Try building a cardboard tank. Guess you need money and mind for that too. Unless you are the Crood. It will get better once govt shares its R and D with private players. We need a basic structure to build upon and public spending on R and D is just that. Private sector can build upon the base.

It looks the part....it doesn't do the part. Paperwork and just basic metrics say it is in no way better than the t90. That turret 🤣. What are they firing, birdshot? They said it themselves, it's outdated before introduction. Even the older tanks are updated and will give this a challenge.

T90 is 3 man tank. Arjun is 4 man tank. It is natural that the Arjun will be bigger & heavier. The Army must first decide what it wants. 3 man crew or 4 man crew. And Army must buy minimum 400 tanks to justify the development & manufacturing set up costs.

Arjun is a piece of garbage, you can not say anything positive about it. The developement costs are already exceeded it original costs buy almost 10 Times, the Tank has litterly no safe Ammo storage so every hit can defacto explode the Tank, no armor protection and a short barrel gun with litterly no penetration. I dont care if this Tank manned by 10 Crew, if the Tank is garbage then its garbage and also its produced by India a nation with no Tank experience at all what you can expect from it? They should buy from Russia the new T-90s

all tanks such as merkava,Abrams,leclerc,challenger etc are more than sixty tons so weight is not that much issue.

India should develop a new tank far superior than t90 n arjun for the future battles or challenges. We should develop a modern tank similar to US Army M1A1 Abrams sep v3 with having a main gun of 130MM smoothbore gun

The Americans have a different doctrine and so do we, copying them is sheer stupidity. We need a tank with excellent mobility, firepower, FCS and situational awareness which can operate in Ladakh and in the desert and is capable of rapid maneuvers envisaged under cold start.

Our army and Arjun enemies are many who don't like it is the fastest and the Armour and can take with a point blanks shot from T-90, and the maintaining it has become better and spars are also available so this in not a negative thanks.

I think we shall go with indigenous MBTs from here on. Looking at the results in Ukraine, they can't fare any worse and we may as well give a boost to local industry. The subsequent iterations will get better and better.

Indian scientists and military engineers have already rectified those numerous problems that plagued Arjun Mk - I and were developing Mark - II version and in between have enhanced it into Gen Nx tanks. With Israel and Japan beside India it's not at all a wild guess.

Remember kids, every tank serves a role. No matter how good your tank is, it must have a tactical or strategically purpose, or else it is a failure. The Arjun obviously wont be going toe to toe with other Tanks, it will be best suited for use as an infantry support vehicle.

Indian weapons are a joke. In the future it may improve? All excited about the Rafale which is already outdated in modern militaries and replaced by gen 5 with gen 6 in development. The Indian army does do excellent motorbike displays tho and have lots of pretty uniforms.
