Irish locals are 'going BERSERK' over migrant influx - 1 in 5 southern Ireland residents not native

'It's the Irish government that are saying this.'
'It's British ministers that are saying this!'
Tom Harwood and commentator on Irish politics, Kevin Meagher, challenge each other as to who's fueling the row over the Rwanda Bill supposedly forcing migrants into Ireland.

Why? Because I can sit down to get dressed. Obviously I should have bought a dinghy, arrived in Dover, signed up for it then trundled back home. I'd have got it then.

A little early to be smug, Craig. You should be concerned by this. UK has 1 Rwanda plan, and its got a lot of moving parts, and it took a long time to get going, its vulnerable in many ways. And we will use the power of the EU to break it, if it causes Ireland harm. I'd really rather we didn't have to. We can put pressure on Rwanda, on the ferry companies, and influence the upcoming general election. If you like that Rwanda plan (as I do) and you want to keep it, then be careful. Put ID checks at the ports, and it will keep the Rwanda plan, and the bigger picture going as you hoped. Risk it all, to troll Ireland and the EU, and you stand to lose this 1 shot at controlling illegals.

EU or no EU, they're all on the same side, and it's not ours. A bilateral agreement between the two countries is needed, but they want legal and illegal immigration to saturate the labour market and drive down wages. The benefits in Ireland is 100% better than the UK and that’s a fact , even for someone that’s working , no councils tax, no bedroom tax, no water rates, I could go on . The British people always relied on the crown to take care of them , that’s long gone , that’s why the Uk people put up with a lot of crap , where here in Ireland tend to protest a lot more .

Over €200 a week for doing nothing, trust me Ireland gives out a shit ton of benefits that should only be for the people who are actually Irish. My neighbour from Poland worked and worked while taking college classes and she works exhausting hours as a carer for seniors actually contributing to society instead of just living off benefits. There’s a difference between wanting a better life and sponging off the government. You can also have an extreme eating disorder in your teens, get disability and they won’t even check on you in yoir 20’s and 30’s. I know a girl who’s been getting disability for that and she’s fine and spends all her money on booze and going on multiple holidays. There’s loads of issues in the system which is why illegals come to exploit it
