building isn't that hard. it's choosing the parts that would work best with each other and making sure everything would fit in the case is the hard part for the beginner.

Can you actually show the cabling attachment, it’s the most difficult part for non tech people, whereas just showing fitting cpu, gpu, ram etc is relatively straightforward.

A bit of advice when building a computer with multiple people present. Never hand a bare computer component directly from one person to another. Static electricity is a part killer, and just the difference in static charge between two people can be enough to fry a stick of memory or a drive, or even a motherboard or video card if you're particularly unlucky (though parts like that do tend to be a bit more robust). If another person needs to take it from you, set it down for them to pick up. Needless to say, try to avoid working on a computer while on carpet, too. About resetting the CMOS by removing the battery, you'll also want to have the motherboard powered off and removed from all power (unplug it from the power supply) because many motherboards will still pull enough of a trickle from the PSU to keep the CMOS clock running even with the battery removed. Another reason to start the build outside of the case (which they didn't do here) is to boot it at least once with everything plugged in to make sure all your components work. Unfortunately, while the rates are low, parts do sometimes fail right out of the box. It's a lot easier to troubleshoot while everything is still laid out on the table than with it all installed in the case. Even if you do install it all in the case before the first time you turn it on, definitely do some testing before you start cable management. (One of the reasons to test before putting it in the case is so you can do cable management _as_ you install each component.) Trust me, you don't want to go through all the effort of installing all your parts just to have to take it all apart again because you forgot to properly install an M.2 drive or a cooler backplate or something similar, or because you got a bad stick of RAM.

I am going to be real honest here. If you have done your research and watched a ton of build guides then you can be confident that you can successfully build a PC however do not be fooled by videos like these, you wont finish it in like 2-3 hours, my first build took me 2 evenings to do simply because i got stuck with my components, mainly trying to get the standoffs for the aio bracket installed on the motherboard, and also you dont have an expert PC builder right next to you to help you when you are stuck. You have to look through manuals over and over again to find out what you need and how stuff goes together, it seems easy when you see a lot of builds but there are intricacies which can slip you up, and as i said before you dont have someone who knows basically how every variation of a pc part gets installed. Also if you have RGB that can increase the complexity. Let me tell you aswell installing a GPU for the first time is not as easy as it looks

  • @JJFlores197

I have never built a pc before, then all a sudden i decided to spend 3 grand on a new build for myself, and 2 grand on my wifes. shes 1080P gamming and im 1440P gamming. but i built two completely new pc's first try, updated bios even, set up xmp profiles, installed windows too. 3 months in no issues on first boot. all of this is because i keep watching PC centric. your videos are awesome, the way you handle the components made me less afraid, because i see there not as fragile as i was thinking lol. anyone that is wants to build a pc i think can easily do it, just have to be patient, calm, and abit careful. Installing the cpu was my most stressful part. tiny little pins on these 7800X3D cpu's .

Just re-built using this case, very impressed with the access during the build process removal of panels is so easy. One point with your build that concerns me is you are extracting hot air over the radiator that is cooling the cpu, hence your high cpu temperatures. I installed an AMD wraith prism air cooler, temperature of the cpu max is between 55c - 60c running 4K ultra settings.

While I don't like that AIOs don't last as long and are a bigger pain to install, I like that I can get less noise for the amount of cooling, plus there is less total weight on the motherboard.

RAM: 2x16GB CORSAIR(any othe suggestions here?) It looked like all 3 rad fans, 3 side fans, and 1 rear fan are all exhaust (just based on normal fan design/orientation) Assuming the 2 bottom are intake? I am going to be building in a Y60 soon. I plan to have the 3 120mm rad fans and the rear 120mm fan exhaust and I am using 2 140mm side and 2 140mm bottom fans as intake. Looking for confirmation.

For any rando (including kids or old grandmas or people with no assistance) new to PCs it IS hard to build one. For a 20-something geek it's easy. I dislike when ppl say a PC is 'adult lego' bc if you don't use the right PSU, you can cause a fire... A lego set can't start a fire. Beginners are best buying prebuilt, then learn through upgrading. Later when they're more educated & invested in the hobby, they can build a better PC. This is the most logical & safest approach for a beginner.
