Get real, there's no reason to not spend 80$ more for the 4080 Super right now to get all the bells and whistles, even if you don't use them that much, you will just get our money back when you will resell the GPU and DLSS on Quality is literally free performance at 4K.
That's basically what I built for myself 2 months ago. Differences I can see is that I went with MSI Tomahawk motherboard, MSI branded 7900XTX, MSI 1000Watt PSU, Arctic Liquid Freeze 3 360 and the case is Aerocool Dryft V2. It runs like a dream on both Windows and Linux, and I only use 1440p for gaming.
Nice build!

I switched to a new case a few years ago. My only advice is get one that's easy to open and upgrade and a case that doesn't require you to use tools would be much easier to handle. Your next case should be as easy and user-friendly as possible for opening and putting things in and out.

Can you please provide a brief video for the motherboards, it is the only part of pc and pc building for which i am confused about which and what is better, affordable, expensive, not worth, kind of stuff
That case!! It's enormous😂😂
I love this channel, it's so gloriously Britishly eccentric, and I'm sure you realised that years ago when the channel was born. But, I would encourage you to allocate a little part of your daily routine to some hand-weights, nothing OTT, but just carry them around the house with you whenever you walk about, and give them an occasional heft now & then. Nothing dramatic, but the effect might surprise you.

With the exception of Avatar unobtanium at 8K I have never spilled over on the 24GB of VRam. I don't know how long it will be this way but dropping to 1440 in a few years I am confident this PC will game for a very long time, my games or someones.
Faina carcasa și cred cai ieftina 👍
Some 90 and 180 degree connectors would seriously improve the visual cable management at the front. At that price point I would, personally, insist on them.
Also, what desktop pc rig would you buy, please only build the best value for money vs the best all round performance if possible please?
Beware, the 7900xtx (and probably smaller 7000) have a bad case of pump out. You should watch the hotspot temperature instead of the average temp. Hotspot between 80 and 85 is good, under 80 is excellent. If the delta between average and hotspot is 20+, you are victim of pump out. In CP2077, in a 25c room, in a AP201 case, the GPU at 375w and 1500rpm (still quiet enough to play without headphones) after 15 minutes, the average temp is 63, the hotspot is 80. If i undervolt, overlock the ram and put -10% power, the hostpot goes down to 75c at 340w. Giving me room to make the GPU stealthy under full load. To solve (hopefully) the pump out, i applied honeywell PTM7950 on the core. It is a very thin thermal pad that gets softer when heated and harder when cooled. Meaning it will (hopefully) not be pushed to the sides with metal expansion and contraction. These are my recommendations after around a year of use. PS : Pump out was so bad i had 90+c hotspot and the delta between average and hotspot was 25+c. I don't want my giant 1K$ GPU killed by heat.
“and that is a very thick piece of glarse” 😂
That shit look fresh as hell
nice build!. your videos help me a lot. what Cable Extension Kit? just bought the same motherboard/GPU/PSU- from your video. changing out the case to a fractal torrent. CARDEA A440 SSD/TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert Overclocking 10L DDR5 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) 6000MHz (PC5-48000) CL30. 1 Corsair SP120 Elite in the back of case.
This might be a dumb set of questions but I'll ask anyway. The NVME cover for the motherboard acts as a heatsink. Would an SSD with a pre-installed heatsink run cooler? Would it fit in the slot and if so, would it cause clearance issues when you install the GPU?
Can you put memory junction tempeand junction temp as well that would be good to see if that asus cooler is any good
did u think about making it in the dual chamber stuff so we can see it
What are the adapters you used for the 2 wires?
I've been questioning whether or not to go with AIO or custom cooling kit and set up my own. The kits are 4 to 550 us. Does water cooling increase the longevity of the GPU enough to make the cost worth it?
You are very smart.
Yesssss.
No one does destiny 2 for benchmarks, but that is my game of choice, and I upgraded to Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx and 7800x3d, and at 1440p I get 200+ frames on the highest settings… I wonder why your results seem a little lackluster by comparison

So I recently built a new pc but a couple small issues I have been having that I can't figure out. I had to transfer some data from my old pc which was on a sata ssd. On my new build I have 2 nvme drives only. But the first issue I have is that my drives won't show up unless I have the csm enabled so I can't use resizebar. Also I had for a little while where my pc would try to access a background file or something and then just freeze. I may just back up some files and then just format my drives or something to see if that works.

You most likely installed Windows in BIOS mode (as in had UEFI boot disabled and CSM (legacy BIOS) exclusively enabled). I believe there's a way to convert a BIOS install to a UEFI install within Windows, but I've never done it. I'm pretty sure there are guides out there on how to do this. If you want to do a clean install in UEFI mode, you will need to make sure that CSM is disabled and that UEFI mode only is enabled. You may also need to make sure that Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 (for W11) are enabled. Once you boot into the Windows installer, press Shift+F10 to open a command prompt window and type in the following commands: DISKPART LIST DISK

@Spigget_1.0 ok I would want you to have more then what you need for longevity and look at comparisons on youtube, reddit etc for all of the parts so you can decide the best products for your use case. For the cpu you can go with the 13700k or the 13900k or the 14700k or the 14900k or if you want to go with amd the 7700 up to the 7950x3d. For the motherboard a z790 or for amd a x670 motherboard. For the storage I would say the 4tb 990 pro ssd. For the cooling I would go with the 360 thermalright aio they are a good cost to performance. You may have to upgrade the psu to 1,000 watts depending on the cpu you choose but the 850 watt should be good. I have the 2023 rm1,000e corsair power supply with my 4090/ 7800x3d build. The ram will be cl30 6,000mhz 2x16 for 32 gigs for intel. I just bought cl30 amd expo 2x16 but 4 sticks for a total of 64 gigs so I won't get the recommended speed but I like the complete look on the motherboard.
1.48V look's quiet wild to me....
Im surprised you didn't break anything this time 😶
Is asus still a good recommendation after there rma issues?
Can these components work smoothly with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU instead?
Anyone else a little annoyed that he kept doing upscaling? Goes against the premise of the video.
I have the same combo
If you are dead set on ignoring upscaling tech, then definetly don't run the majority of settings at ultra. Often, ultra settings are just resource hogging versions of the high setting with a small, barely noticeable improvement visually. There are some exceptions and it varies game by game. Sometimes a specific ultra setting is better looking and has 0 impact on performance but its less common.
@Roll_the_Bones

Get you as far as single-player is concerned, why wouldn't you? But, for multi-player gaming, that sort of tech can be wasted money, if you don't use it, and want to be careful with the budget. Which is what Centric explained at the start. He's done so many Nvidia builds, it's quite interesting to see what top-end AMD can do for competitive players.
Well, turning on FSR3 frame generation in Starfield 1440P on my 6700XT PC never causes CTD.

7950X is a pure nonsense for gaming at least. If you want to get something reasonable 7600X is very good at the price, if you want the best 7800X3D is the best option. But 7950X ? Why would you need 16 cores for gaming ? Six core CPU that is recent like aforementioned 7600X will do just fine even for fastest GPUs for most of games and eight core X3D CPU will give you as good as it gets gaming performance. 7950X is not only inferior to 7800X3D it's also way more expensive for basically no benefit unless you need all those cores for something other than gaming but that contradicts the video title.
