Being terminally online, hyper fixated on woke politics while having unaddressed mental health issues is a deadly combination. Couple that with a society that not only accepts but embraces living that way, I'm not surprised that so many Gen Z adults are ageing like bread.

@@adaptivegamer9905 I never understood why do many young gen z women are so far left liberal and living the so called woke life. Also extreme feminism is changing young women too, I noticed when the girls go first year freshman college, they look normal and more feminine looking but after a year or more, they start to look mean, and more masculine, gain weight, shave their heads, dye their hair clown colors, they just looked totally unrecognizable. Some of them join the antifa groups too. I don't see much of this change with men, but a few of them join the woke program, or they become feminists social justice warriors, and strangely those guys looks changes too. I think the whole woke crap is a cult of it's own, changing people for the worse.

@@adaptivegamer9905 yup true. I've seen young freshman college kids especially women, when they enter first year college they look normal and feminine, after a year later with the embracing of woke politics and liberal feminist studies, the young women look different unrecognizable. Some of them aged a bit too, and their demeanor is mean, just angry all the time. I don't see this affecting young male students as much, but a handful of male freshman students became liberal feminists and they look effeminate. Not good, never trust male feminists. There's something about woke liberal policies that make people nastier and uglier and yes it can age your spirit and mind, and it shows physically.

If you get plastic surgery when youre young, you dont look like a young person anymore, you look like an older person trying to look young. Thats why that 22 year old looks like she's "45" as the commenter put it. In this way, specifically procedures like brow lifts and botox and even filler can, ironically, age you.

Now, I will eventually age, lose my hair, and even wrinkle. That's part of nature. Also, plastic surgery ages you even more. The amount of ignorance is astounding. The same people who want to look 18 are gonna be the same people who will get annoyed when old perverts hit on them. There are people who look their age, older & younger in every generation. The reason why it seems like Gen Z look older as a generation is because social media is hyper focusing on the group of Gen Z who look older and using that specific group of people to generalise the entire generation. Social media is not accurate representation since it leans towards the side of entertainment than factual and in general the content is exaggerated for the purpose of accumulating as many likes, comments and shares as possible to start trends and earn these content creators/ social media platforms revenue. At the end of the day, this is another stupid trend to grab our attention, and our attention is their currency.

so many people on the gen z side are upset about this is bc this convo on tiktok started by millennials stating that they look younger than gen z which is why many gen z are feeling insulted. some people look younger than they are, some older than they are and some look their age- i agree! millennials are typically the ones to look older than gen z simply bc they are older than gen z. (not a bad thing!!) i also think many gen z people are realising just how much their face has changed since them being teenagers (normal) and become often very insecure since that change of being a "fully cooked" adult isnt really talked about and our society has labeled any type of aging as bad.

We had the threat of global nuclear war, two world trade attacks, mad cow, and a host of other stressors, plus no one was pushing sunblock. The difference was how it was dealt with. Adults tended to want kids to stay kids and wouldn’t push them into taking on adult mindsets as early. We had recess and were expected to be physically active outside. We were expected to and allowed to fail in small ways so we could learn that it wasn’t the end of the world and how to move on from it. Also, we were taught personal responsibility, to fix what we had control of and hope for the best with everything else. It reduces anxiety.

Gen X and older millennials tend to laugh off offenses as we used to say harsher things to our friends and tend not to take ourselves seriously because we could screw up without it being tied to the Internet forever. We also don’t invite stuff just to be edgy because we’ve actually been punched or hard slapped at least once. Sleep and activity is a big indicator of how your skin looks too.

I doubt gen z as a whole looks older for their age(s) than any other generation. But people of any age and part of any generation will be more likely to look older if they don’t take care of themselves and/ or are constantly undear a lot of stress. Those factors are not unique to gen z. Also, imo, people definitely make themselves look older if they get a bunch of cosmetic work done on their face. Again, not exclusive to gen z. Also some people will just genetically be made to look younger or older. I think the only thing that gen z on average might currently be doing more than older people at the moment that might be exacerbating this sentiment, is being more constantly on social media in spaces that are hyper focused on appearance. So they don’t, overall look any older than they should, they’re just more likely to find themselves in spaces that draw unneeded attention and criticism towards looks.

When I was 10, people thought I was 14. When I was 14, people thought I was 17. Now I'm 17, people think I'm 21. Who cares 😂 I see it as a compliment. It means that something about me, the way I dress, speak, present, made me seem more mature and informed than others my age. That's a wonderful compliment. And personally, I'm looking forward to growing old with my future husband and children. It's such a privilege!

people like to believe the future is so far away but we are all living virtually. virtual values and a curated presence. it's almost like humans are evolving into a meaner less compassionate species because we all have a computer in our pocket that helps enable us.

I highly recommend erasa xep for wrinkles, makes them less noticeable. I used benzol peroxide for years for acne which has prevented wrinkles and I get told I look young often. Now I use retinol because bp gave me allergic reaction. Am 40 and wow aging is painful. It’s really that we get uglier is the problem. I want to forget about it all and not worry but it’s absolutely horrible. And I never felt like I looked good when young now those old photos look amazing.

😂 Vaping keeps me from getting respiratory infections when the air is dry. I started only to quit smoking but I like not getting sick, too. I've been at 0mg for a few years now. It's nice that I have it if I want and I'm not addicted. It has nothing to to with your physical appearance. ✌️😗💨

Nicotine free vapes aren't harmless a lot of the flavourings breakdown into free radicals when heated, free radicals literally rip the chemical structure of the lungs apart. Plus the oils can form formaldehyde when heated. The chemistry of vapes is worrying.

Its not the vape that prevents you from getting sick my guy. Vaping dries out your esophagus 💀 inhaling hot air (vapor) dries out the throat. Same with smoking but i will admit, the temperature of the vapor is lowered than cig smoke but still will dry the throat out. Vaping also *increases* the risk of respiratory infections. actually you can look this one up. Its called EVALI (electronic vape associated lung injury) and its not fake. Its a big issue with vaping. Thats not taking into account other ingredients that can cause popcorn lung, a second severe lung injury that vaping can cause. The DOCTOR said vaping contributes to looking older lol so just stop cuz you clearly arent knowledgable on health more than he is 😂 i bet you couldnt even tell me where the vagus nerve is without googling it. Or the femoral artery or the ulnar nerve for that matter. Smoking and vaping both harm your body. This is a provable fact. Further, it CAN make you look older. Doesnt mean it WILL just that it CAN. Btw, 0mg isnt rly that much better. Sure, you ditched the nicotine, but you’re still inhaling propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin, neither of which is good for you. On top of that, the heating element may be releasing nickel and other particulates of metal which are harmful to the lungs. All in all, your ignorance is astounding and you unwillingness to listen will only harm you, but dont go around spreading misinformation.

Vaping dries out your throat thru the heated air. EVALI is actually an illness that you get specifically from vaping. Metals, formaldehyde and the PG/VG used for the juices arent good for you to inhale either. Formaldehyde is what they use to embalm a corpse 💀 and you’re inhaling it

My brother is 8 years older than me. When he was in his young 20s, he’d have keggers in our backyard. Sometimes I couldn’t sleep through them so I’d go hang out. Most of his friends knew who I was but every now and again, one of his newer friends would not get the memo and ask me to drive them somewhere or ask how I knew my brother. That usually resulted in everyone laughing at their expense as I explained that I lived with him and then they put two and two together and realized my age. I’m 45 now and get mistaken for late 20s, sometimes early 30s. In my mind, it is how you wear your actual age that cues people. Do you seem worn and haggard or bouncy and energetic? What words do you choose and how do you dress? Lots of shortcuts in the brain to determining age.

I’m about to turn 30 but literally all of them in my family generations back look younger than our age until about two years ago. I was mistaken for being 19 constantly.. I think this whole like panic about aging is kind of hilarious, and terrifying. aging is normal and good and you should use that to mature and grow and change. Trust me you don’t want to be nearly 30 and still have people think you’re a teen teenager it’s annoying.

I see a lot of people of different generations who look older than their ages. I think it depends more on people's diet and if they drink or smoke that makes them look older. Especially those who drink and smoke, those gen xers, millennials and zers look way older than their age. I'm a millennial and I'm often told I look a decade younger than my age. Exercising will probably make people look younger, too.
