Because Rwanda took our money, sold the houses supposedly built to house migrants. The hostel being shown only takes 200. The first one sent has gone missing and the hostel hasn't seen him and is locked. Rwanda is saying now that they want a "bedding in" time. So basically despite all the money given to Rwanda they don't want them either. It's an expensive complete farce.

The government does not care about the money - it is our money not theirs. They are either abiding by treaties and laws with no wiggle room or they are deliberately ignoring legal ways we can mitigate the problem. If deliberate then probably because the usual suspects, for example SERCO, are making a profit from this.

It is now racist to say that migrants don't follow our conventions (manners, queuing, highway code) which is annoying or outright dangerous - I was censored for saying so on the Guardian yesterday.

If the Royal Navy had instructions to monitor the English Channel UK territorial waters they should successfully resist and turn around all illegal inflatables. Any craft in serious trouble would be assisted when being turned and the French authorities notified to collect. Dealing with the problem at source cuts out the costs and delays, interviewing, providing preferential housing, legals etc.
