1:04 False, we don't know the biggest planet in the entire universe, but even if the one we think (which is not Jupiter), is the biggest, that won't change the fact that Jupiter's the biggest in our solar system not the universe
@oblivicmonarch6669
7 ай бұрын
Well, the current known planet, which holds the title of the biggest planet in the universe, is ROX 42Bb, which orbits around the star ROX 42B. And it's 9x more massive than Jupiter.
@Verymusician193
7 ай бұрын
@@oblivicmonarch6669Great point however, we haven't seen every planet in our universe. Even if we have, ROX 42Bb is 440 light-years away meaning that the intel we have is 440years ago so another planet could have been created or ROX 42Bb may have even been destroyed. Eitherway my comment meant to imply that Jupiter isn't the biggest planet and that they made a mistake when giving the right answer.
@oblivicmonarch6669
7 ай бұрын
@Verymusician193 That's precisely why I emphasised on the fact that it is a planet that currently holds the title of the biggest planet in the universe, Currently it is the only planet that we have found to be this massive. There could be planets that could be way bigger than this after all it takes at least 80 times the mass of Jupiter to make a low-mass star, so a planet existing within any scale of mass in between may theoretically exist, only time will tell. Though we may not be able to accurately assess the average 'Lifespan' of a planet due to many factors that are at play, but we can make an assumption that a planet could exist for around 10 billion years or so ( That is if any thing happens to the star ROX 42B, but with out any destructive intervention the planet could even last till the end of time or until the age of proton decay), and ROX 42Bb is only around a million years old its a really really young planet, and it could even outlast the expansion of our sun. The universe is a vast place that holds things beyond what the human mind could ever comprehend. We may never know if the universe is a creation or the creator itself, we may never know what the end goal of our creation is, all we can do is look towards a future and hope that we persist to know the reason for our kind to exist.
@Verymusician193
7 ай бұрын
@@oblivicmonarch6669 Nice clarification, I didn't read the word "current". It happens pretty often, so please excuse me. However, that was why I said my point was that they, the creators of this video, were wrong and in the "correct answer" thingy, I think down left, Jupiter isn't the biggest. Also thank you for the intel on ROX 42Bb, I didn't know much!
