Dante defeated an alternative timeline version of Mundus who was the center of demon power in both Demon/Human realms and at Alt-Mundus' defeat, the whole timeline collapsed. Thats Dante's Universal feat right there and its backed up in lore with both Argosax and Mundus.

The Kaguya and Kamiya argument doesn't hold up. Kaguya was never even hinted to create her dimensions and the "destruction" of the singular dimension is questionable. It's a fallacious to say Kamiya trolls answers all the time as a fallback answer even though he does answer serious questions when he feels like it and it doesnt annoy him.

I will never power scale characters from the DMC verse since I think those characters (especially Dante) are rarely in situations that push their backs to the wall and get serious. Because of their ability to just slay demons with such ease with the loose description of power for these characters, I can only see these characters have a focus around how badass they are and that is why it's just so hard to scale them. Granted there are weapons that could help in scaling but even till then, that is probably the best concrete evidence displayed for them. Dante and Vergil have general weapon affinity and DT which is where I believe their true power lies. Bottok line is that I think that the badass characteristic is what they really are and can't be easily scaled.

Dante is universal. One Mundus created a whole parallel universe to fight Dante in. Universal. Even if you don't except that because we're using Kamiyas word as evidence then let me show you that I don't have to use that in order to prove that he is. One in the V manga, it's confirmed that Nightmare can destroy the demon world (the demon world isn't a planet, it's an entire universe at least). Dante defeats him, Griffon, and Shadow easily in base in DMC V (he almost certainly could do this even before he awakened sin devil trigger unless you believe V is stronger than Dante which V practically admits that he isn't by requesting his help. Another thing is that, in the DMC V's Urizen file (third form) it says that he can destroy the world (world can apply to universe instead of planet). Why can I confirm that it's referring to a universe? Arguably I can't but it's highly likely to be the case. Dante and Urizen fought in the Qliphoth tree which literally connected the demon world to the human world. It's like a dumbbell with the bells being the demon world and the human world and the bar being the tree. Assuming the demon world is a universe then Dante is universal as they were literally connected by the Qliphoth. Even if it's a planet (unlikely as the demon world is big enough to harbor entire subsections like the Fire Hell which Berial ruled over), it would be a multiplanetary feat at least. Remember Dante defeats Urizen pretty handily in that fight. I think that confirms that he's universal. Never is the demon world referred to as planetary. It almost always is used to seemingly imply a universe in size. Although I admit it isn't neccesarily definitive.

Probably, but the only real evidence is in DMC 5 where Dante and Vergil appear to be at an equal power level in their constant duel where neither one can steadily gain the lead over the other. Also in Mission 19, you fight Vergil as Dante to a draw since the battle continued, and only Nero gets a sure win over Vergil in Mission 20, which probably means he's scaled above both of them. Not 100% sure but it's highly likely

Well I'm at work so I'll try to keep this brief: 1. DMC1: Mundus creating a Universe, at the end of DMC1. 2. DMC1: The mirror world where Mundus's Demons could opperate: Nelo Angelo & The Nobodies. But the omniscient/omnipresent goddess status of time and space. Who can opperate in the Human Universe and Demon Universe in all games. Has no access to. Meaning Mundus created an entire different timeline/Universe. That the statue couldn't access it. And to reiterate no the Mirror World is not Hell/The Demon World. You dont get into hell until after you get through the Mirror World. 3. DMC2: Agrosax the Chaos after getting slightly unsealed not even fully unsealed. His mere presence. Brought the Demon and Human Universes Closer together. 4. It is stated in the Visions of V Manga that Nightmare was so powerful that it could "Lay Waste" to the Demon World/Universe. And Mundus feared he would destroy the demon world. So he bound its power. You can make the argument that Dante never beat Nightmare at full power. But he did at the end of DMC5. Even stating that demon themselves, understand that they stood no chance against him. And then beat them. As they were no longer bound to Mundus or V's conciousness. 5. It is stated that the Demon Tree which Urizen was sitting on created "All of life", in Nicos files. Meaning it created the two universes that the DMC Universe events take place in. And was literally pulling the two Universes together. Now if you ask why it didnt pull the two universes together immediately. It was because it was giving all its power and blood to Urizen/Vergil in his throne and to the fruit itself. 6. The Fruit That Urizen Ate > The Tree that Urizen was getting power From. This is stated by Nico where he breaks the root of the qlipoth tree as it was holding him back. And how when he ate the fruit Urizen became so power that he shook the foundations of the World/Universe. Stated in the Urizen Boss Files. - I don't have too long. So I can't get into all of them. But their is plenty. This doesn't include the weird statements from the DMC2 Light Novel. The only kind of things that Excalibur considers Universal level are the blunders such as playing football with skyscrapers and giant satellites in some of the over top franchises like Bayonetta rather than the streamlined depictions in DMC.

Also about mundus' dimension thing. The whole castle was under mundus' manipulation. He could shift however he liked.

Also, I know this has nothing to do with DMC, but I think that Base Sonic can considered to be at least multi-star level to at most low multi-solar system level due to him, with the help of the custom avatar and Classic Sonic, beating the Phantom Ruby powered Death Egg Robot. The Death Egg Robot was powerful enough to create a pocket dimension that contained a lot of stars in the 3rd and final phase of the final boss stage as shown in the link below: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yot3pKyopde8grA.html Furthermore, I actually think creating something could put a character to that level of AP as long as that character using some form of energy to create whatever he/she is creating, since AP is after all found by determining the gravitational binding energy of an object (since that’s the same amount of energy you need to destroy the object). For example, the Death Egg Robot is powered by the Phantom Ruby, meaning it uses energy from the Phantom Ruby for everything it does, including creating the pocket dimension in the final boss stage. One more thing, you should do Game Super Sonic vs Base Archie Sonic (Pre-Genesis Wave) for any of your next vs battles. It would be a very interesting vs battle to see.

I'll accept this power scaling. Also I think I remember reading that the human realm and the demon realm were once one and the same before being split in two. So in other words, a single dimension being turned into two. So if Argosax was fusing the two realms together; wouldn't that just simply mean they were returning the realms back to their original form? That that how you will. Another thing, Dante used devil trigger in cutscene in DMC2, but only so he could fly. So the only times he ever uses devil trigger is either when he is fighting a super strong opponent or needs it to fly but mostly for strong opponents. For the vs thing. Seeing as to how Dante sells off devil arms to pay bills, there is no telling what weapons Dante may still have. I mean, the prequel novel thing to DMC5 shows that Dante still had past weapons such as the original Cerberus and Artimis, so we at least know he keeps certain ones for rainy days but we can at least assume he'd still have the ones from DMC5, due to now not needing to sell them. He'd definitely still have Quicksilver and Doppelganger. Definitely don't give him Yamato since it isn't his. You should definitely look into more DMC media for Dante incase there might be something to note. I mean DMC5 basically canonized the first novel. So the other stuff may be just as canon. Canon but with details slightly changed to better fit where contradictions may arise. Anyways I enjoyed the video. (Something I'd like to see power scaling/vs videos of is of the Godzilla from the cartoon Godzilla the series, aka Zilla Jr as known by godzilla fans.)

No, the dmc universe was once infinite darkness but then a separate dimension of light grew inside that darkness, becoming the mortal realm, they're both equal (and half of infinity is still infinity). So Mundus creating universes with like a few billion galaxies would still work, given it's in an infinite verse. Argosax merging the realms would be a high tier universal+ feat and Sparda separating them for good would be equivalent. Considering Dante in base is more powerful than Sparda now, means Dante should be in that level of power.

Earth established inside that zone after that . While in demon realm it's nothing but darkness after that small and big land masses started to form where structure started to built and de.ons started to live (this happens slightly before cosmic ray stuff.

The Light Novels are now just supporting evidence to confirm that, the Devil May Cry characters are Universal. Because later I'm pretty sure that Devil May Cry is going to be apart of many more debates. And people are going to reference this current video to many to try and debunk these theories. @@Shiobana753 Dude the fact that the devs thought that Dante is strong enough to hang with those characters says something. They wouldn't put Batman in an SMT game for example. Btw I can confirm that the devs do think about power scaling in their game design as Itsuno confirmed that his team had reservations about making Nero's breaker arm stronger than his DT bringer in dmc v (damage wise) saying that they thought it didn't make sense story wise. They did it for the sake of game design. So they do consider these things. They put Dante in SMT and thought that he was so strong that he could toy with the main character and never use his DT thoughtout the game. Says something.

Marvel and DC characters face the same problem. When Thor battles someone somewhere else away from Earth, when he tries to strike someone with Mjolnir, he ends up breaking a planet as a SIDE EFFECT. When he battles someone on Earth, the Earth remains completely intact because of.....logic.

@@Oreo_166 In fact, TP Link is pretty powerful too, since he defeated Zant who created the Zant Hands (indestructible creatures) made to contain the Sols of the Twilight Realm. Which Midna defined a single Sol is like the Sun of Hyrule. Which Zant casually has locked up in separate parts of the Twilight Realm... yet Link defeated him and then bested Ganondorf in Battle, who's a more powerful threat than Zant. Imagine the amount of tops that would be popped off, if FF7 fanboys learned of these feats.

Kamiya confirmed the universe created was the size of our own. Even if not, each star is another solar system in Mundus's dimension. And lowballing "dwarf star" is still solar system level. Our solar system has a dwarf star. According to your information he'd be at least galactic. Though I believe the creators didn't know what they were doing when they implied his universal feats.

Also I would realy like a Finn (adventure time) vs Link (legend of Zelda) video. Finn gets realy underrated when it comes doun to power skaling. Finn is at least planet level+ and faster than light in my opinion. He defeated the ice king more times than i can count and the ice king could freeze the planet. and beat Orgalorg whos title is crusher of worlds. And reacted to and dodged the iceapeeds lasers making him at least light speed.

Joshua Hughes I would say he is Moon to planet level at the begining of the series. So in the begining finn skales to or above the ice king. Jake states that he is 10 times stronger than finn. Making Jake (begining) multy planet level. Finn (with the finn sword witch dubles his power and speed) basicly fuses with Jake into the Jake suit. Than Susan strong beats Jake suit Finn. But the gras sword than comes to life and dominates Susan. Fern is phisicly the gras sword with his conciousness being a nother realitys finn so hes as strong as the gras sword. And end of series Finn is around ferns level. Making end of series Finn high multy planet to dwarf star level in my opinion.

Here i thought dante was complex multiversal due to what the creator says about the fodder demon's being universal and he kills them with little to no difficulty since he beats alot of multiversal characters

Godfrey 44 that doesn’t matter, he’s literally the creator, he could say “Dante and Nelo Angelo had a lot of sexual tension” and unless there’s some sort of evidence that he’s just dicking around, we’d have to take his word for it. Like, if we’re talking about DMC3-5, sure he’s an unreliable source since he has nothing to do with those games. But his universal statement was directly answering a question about DMC1, not to mention that when Kamiya is trolling, it’s always pretty obvious. With the Mundus statement, he was just answering the question like a normal person, and he’s done that with other questions as well, this idea that Kamiya is always goofing when he tweets is so aggravating because he ACTUALLY tells you how strong Mundus is but people always use the faulty debunk of “oh he’s known for trolling, since he’s trolled in the past, he’s trolling now. Even though there’s nothing to suggest he’s trolling and he doesn’t always troll, this is still a troll”. It’s like, no, he answered a question. End of story. Whether you wanna put a ton of stock into it or not, it’s up to you, but as it stands, the creator of DMC1 said that Mundus was creating entire universes. Also, I think I’ve heard arguments that prove Dante is low multiversal, I’m not sure though, i haven’t read all the manga/novels.

I think dante can be scaled to solar system level plus on the high end on the high end and planetary on the low end, im glad some people have actually given a serious look at this debate. Its a bit of a dumb argument to make but I feel like alot of people take certain wording too seriously with Beowulf’s whole small supernova thing. I don’t care what anyone says, that is the biggest exaggeration I’ve ever seen. if thats the case every single enemy that can withstand a hit from it is capable of surviving a supernova which is pretty nuts for low level demons. Thats just my view on the matter though, I just feel like people really shouldn’t take certain things at face value. Just because a description says Something (especially in video games) doesn’t mean shit unless you see that action performed.

It’s Unlikely someone will see this comment but...since Vergil has a sword that can cut through dimensions...& Dante having bested Vergil in combat multiple times..even though Vergil wields a weapon that can CUT THROUGH DIMENSIONS...shouldn’t by (Excalibur’s explanation & points he displayed in the video) come to the conclusion that Dante’s power is DIMENSIONAL? Or am I thinking too much into it...

Vergil cutting through dimensions just means his sword is above space and time when cutting. Assuming dante can tank attacks from it without much damage then he either has the ability to negate durability negation or he's 4th dimensional+

Both Super Sonic(s) were on equal footing with their Perfect Chaos(s) but only one of them was capable of defeating the other by himself... and that was Game Sonic. Thus making Game Sonic more competent than Archie Sonic.

Awesome idea! Also, Excalibur should do Game Super Sonic vs. Archie Base Sonic (Pre-Genesis Wave) as a vs. battle sometime. Both can be considered to universal+ in AP (though Game Super Sonic can be considered to be higher than that).

I don't know why people are so obsessed with Dante being universal. A lot of people would kill just to be Multi Solar System level. Who cares if he isn't on Goku's level in terms of pure power, this has got to be the MOST powerful I've EVER heard of Dante being! I love this video for giving me a power range as best as you could give with the information that you managed to find, even if there are people who disagree. Besides, DMC isn't a power scaling universe at the end of the day. It's a world where you've got badass with epic weapons running around merking shit and if they happen to be able to rock planets...then more power to them...metaphorically, of course.

Almost one definitive point is that dante defeated Nightmare who was stated in game lore to be strong enough to destroy the demon world which doesn’t sound that impressive until you realize the demon world in DMC is INFINITE. Making nightmare a infinitely powerful being…. Which dante defeated. No matter how you look at it Dante is crazy strong regardless.

The one test that this doesn't pass for me is the practical application test. Let's assume Dante and Vergil are Multi-solar system level. In their fight at the end of DMC5, it is quite reasonable to say they were going all out. If something with the force to destroy multiple solar systems was occurring on Earth, wouldn't Earth be destroyed? All it would take is one dodged attack to strike the planet and "oops, no more human world". We could also look at "anti-feats": If Dante is planet level, why does he need to climb the Qliphoth tree at all? Couldn't he just attack the base of the tree and cause it to collapse? I don't think Argosax's world fusing feat can be attributed to striking power or durability. It seems more likely that he opened a world spanning portal between the human world and the demon world.

Hmm one it's because they can control their power you don't see dragon Ball characters destroy planets in their battles heck even vegito vs zamasu barely destroyed the city they were fighting in SMT characters don't destroy the multiverse despite that they showed and stated multiple times that they can do that Also argosax didn't need a portal to fuse cuz literally if opening a portal was the reason the they would have merged long time ago cuz in DMC5 novel before nightmare it stated that dante found many opening portals and that how he escaped from hell because of those portals but it didn't merge anything

@@drexli7498 PIS only applies when a character DEMONSTRATES certain capabilities and suddenly "forgets" they can do that. Dante has NEVER demonstrated even planetary level feats, and there are plenty of anti-feats showing he has lesser power. I honestly don't care what lore or plot says a character is capable of, if they don't ever show any feats above a certain level AND they have anti feats that imply they are not that level, then they are not that level. Either the writers are exaggerating to make their characters seem more powerful than they are, or the in game lore source is not reliable. Show me Dante destroying the Demon World, something that he could supposedly do if he was Universal, something he has had numerous chances to do, and something that would be in character for him to do, unless he likes killing demons more than saving human life, which I'm pretty sure is not in character for him. At least in DBZ there was a fight where the combatants were starting to unravel the fabric of reality due to the strength of their attacks. That, and people DO on occasion actually blow up planets. Furthermore, creation feats are meaningless to scale off of. Just because you have the ability to create a universe, doesn't mean you have enough striking power to destroy that universe or the durability to survive that universe being destroyed. There is a reddit thread entitled "Devil May Cry characters are not universe busters - debunking the wank" that explains this in GREAT detail.

@@drexli7498 Mundus only created a universe if you take the words of Kamiya seriously, and if you do, then he has also stated that you shouldn't, so it's not a feat. Mundus could have easily just teleported Dante to another part of Hell or created an illusory backdrop for the fight. I'm not aware of Pluto, but that feat would fall under a creation feat, which has zero bearing on Dante's striking power or durability. Sparda sealed the Demon World with a ritual spell involving the Yamato, his blood, and a human priestess. This does not equate in any way to striking power or durability, and is therefore irrelevant. The human world and Demon world are not confirmed to be universes, as the Japanese word for universe is also the same word for world, and other games have called the human world "Earth" meaning they are planets in separate dimensions, not universes. Again Argosax's feats do not equate to striking power or durability, and are therefore irrelevant. Wasn't familiar with the Beastheads, so I looked them up. They have the power to SEE the past, present, and future, and the ability to show that to someone else, but it will likely cause them to go insane. Nothing about them being able to warp reality, or that such reality warping equates to striking power or durability. I don't recall Nightmare being stated to be THAT powerful, but even if he was, he was sealed when Dante fought him. Not familiar with Mundus' feat where he stops the omniscient deity from being able to see into a dimension, but, as stated earlier this doesn't equate to striking power or durability. (Also, "god" means MANY different things depending on the context of the verse. It could mean anything from "all powerful" to "stronger than the average mortal.") I'm not impressed by the Qliphoth fruit. It was stated to have given Mundus his powers and Mundus was killed by DMC1 Dante. Don't remember anything about the qliphoth fruit shacking all of existence, but seeing as the human world survived that, it couldn't have been any more that planet level. Yeah, Dante killing innocent people in the anime just makes me think that the anime is not canon, or that there was no alternative, i.e., Dante did not have the capability of saving those people. All of your points involve wild speculation about irrelevant feats. I want to see destructive feats. Show me Mundus, Dante, Vergil, or anyone in the DMC verse destroying something larger than a city. Not tainting it with Demonic Energy, or merging/splitting dimensions, ACTUAL destructive feats.

To believe Dante is Universal level I'm gonna say no he's not judging by the history and background of the Underworld and human world in DMCverse is only mentioned World which is the planet so planetary level Dante is at least, likely Star level post DMC 5.

@@wanted_melon2348 i actually do know the verse as I've been playing DMC since 2005-2019. I think i at least know enough to properly know and determine that they are not destroying a planet because that not how it works, sure you can say they have the Attack Potency but again it goes back to my question...Vergil who is Dantes equal if not stronger than him has clashed with Rocket launchers and it didn't instantly bisect it. If he was truly that powerful or anywhere near that he would be able to instantly do that. Granted he was worn down and it was stated that he was worn down but come on let use common sense...even if we say he was down to 10% of his power or less he should be more than capable of doing that.

your universe feat you are talking about is the beasthead which is said to be a space-time or whatever. even if we accept that, that actually only 1 Universe feat...Not multiple. you next Argument would be about the Savior from DMC 4 having multiple universes inside of it...too that I say that's not quantifiable because we don't know how big those dimension is. as the content creator said If the universe of DMC was that high and the battle was suppose to be on that scale why haven't said battle reach pass the earth? I may not have been playing when the series first stated in like 2000-2001 but that doesn't mean i don't know just as much since there is only a 4 year difference from when the game first started and when i first started playing the games.

Dante fought Urizen who created his own universe to fight Dante, while he was using his dads Devil Trigger form and beats him, having fought Argosax some years later and single handedly while being bored the whole time which was the only fight that gave him amusement after having crippling depression(no joke "killing" your brother will do that to you), then he fought Urizen the demon half of his older brother whichs is a lot stronger than the demon kings he have fought in the past and defeats them after unlocking his sdt which has the capabilities to open up black holes. yes planet level I agree

@@gamechanger8908 We don't know for sure if Urizen actually created a universe it could've been an illusion, as for Argosax while yes Dante did defeated him however he did it in the Demon World which in that world demons are far more powerful (that also applies to his fight with Urizen and Mundus as well), oh and as for his creating "black holes" powers in his SDT form those "black holes" are nowhere near as powerful as actual black holes they are only for sucking enemies it doesn't suck entire worlds let alone stars.
