I went from 6s to 8 just because Verizon offered a buy one get one free. I don’t really notice much difference and wouldn’t have upgraded had it not been free. Dual speakers is kinda nice as is the home button upgrade. Camera seems the same as does performance but I don’t game on my phone.

Me too. Also, i found the user experience with the iPhone X so dumb! I had the chance to test it in a shop and basically Apple screwed up all the gestures in order to make it work without the button! Absurd. I mean, it's a beautiful phone, but they must rethink the usability part.

robin i don't see the big deal either. Lightning connectors/ports are god awful though, and the less times you need to use it the longer it will last atleast. I went through over 5 cables in 2 years with my iphone. And i havn't had a single drama with the micro usb cables/port on the s7 since it's release.

robin it’s a mystery propagated by KZread channels like this, who at times appear to be way off the reality of users. It is of course not wireless charging, it is inductive charging, Samsung marketing department knew that calling it wireless charging will get reviewers like this falling for the marketing blurb. This channel reviewers bang on every time about the removal of the headphones jack as you cannot listen through your headphones when charging (who does that?) yet you cannot use nearly everything when wireless charging, yet a reviewers on here claims wireless charging is very very important! Of course inductive charging is slower, less convenient, means your stuck with a fragile all glass phone, is very inefficient losing 25% plus energy through the process, overheats your phone (hence the fan in the latest Samsung wireless pads), costs more (if you go totally wireless hundreds of dollars), cannot use whilst charging and generally fits the bill as an archetype gimmick. Fans say they can use it in Starbucks or such like, but I for one don’t flash my £1000 phones around, as it’s rather brash and of course increases your risk of it being stolen. So I agree, it is a great mystery and kudos to Samsung for tapping into the psyche of the teen market where gimmicks like this can shift stock.

The point of wireless charging is not to charge your phone from 0-100 but charge it a little bit, wirelessly like you just set it down charge it a bit or even have one next to your bed so you can simply place down the phone and wake up to a fully charged phone. Or maybe you're at Starbucks at a table and you place down your phone and now your phone's battery will last a little longer. And you could even put one in your office and not worry about a cable when you want to use your phone.

Upgraded from an iPhone 6 and speed differences in daily tasks are minor. I expect due to software „upgrades“ the 8 will feel just as slowish as my 6 does now sometimes. (and there is the battery throttling). I recall when my iPod Touch 2nd was able to pan and zoom absolutely smoothly through google maps including their photospheres, same for the ipad 2 and 3, it was surreal to experience, almost life like. Performance for the regular stuff has been there for years! Its the OS upgrades that force us to move on to continuously more expensive phones on the Apple side. The alleged performance boost does not benefit you - it benefits Apple making their latest phones seem great for a while not having to optimise their OS in the efficiency department.

Battery life shows how some people (if not the most) are too dependent to phone these days. I usually charge my iPhone 7 about every 1.5 or 2 days sometimes even 2.5 day. I remember during the early days of iPhone 5 with the iOS 6, the battery stays for DAYS without even charging. Remembering the day when I update the iOS and I need to charge the phone every day just wtf man.

My friend with an iPhone said his started slowing down. I know when I had the iPhone 5s I used to use FaceTime a lot nearly everyday. when the 6 came out they really talked about how the front facing camera was a lot brighter and sharper but once it came out they made my 5s camera looked like crap. They dimmed it down just to make people feel like the 6 was actually better

They don't do this. Actually, the big front facing camera change was from the 5 to the 5s, the 6 has pretty much identical cameras to the 5s except for Phase Detection Autofocus and OIS on the Plus models (and improved image processing). Apple may do a lot of consumer unfriendly things but nothing so bad as this. Performance slowdowns due to bad new software optimization and not allowing new features on older devices that support them are the biggest things they do.

There only real advantages of the iPhone 8 are battery related: better battery life and wireless charging. I don’t think that alone is worth the extra money, which is why I upgraded to an iPhone 7 (which is cheaper and more durable than an iPhone 8) a few days ago from my iPhone 5. It’s a huge improvement!

Watching this from the iPhone 3GS 32gb White model which does everything I would do with the 7 or the 8. Swapped to this after breaking my SE... Thought it would be unbearable but ive been using it for 3 months now and guess what. It does calls, does text message and imessage, does intagram and youtube, does Google Play Music, gets through a day (!) on one charge, thats about all i do on a phone. Got me thinking, do we really need the latest and greatest?

The quality on the 8 for its camera is much better and not negligible at all. The iPhone 10 actually is the same thing as the iPhone 8 with a larger display, and no home button so a few different features. I love photography and my 8plus just brings me to tears (of joy) every time I take a photo due to the pure quality in such a convenient package. 240 FPS at 1080p recording is just to die for, I’ve gotten really cool videos jumping hubs on my four wheeler with my iPhone. The seven doesn’t have that quality when it comes to the power and the camera, it just isn’t there. Granted both have great cameras but the 8 definitely is much better if you are into photog.

It's 2021 and my iphone 8 still works beautifully. This is why I gave up my android for ios. The longevity of the phone.

Cesar Garcia Problem is, galaxy only gets one update per 2 years. Always behind on releases, the ecosystem is fragmented, and they have poor RAM management. Lots of bugs.

How big is the 8/7? I want a bigger screen but just want to know the size of the phone just because it cheaper than the plus version.

There’s more than just design going on between each new phone such as battery life, the camera, internals ( CPU n’ such ) which apps start optimizing better for like Snapchat, and so forth.

Ahmed 3955 Of couse🔥 The main thing i dont like about the iPhone 8 is the colors are more dimmer and are prone to fingerprints and scratches.

Jonny Donny the 8 has a noticably better camera and battery life is quiet a bit better.

Nice videos keep up the good work

how many more updates of iOS can the iphone 7 and the iphone 6s handle​?

If we have cover on Iphone 8 does it make any difference while charging ? Mean to ask whether we need to remove the cover to charge ?

Apple says it will work with cases that are not thicker than 5 mm

i'm happy and contented on my iPhone 7 .. it's amazing phone for me!

“I still prefer aluminum”... well you could bend the Aluminum easily, and the iPhone 8 is more durable.

I went from 6s to 8 just because Verizon offered a buy one get one free. I don’t really notice much difference and wouldn’t have upgraded had it not been free. Dual speakers is kinda nice as is the home button upgrade. Camera seems the same as does performance but I don’t game on my phone.

I have an 8+ and friends that have the 7+ and we've compared..the wireless charging is nice, the speakers sound better on the 8+, the camera and video are better, the processor is faster when you are editing video, better battery, better display, better all around..it is an upgrade, these things may not be important to you, but they are when YOU actually own the phone.

fourthtunz Hey! How is it going with the glass in the back? Every video I see is with an iPhone that doesn’t have a case neither a protector in the front. I want to buy an iPhone 8+ but I am a little bit worried about it shattering in pieces if I drop it.

Annie way, I've had a case on every iPhone I've had since 2007, not sure why people don't want a case, I've got one with the hip clip and it has a kickstand for viewing, very handy. The plus phones are easier to drop so I recommend a case. Glad I got the 8+ awesome! I'll get the SEX(special edition X) when it comes out in September.

I prefer Apple on hardware and software and durability and I prefer Samsung galaxy phones on displays too but I prefer Apple over than samsung
