    Full disclosure the whole reason I started working out in high school was because of bullies...I was a fat kid with Urkel glasses...Prime target... I was bullied daily. Physically and menially. I started working out just to be left alone... Did it work? Ya, and I'm glad I did, but I would never want someone to go through what I did for the sake of fitness, so when Myron says we need to bring back bullying, that totally triggered me.

    People saying "You're fat because no self control" are the same who look at someone with depression and say "just be happy". They've never had to deal with hardships of any magnitude and if they have and overcome it they believe that their solution should be everyone's solution. Also most of us bodybuilders are "obese" by all metrics. Your body carrying around a crap ton of muscle vs a crap ton of fat isn't overall healthy too beyond the drugs and stuff some people take. Being 280lb and jacked as hell is still taxing the crap out of your heart and system!

    100% a choice. I have every excuse those who say "they can't lose weight" use. I'm disabled; severe spinal injury, arthritis of the hips, and I have a partial paralyzed hand. I also have multiple autoimmune disorders; one of which requires me to take a medication that affects metabolism and increase fat storage while wasting muscle. I also live in rural area, it's miles to nearest grocery store. I've been below 6% in the last 12 months, and normally walk around in an athletic range. If you're fat, grow TF up and take some responsibility for yourself. Or, keep making excuses like a beesh, and feeling bad about yourself while blaming everyone else for a problem no one created but the person that stares back in the mirror.

What he doesn't realise is that everyone has different experiences and that just because someone else in the world has it worse does not mean that your own trauma or sadness isn't real. As Joe Rogan says, the worst thing that ever happened in your life is still the worst thing that YOU have experienced.

    The issue with just going online to follow something and then use that information successfully not to mention deciphering what’s bad info is that we aren’t well educated to begin with to understand how dieting and exercising works to begin with. I still am not confident my rep and set ranges are the best for me. But it’s easy to follow and I can usually keep up with it consistently and I have a generally good understanding of my own bio mechanics and how nutrition works. But you need that baseline before you can just go online and get more information.

    I have a question. I am new to working out, with weights at least. I started a couple months ago and really want a better chest, so twice a week I kill it, but almost every day I at least do one set of bench, incline, and free weight bench or flies. My chest has been feeling stronger in this short time, weight has increased a bit also. Is that to much on chest and not enough recovery?

  • @problackpatriot3425

    @problackpatriot3425

    Chest every day would be considered over training. In the short term you’ll likely get stronger on the front end. Strength and growth are not necessarily the same in terms of training style. The more you practice the stronger you’ll get (to a point), but because you’re not resting your not giving the muscle fibers time to recover and grow. *Friendly gym bro advice, so I recommend you do your own research as well and possibly consult a personal trainer.

    I think we can all agree after this video, Myron is the perfect person that we’d all like to work out for and would be that bully that we’d shut the fuck down. I know workouts should be for the betterment of ourselves. I know what motivates is that I love spending time with my daughter, and I always want to be the dad who can keep up with her, or carry her when she’s tired. But from my next exercise, it’s to vent that utter rage I’m feeling from one’s ignorance and outright contempt of being anything but a good person that encapsulates Myron.

    I actually posted this on Tyler's video, but the definition of Disgusted: a feeling or expressing revulsion or strong disapproval. It may not sound nice, but it's a feeling that most people in general have towards something like a 600lb person who is so big they can't walk, or wipe themselves etc. You'd naturally have a feeling of strong disapproval towards this, which you described in this video, you want to help them because you have a strong disapproval towards how they have lived their life. You can be both disgusted, and concerned for someone at the same time. Greg imo is actually being honest, but he is concerned. Myron doesn't show concern, he is just disgusted and shows zero empathy which makes him look so bad.

    I think part of the issue on the first question is that everyone holds a different view of what "disgusted" means. The way the one fat guy tried to clarify with Greg made it sound like he equates "disgust" with "disdain" Cuz like, personally, i do often feel disgusted when i see someone who is supermorbidly obese. Its a shock reaction, like seeing any other form of diseased person. I guess maybe im just not saintly, but when i see someone whos nose is rotting off from untreated syphilis, my immediate emotional reaction is simply "ew, disease, icky" same if they had their arm broken and dangling at a weird angle "ew, thats not right" and so on. I dont judge them or put on extra meaning, but i feel like its a very human reaction to have an immediate reaction of disgust.

Tell me this Myron guy could get a job working with Elon Musk who isn't in single digit bodyfat shape but works 7 days a week for 16 hours, or that a non fitenss obsessed woman would consider a gym addict matriage and father material. I don't think anyone "chooses" to be fat, but more choosing to not do anything about it. It's more laziness or lack of drive. So in essence, a choice to accept the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle because it's easier. No one can truthfully say the like being fat. Anyone claiming so is lying. We are becoming a society of lazy bums. It's getting really bad because of modernization, tech, convenience, etc. It's a sad state.

Despite my desire to help, they may be insulted by my information. IOW, compassion can sometimes backfire. I do understand Myron's attitude. He's sick and tired of the excuse making, sick of those who preach "acceptance." But obesity is like an addiction and it's insanely hard to overcome an addiction.
