IRON Series 30 Min Full Body Dumbbell Cardio Workout | 9

Ready to combine muscle building movements with cardio elements to really make you work hard for 30 minutes!
For this workout you will simply need some dumbbells and your mat!
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 2 x 15kg each and 2 x 10kg each.
The timer will be on for a majority of the workout 45 seconds of work with 15 seconds rest. However the staple, when it appears is for 30 seconds only, followed by 30 seconds rest!
There is a staple of squat to press and every time this appears I will be using my lighter dumbbells of 2 x 10kg.

    Caroline, I know you probably won’t even read this, but I wanted to say thank you. I’m 61 and started really trying to get stronger and gain more flexibility and mobility as protection as I get older and because I love having an active lifestyle. When I first started I was overwhelmed (that was before I knew you had a beginners version on your app…whoops) but I stuck with it and have been concentrating on form while also going up on the weight I can use. It has been 2.5 months now of being faithful to it and I can definitely see and feel changes in my body. I am so thankful for the time and effort you have put into this and, once I go back through Iron again, I will get the app and work toward BEAST MODE!! You are making a huge difference in women’s lives all over the world.

    I make myself get into my workout clothes first. Then I have myself do the warm up. Afterwhich I find I am doing the workout.

    I've been having such a tough and emotional day today (it's still Thursday here). I can not wait to smash this early in the morning tomorrow as I know it will lift my spirit. Lifting lifts ME. Much more than building muscle… you are building yourself as a person through all of the many moments of discipline, self believe and determination.     Wow good for you doing this at 68. I will turn 75 in the beginning of June. Getting harder with age but I just keep going and do some modifications so I won't cause injuries. Keep it up. We senior ladies rock!!!!

    I missed my workout yesterday and so I decided to do day 8 and 9. Boy! I wanted to quit at the 25% of day 9 but I pushed thru and finished. Lesson learned.

    Exercise is the best thing anyone can do to feel better emotionally, physically, and spiritually. So I used to be a gym addict before covid.     I'm doing this series 3/4 days a week. It seems she has slowly increased the difficulty from previous sessions. This session was hard, but I got through it. I am determined to finish this series. I'm glad I found Caroline.

    Oh my...this was challenging and I only used 6kg and 9.5kg. My heart rate was high the entire workout and I needed to pause a bit longer than Caroline....don't know how she does it, I guess she is a superhuman! Thank you, Caroline!     I never comment on any videos but I’ve been doing Caroline’s Iron series for 9 days now and I’m hooked! Omg it’s amazing and this one today was a killer but it felt so good to get through it. I work out at home because I’m a bit intimidated by the gym but Caroline’s videos are really giving me the confidence in myself that I’m really considering joining a gym.     I usually follow these workouts at home but braved the gym in recent months and I now follow along at the gym. Gives me the chance to use heavier weights and also less self conscious in the gym having a workout to follow. Thanks Caroline. From a fellow Norn Iron girl 🤗

    This one was brilliant, though the hardest one up to now. I used 4 different weights. I still can't match yours, but I'm definitely improving + I do only 2/3 of them during the week. I have to say that my stomach has gone down and my glutes are definitely better. I love that everytime I go to the gym now, I follow your programme instead of doing random weights. The only thing that I can say would improve your videos, is to write the weight you are using during each exercise in the screen. Sometimes I get confused and have to pause the video to figure out which weigh you are using. Overall I love your videos! Thank you so much! Love from the Italian Riviera! ❤️

    Hi Meera...so true...I just loved that staple...as you say it really pushes the heart rate up! I tried to do the same number of reps each time with the staple...got harder towards the end...especially after single arm presses! Have fun and have a great weekend! Matthew

    My favorite full body workout!! I love training full body as it targets all muscles.. I also love isolated training where we target particularly upper or lower body.. Because Caroline always plans everything so brilliantly!! Today we have lots of squats with staple squat to press!! This is surely going to be a super killer session!! Looking forward to do this..     Whew!!! I was going to wait until tomorrow to do this workout, but I knew that with Easter preparations, I would probably be tired and not feeling like it then.     I took the day off from work today. Much needed rest, but I know I'll be spending it in the garden prepping :-). I can't wait to do this later in the morning.     Oh sweet lady. you are absolutely the best of all things fitness. After the 99% mark and ive fallen on the floor to stretch, surprised I didnt die - that feeling after. Its a feel good from skin through to soul. Most often - also a teary eye ❤

    Had a really sore left deltoid from yesterday (moved wrong I think). Went ahead and did this today after one of your warm-ups plus some extra stretching for the shoulders. I had 3 sets of weights just in case I had to go really light. I did about halfway. Still I am glad I did it. I finished it. My should hurts less. This is a great series and a great workout. I am starting to feel the changes in my body. Just got to stay consistent. Thank you for all these workouts.

    Wow - what a change of pace from the other Iron workouts this week, but felt great! By the finisher, I was gasping for breath with heartrate in the high 160s, and I've been doing Caroline's programs for about half a year now. Was feeling tired and drained beforehand, but this really helped lift my energy and mood 😊

    I love the music!! Some songs just push me here and there as if I am some super woman and some feel like I'm doing a workout on an Island with the sea nearby 🏝️ great choice of music Caroline!!

    This was great, I upped my weights from 7.5 to 10 Kg on most of this (not the squat to press however). Real sweaty mess now. Thank you Caroline :)

    This is my first round of Iron. Soon to be 49. Love lifting but I am not sure I entirely know what I am doing yet. This program helps a lot! P.S. Day 9 was tough 😮‍💨

    I used 2 x 20 kg instead of the 15kgs, 2 x 8 kg for the lateral lunge so that I wasn’t lifting less than you, and stuck to the 10kgs for the staple and shoulder presses. The increased weight was a considerable step up in intensity, so I was nearly beaten by the time the shoulder presses came along, but I stuck it out till the end!!

    Ii think this series is my favorite so far! Absolutely amazing, I can't wait to do them every day! I always dreaded the cardio days on all the others. But here it's still weights thank you!

    I LOVE the Iron series!! I have been lifting heavier (Progressive Overload). I feel and look so much stronger. This one looks pretty intense. Let's GO, before our big Easter meal. I will do mine fasting because I am in Abu Dhabi now and it's Ramadan. Let's GO..

    10kg for most of the moves, 7.5kg for the squat to press staple. This was a perfect way to start a Friday morning.

    Wow, that's quite good! I used 8kg as my heavier dumbbells and 5kg as the later ones, and it was already a challenge! With more breaks, I could've used slightly heavier dumbbells, but not with the workout as it was😅 But I'm already proud because I know that this is already heavier than what I used last year when I did this challenge for the first time (I just don't remember what weights I was using exactly, maybe 6 and 5kg), AND I barely took any additional breaks (maybe 25 seconds additional rest in total).

    Good morning from my part of the world 🇨🇦! That was definitely a challenging full body , an increase in weights for a cardio 😳 and the staple 🔥 had me on the floor by the end . But yes as Caroline said think of what you accomplished when you finish. I Truly appreciate every movement my body and my mind gave me to complete this ☺️😊

    Day 9: ✅️ I had such a stressfull workday today and the last thing I wanted was to work out. But also knowing myself "I'll do it tomorrow" can be translated most times as "I quit". Because tomorrow you also say tomorrow etc etc. So I forced myself on that mat, and I did it. It wasn't the best workout I did (my lunges today 😨😨😨 yikes), but still I did and I'm so proud of myself. Thank you Caroline, no other trainer could have gotten me on that mat today. Much love 💛💛

    This workout was INTENSE! Definitely took longer than 30 mins. Kept pausing and catching my breath 😝
