That is also why Saudi Arabia and other countries are scared to no longer require USD, because there might be a slew of regime changes...

Why should one country even be allowed to contain another? Such a country is just as evil if not worse than what they accuse others to be.

Containing China? The US is 25 years too late. How can you contain a country that is the biggest trading partner of 140 countries in the world, and the second largest trading partner of the remaining 50 countries? How do you contain a country that is by far the biggest manufacturing power in the world?

I have only been in China for one year, but during this year, I did not see a homeless person. China really feels like the future.most of people in the west can't even tell where Asia is , let alone the difference between Asian countries.A big challenge ahead but I hope you will succeed.But honestly, seeing is believing. China needs to be seen to find the truth that has been telling us all along. This speaks to the safety and honesty of people in China.China has even more people than US. Not to mention, minimal violent crime, strict drug laws and a law biding society. We all have a lot to learn from China!

Very deep and insightful observations on so many levels. I especially appreciate the one regarding Ambassador Gong while he was in DC. As an American, US showed itself disrespectful, immature, and ignorant. Unfortunately, DC seems to treat its own citizens the same way. So why does Americans hate ourselves?

The US spends more money on strategic think tanks than any country in the world yet gets the worst results.

The US has very little to offer countries in the emerging markets. The US economy is all about money laundering and has little to offer them in the way of goods and services that they need. The US devotes a huge amount of its GDP to making and selling arms to other countries while taking on under armed countries like Afganistan that can't fight back. US tax dollars go to maintaining the US hegemony while the rest of the world moves. It's very sad but it is what it is and the rest of the world is waking up to the fact that the US isn't a true friend to anyone.

Because the white have proven time and time again that they cannot work with others, only dictate to others.
