IS BIGGER ALWAYS BETTER? | work, couple builds, tiny house, homesteading, off-grid, rv life, rv |
Hello everyone. Welcome back to DD5! This video was recorded BEFORE FREEDOM WEEKEND. This was the last work project that we were working on before leaving for Mississippi. This was the BIGGEST PINE TREE to come down here on The Landing. Was it scary? Yes! Thankfully, we has some assistance with making sure it went down as planed... OR DID IT???

❤👋👋👋👋Hello everyone before you comment anything about why is mike doing this and that because of his accident....please pay more attention in beginning of the video. There is a big disclaimer in the beginning. Stating this was before freedom weekend and before Mike's accident. Also this is not a repeat this is the reat of our clearing land for this area. Now you may feel like that because some of you might have seen junk to Gem's vlog of this day. Its unfortunate that we have to explain any more then what we already have. Watch the video before commenting. It will save us a headache and you wasting time on a comment that shouldnt even be a issue.

Glad that tree is gone. Scary watching it come down. No more worries. Take care❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸✌️
Yes having a bigger chainsaw is better. Cuts faster because has more power plus a bigger bar & chain. The landing has changed so much since David cut the road in. Great job everyone. ❤❤
Whew! Butt puckering is an understatement 🤣💪... Great job 👍❤..I'm so glad Gary was able to help ❤️...

Hope you are feeling better Mike! Glad to see trees being stacked for later use! The pines are great to use for projects! They just can't be in contact with the ground unless they are treated/water sealed. Day by day!!!

With the price of lumber any tree you use on your land saves money small trees build great wood sheds and I have built shelters for animals I love it when people use resources and don't waste natures gifts

Mike, I recently told you about OFF GRID WITH JAY AND JEN and their approach to rainwater catchment. He released a video today on building budget Solar System. They still use Sealed Lead Acid batteries, because the Lithium batteries are difficult to charge in cold weather. It almost has to be a heated room to charge them in the Winter. Lots of good info. You aren't poor, but putting a permanent system together would be hard with all the other projects! Jay and Jen were the same way. They have been there and done that! Give a listen! ❤❤

My boyfriend has passed away awhile ago miss his something awful after so many years but he had a huge woods and for most of his life anyway sence he was old enough cut huge trees down sold the wood and I watch the most scariest times ,m9ve that wood many times hailed it from woods to farm in snow mobile slay and he took care of the state ground across the lake of his land and we did the same cut up fallen trees would bring to his land across frozen lake snow mobile and plant for the wild life in the spring and cut more tree then if fallen over the trail s been there don't that so try to sell what wood you can there's great money in it instead of burning up stiff tgst can be used fir heat and fir campers be smart

Yea I think Mike’s ribs and all are feeling lots better the way he kept yanking on that rope around the tree. Plus he was able to use a chain saw as well. I wonder if this was before they went off where he got hurt because Kevin and Jayme came over to help put up the chicken pen and he said he couldn’t help do it. Plus they didn’t say they still had trees to come down. Yea I think this was before he got hurt, I think. Anyways if not it’s good he’s lots better though. Matter effect I think this is a repeat.

Hey there Liam 👋
Hello 🤗 Mike, you & Gary are doing an awesome job cutting down the trees- little nervous when you were up in the claw with the chain 😵💫 Good editing Lyssa 😉
Good to see you getting things done, when operating the loader you need to get the load evenly situated because when it's hanging long ways off the front you'll twist the loader arms and they will never be the same , also keep the outrigger for the backhoe up all the way if you catch something it won't be pretty.
My sister had Huskies, they will dig to China. She had to dig down into the ground a foot then put the fence down in concrete, good luck
Good job Mike… Tqvm Gary, you ROCK! Sending love❤❤❤❤

The more trees you take down, the better you’ll get at it. Eventually when the lumber mill is working again those logs will be gold. ❤

Now Im thinking you need a log cabin lol
Looks like a lot of good wood. Winter will be here before you know it. You can use some for road or build a cabin that would be fun. Just saying.
This is just suggestion I know it's been very very hot there as it is here in Miami with your dogs outside like they are Why don't you get like buckets from Lowe's or Home Depot cut them in half and fill them with water So your dogs always have water not waiting little little bowl to be filled with water water is a necessary thing was humans and animals spinach extremely extremely hot and probably out in was breathing hard like he was because he's hot even squirting them off at the hose once in a while would be nice too just the suggestion not a criticism have a blessed day

Tree fallers know their hand signals, and if one guys start to run, i think you'll know what to do there too 😂. Better option is to wear the safety gear. Chains saws are real hard on the hearing, as are some high powered riding lawn mowers (mine). I someone forget until my ears start ringing, not good.
Alyssa, I love the music at the beginning. I’m still watching it.
Going to look like a park
❤
Mike, I don't want to insult you or make you mad, but as I watched you on TV it come to mind you were a dead ringer for Jim Varney the guy that played 'Earnest' on TV and in the movies. Anyway, you are doing a wonderful job on getting your place ready. Hope you are getting over your accident on your bike. Take care guy's.
Looks like you should take out that other tree that's leaning. Yicks
