As a General Manager myself, I discourage everyone from ordering on 3rd party delivery sites. Youll pay significantly less by ordering delivery directly on the restaurants site or app. Edit 2 years later: I’m out of the industry, thank god. And people have only gotten lazier.

@JedStrogan This is true for restaurants that still use 3rd for their delivery service. Uber eats, doordash, etc, set higher menu prices. Which is exactly what was shown in the video.

What's even more amazing about this is how he uses the ingredients presented to him and a small amount of other parts...Any old Chef could cook a better meal with all fresh ingredients and some time to experiment. He did this all off the bat demonstrating different techniques and used some of the fast food in his creations. What differentiates a master of any craft from the rest is how they are able to do the most with the least.

Seems ridiculous though that getting it delivered essentially doubles the menu price. Sure the delivery service needs to get their cut, but you're not paying for each individual item to be brought to you. You're paying for the whole order to be brought to you all at once. With that logic it should cost the same for each item in your order to be delivered to you separately as it would altogether. If they show you the price breakdown before you pay I guess it's kosher, but to me it seems like they're trying to make the delivery cost appear cheap by hiding the actual cost in item pricing.

@@thehorseformerlywithoutana2522 The upcharge is restaurant sided not from the 3rd party. Because the 3rd party takes like 20-40% of the overall meal price the restaurant is forced to upcharge to keep making a profit. Honestly your concept for this channel has made me a more creative home cook. My ingredients are limited in Kyiv Ukraine compared to my comfort zone I developed having access to various specialty stores for ethnic food and grocery stores like Giant Eagle Kroger and Whole Foods. It has motivated me to also put a little effort into my pre prepared foods here to take them to a level where it’s preferable to most restaurants. It allows me to save money.
