I love how different the X is in terms of design. Hopefully Apple can’t take a step backward, so future cheaper models will have bezel-less screens, probably with an LCD to reduce the price over OLED. But hey, I’m excited to upgrade my 16gb 6 to a 64GB 6s Plus 😂

Technology deteriorated over time. My ps2 was slower before I stopped playing it, my Xbox 360 too. Every laptop I rocked constantly for 1.5-3 years hard. Sometimes devices are designed to deteriorate prematurely/easily/quicker, but often it’s just technology being ran routinely, enduring wear and tear.

Qalvus Dominus just letting you know regarding touching the sides of the screen accidently on s8 you can turn off the edges. I did that because I don't need to use that function anyway.

Phones are pretty good at detecting accidental touches though. I thought it might be an issue when I got my S7 Edge, but over a year later it hasn't ever been a problem. Being able to have a big screen without necessarily having a huge phone is really nice. The experience of using a phone that feels like its all screen is also just generally pretty cool.

Qalvus Dominus how do you hold you phone? Lol Like.....use your left hand and make an L shape with your index and thumb with other fingers to hold it behind when your holding your phone vertically and watching it laying down. You can also use your right hand and hold it using all your other fingers and using your pinky at the bottom (backwards L) to hold it. Your can also keep both of your hands to the side and use friction to slightly squeeze your phone so it won't fall😂 lol bezzels should be used however to sometimes pick your phone out of your pocket without turning it on:p then again, why would you pock your phone out of your pocket if you weren't gonna turn it on?😂

YDINO You get $100 headphones, fast charging, expandable storage and the S-pen with Note 8 though.. So the price is actually somewhat legit. iPhone X on the other hand gives you almost nothing, not even fast charging. Apple wants you to think that the phone alone is worth $1000 which definitely isn't the case. These considered.. Note 8 is a better choice.

I wanted to get the x so bad! Sadly I know they won't be available for walk in for another two months most likely. I ended up settling for the 8 and I'm perfectly fine with that. I think both are great options if someone is needing to upgrade considering there aren't that many differences in the two phones. I love listening to all the reviews on the new iphones and they helped me decide whether to get a new phone now or wait! Appreciate these videos a lot

What's the wallpaper?

The camera module is turned 90 degrees because it has to be. The FaceID cameras and sensors in the notch would be in the way if you tried to have the rear facing standard cameras oriented the old way. It wasn’t to be different, it was due to space. Those components can’t overlap inside the phone unless you made it much thicker.

I'm doubting whether to get the 8/8plus or SE?

I️ would greatly appreciate if you can answer this question. So with the iPhones with iOS 10 or newer, there is an option for “Rest finger to open” in accessibility so you don’t have to actually “press” the home button again to unlock. Is there something similar to that with the iPhone X with Face ID. I️ feel if there was, then it would unlock at the same speed or even faster than Touch ID. An Tish just wondering how you unlock it without the home button and some people don't use Face ID, because there is no home button fingerprint reader so you can't press the home button like the iPhone 6 which I never use. So what they went back to slide to unlock from the iPhone 4 but now you side in a different direction.

Keep thinking of getting iPhone X but price putting me off. I’ve had 6s from a few week after it came out. By far longest I’ve had the same phone.i used to get new phone every year but now there is nothing new phones can do. Live Photo’s was last new thing worth getting a phone for. Honestly think I’ll save the money and keep 6s til it either breaks or a new iPhone that does something new is brought out. Either way won’t be without a phone and won’t be wasting money.

I personally think that Face ID will prove to be just as influential to security and the user experience as Touch ID was. Touch ID made security really usable by making it easy. Personally I never used a passcode to lock my phone before Touch ID (and I knew many people who did the same) because it was a pain and I look back and can’t believe I use to have to type in a pass code/password every time I opened a secure app. I can see Face ID shifting that paradigm from easy keys to no keys. It’s like changing from unlocking your door with a key to having someone open the door for you before you get there. Even if the key is super fast and easy ( even as easy as looking at an iris reader), it’s still a lock and key that requires you to do something to unlock it. It’s a barrier to get through. Face ID allows you to use apps and go in an out of secure apps without doing anything additional, just by virtue of the fact that it’s you using your phone. I can imagine in a few years when Face ID is faster and we have taken it so much for granted when we pop in and out of our secure content, that we will look back and think, “I can’t believe I had to unlock every secure app every time I used it” Thanks for the video and keeping it real. So many tech reviewers seem to just be “feeding the trolls” anymore.

Every device from 600.- up is basically the same with some little tweaks and gimmicks that really don‘t make a big difference to a reasonable person. People just like to argue, hate and fanboy.

More like $400 and up. So much flagship killers sell for $400 or less. Same specs, just different brand.

+Jank Paul More like $200 and up... See? I can make this argument as well! People need to realise that price/quality is an exponential curve. At some point, it requires a lot of money to improve the quality by just a small margin. That's the essence of flagship killers. They position themselves on this curve at the point where the quality to price ratio is the highest. Flagships position themselves at the point where the quality is the highest, which obviously results in a much lower quality to price ratio.

Keep dreaming pal, Pixel 2 is just a gimmik, just like the Iphone X. There's not true improvement in smartphones; is just like the table, tv, Vr, dvd, lcd, plasma, etc. They had just reached the top. Two words to keep in mind : PLANNED OBSOLENCE.

iPhone 8plus black is my favourite

Hey marques, i'm a 7+ user and just ordered a X last night. But now watching comparisons, do you think its worth 'upgrading'? Because the screen is smaller in width, so no landscape. Smaller battery life and without the notch its basically a 4.96' display.

True... but the screen size of the iPhone X is comparable or larger than the 8 Plus.

Not quite. It's 5.8 (X) vs 5.5 (+) but at a very different aspect ration. The Plus has more screen real estate when viewing 16:9 content, whereas the X is basically closer to a taller regular iPhone. So portrait mode you do get more on screen but unless you zoom in the Plus models will typically be better in landscape.

TheHoly Shrimp yes. The Plus is better for video content filmed in widescreen 16:9 the X is better for websites, social media or any other medium that is more vertical (scrolling) than horizontal

Hi, I am about to buy a new phone, but I can't decide between the iPhone 8 (which I would get for 720€) and the Samsung Galaxy S8. What would you recommend me? :)

Which one? 8 or 8 plus?? No one in my family has gotten a 4.7 inch screen but my dad has a 7 plus and the size is good for gaming, which I do on my phone a lot...

iComment Yeah. The pictures are insane on my 8 plus.

"bright light it refuses to blur the background" Thats because you need a wide open aperture to create the blur (bokeh). If the camera is already shooting at its max shutter speed, min film speed, it has no choice but to use a smaller aperture (sharper background) otherwise the photo will be over exposed. The same thing happens on expensive DSLRs and expensive lenses. No getting around it.

@@ruyveng Thats disappointing.. Its a pretty convincing DOP though, and even gradually changes based on distance.
