Couldn't agree more. It is the PGA or media (Golf Channel) that potray Bryson as the bad guy. They just need to find someone to target as to make certain players, like a shinning angel that we all need to pray and bow to. And you just repeated that narrative, gotta ask yourself sometimes...'are we the baddies?'

This whole Bryson hatred seems to be media contrived more than fan perception. When Bryson was bombing driver at Bay Hill, I was a fan and entertained. When he got up and down on Sunday, I was a fan and entertained. These media personalities just go out of their way to develop heroes and villains to create a story and hope the gullible fall for it.

The PGA treated Bryson how they treated Moe Norman back in the day. They pushed him aside because of his quirkiness. They bullied him about his speech, the clothes he wore, his crooked teeth.... even the pros of his days admitted it. That's the main reason why he chose to play most of his years in Canada.

Once the media labels you and the others follow the narrative without getting to know Bryson, the mental grind either toughens you to push further or you just give up. What you guys miss is that Bryson's journey is almost heroic overcoming adversity through perseverance and focus with integrity. Bryson had to be self aware of himself as Brooks chided him. With introspection and being critically honest he learned what was important and moved ahead. When a pro has reached celebrity status and receives adulation from the media then the ability to handle misfortune and recover is a test of character. The US Open brought that issue to the forefront and it has been a long time in coming.

With the US Open on the line! And that's not the only time, there's at least one other very recent time he stopped a guy from stealing a souvenir ball from a kid, during a competitive round. There should be a discount with a no return policy to order straight from the main manufactures websites and cut out the retailer. We cut them out all the time and still pay what you would in a store...why. I'll take the risk that I know what I want/need. Stores offer in hand trial and returns/exchanges...if not using those, why pay for it. The manufacturer would still be making the same margin...possibly more even with a discount.

Great article by Sally Jenkins in Washington Post about what a phony BD is. First he has had a personality transplant that is to be applauded by interacting with the fans. However when he sits there post round and talks about reuniting the two tours for the "Fans" he fails to admit that he along with the several dozen other defectors they created this problem in the first place and are doing nothing to make concessions to unite the tours. Secondly when he invokes Payne Stewart as why he wanted to win this tournament at Pinehurst he fails to recognize Payne had more integrity in his little finger than any of the LIV golfers and that Payne would have roundly condemned these defectors for creating this "them and us" dilemma that may never be solved and screwing the fans from seeing the very best play together. Lastly, he is now an employee of the Saudi Arabian government that now own him financially, morally and ethically. So please don't fly your patriotic flag with disappointment when you can't play in the Olympics for the USA. I am sure the Saudis will be more than willing to let you be their flag bearer as you walk into the Olympic stadium for the opening ceremonies.
