Is this still the BEST Free Amp Sim? I'm a big fan of it. Works really well for hi-gain with low tunings using the stock cabs and effects.

Great update, sound without glitching and artefacts , a few vst sellers should upgrade like Ml Sound their product Roots
i like roots, use it a lot for my other guitar player's d.i., for my own d.i. i tend to go with neural dsp soldano slo 100...both are excellent

I was using the amped roots and really dig the sound but I'm kind've at a stand still with it and (otherwise) I'm getting an insane low end that i'm struggling to fix. I think I'm going to have to do something with pickup height but I'm not sure. I had had them professionally installed to manufacturer spec but still struggling. Either way, awesome video man.

Have you tried an EQ after the Roots plugin to try cut out some of the lows and see if that improves it?

try a hi pass filter between 100-150Hz (play with the Hz til you like the tone)...should clean it right up
I like Roots a lot. I prefer the Rectifier model out of the bunch I find the EVH a little fizzy at times and the Peavey too wooly, I bought Bogrens Amp Knob and I really like that when I add my own stuff to it but due to my computer being super old it only works when the wind blows west and then it shreds the CPU and crashes and blue screens. Roots or any ML Soundlab stuff has no issue running however so I've stuck with Roots for my high gain. For cleans and ambience. Pod Farm 2 as I haven't found anything as glassy as that Piezoacoustic 2 model and the reverbs and delays are really spacious. You got a really nice tone out of that EVH, sounds nice and balanced.
How about compared to the Stevie T Djent God?
I cannot get a good sound out of this. It has a huge muddy low end and fuzz. I cant figure out if I'm doing something wrong. I am getting MUCH better sounds with TrueSim NaLex and VTARamps plugins
