G’day Mike. Just a tip to assist you. The Electric fence cable connectors you were knocking into the posts. Get a drill bit half the size of the nail and do a pre drill to make knocking in easier. Second tip use a pin or a half inch bolt to knock the nail in. Gives you an easier target and less likely to knock your fingers off. Cheers mate. Ken Australia 🇦🇺

I like the electric wire for the fence. I think I'm going to look into that. I put welded wire on the ground all the way around the fence and tacked it down the stakes. Kept my dog from digging out but then she decided to chew through the welded wire that is up on the fence. I went out and bought 12 horse panels and put that over the welded wirde but would have been a lot easier if I would have gone with the electric.

We had two huskies and they dug under the fence and climbed or jumped the fence. We connected chicken wire to bottom of fence and went down 2 feet and when they started jumping the fence had to put them on a chain inside the pen.The electric wire didn't phase them. We hated to put them on chains but had no choice we were aware of. Good luck!

Up to y’all but as I was watching when Mike was stripping out that extension cord that it looked pretty sunny over at the chicken coop. Could you hang it up towards the top to where it faces the sun. I don’t think any of the chickens will be going up there and that way you don’t have to risk constantly running it over risking damaging it or getting it to where it doesn’t work possibly. Just a thought. Unless it just happened to look sunny over there and it isn’t sunny enough. Just a thought guy’s.

In Italian villages when a death occured in the house, a black crepe wreath was hung on the front door to signify the death and everyone acted accordingly. So by extension, some people are born natural Bearer's Of Bad Tidings. Thought I would share with you my parent's favorite phrase.
