Both are incredibly good but i am more impressed with the versatility of the Samsung and the fact that although it came out in January, it keeps up with the best that Apple can do and sometimes pass it. I'm gonna wait for January 2022 and the S22 Ultra, that's probably gonna kill it!

@@MrXherlie 108mp sensor uses the pixel binning 3x3, combining 9 pixels into 1 bigger pixel to capture more light and give better results in mosts scenarios. So, yeah, he's using at its best, at normal mode, not 108mp. Do your research before coming talk bs over here.

It's safe to say that we're at a point that aside from subtle differences, the average consumer can't go wrong. Cameras are exceptional nowadays, and a lot of the features being added are things many people won't appreciate, or care to use.

Killing? Well, to kill you would need a massive difference. Slightly better dynamic range but grossly saturated and less detailed. If you into saturation fuck fest, Samsung all looks like a killer.

I got the S21 Ultra, and couldn't bare with the sharpening and unatural colors. So I went back, got cashback and am now waiting for the 13 Pro. So yeah, you can deffinatly go wrong.

Excellent video and much in demand. I am on several pages from Facebook with both the Samsung and the iPhone. I recently switched from the iphone11promax to the Samsung 21 Ultra so I am familiar with most of the features in general but of course not the 13 Pro Max in particular. You bring out very thorough comparisons and I refer people to this video when they ask questions rather than just try to get my own opinion. This video is not only thorough but enjoyable to watch oh, thanks. You have a friend in Columbus Ohio!

We've reached the point where both camera set up are fantastic in their own right, but it all depends on the software and the certain conditions it's under in order to take a great photo.

Galaxy S21 Ultra and for years it has had filters in the main camera, the icon is like a magic bar in the upper right. Apply them live and you can increase or decrease the intensity of the filter you choose and you can customize filters.

Yeah but they are not ingrained by the image processing do you understand? Any third party app that adds filter is shit compared to ingrained in the source photo information, any pro would just want the natural photo but the styles are for people that want it to be easy.

It's not a filter. Photographic Styles are different because they are aware of the subject and apply different settings to different objects in the scene. This means there’s a lot more depth instead of the flat nature of a preset.

Samsung doesn't offer white balance settings in auto mode as far as I know. But Apple offers a warmth slider in auto mode, which should behave like a white balance slider. Having a white balance slider in auto mode is a huge advantage.

Awesome video, super detailed and well done! One tip for improvement: it'd be great to get a stabilization test for the zoom lenses. Maybe take a steady video pointing to a landmark with 4x zoom etc. and compare if the object stays still or start to get shaky

how the detail is presented is what distinguishes Sony from the rest. Everything, from foliage and grass to people and buildings, looks more organic and, well, realistic. Just compare Sony's photos to ones from a recent iPhone or a Galaxy and you'd immediately notice how gentle is Sony with the intricate detail, and how abusive are Apple and Samsung with sharpening and processing. Apple and Samsung overprocesses the photos and often ruins the foliage, sometimes people's faces look like oil paintings, and the colors are accurate yet dull. This is not only my point of view, but the point of view of all professional photographers. At the end of the day, Sony is a leading company in photography in the world while Apple, Samsung and all the rest have nothing. to do with the world of professional photography. cameras.

With the S21 Ultra like with other Samsung's phones you can also adjust the background effect on portrait video while recording and also you have different background effects. Great comparison!! 👍🏾

Hey, Supersaf. The S21 Ultra has manual focus racking in their own Pro Video mode. You can also adjust iso, shutterspeed, and more technical things on it. Although it's manual, I think that having this option is my favorite over portrait video anytime.

But the video on the iPhone is still better the problem Samsung has is the 108 megapixel sensor more megapixels means less low light sensitivity that’s why Samsung uses pixel binning by taking 9 pixels and turning it into one large pixel te collect more light but that doesn’t work in video that’s why the 8k video in the Samsung galaxy s21 ultra looks so grainy and noisy in lowlight situation more megapixels does not always mean better pictures or videos

@@skywalkercfc5386 do you actually understand how cameras work most professional full frame cameras only go up to 60 megapixels because because more megapixels mean less low light sensitivity if you want really want a good a 100 megapixel camera you are looking at a medium format camera those cameras have one of the biggest camera sensors on the market. the cheapest medium format camera is the Fujifilm GFX 100 which costs 10.000 dollars. 108 megapixels in a phone is just a gimmick because the sensor is just to small. the phone whit the biggest camera sensor right now is the sharp sharp aquos r6 a Japanese phone whit a 1inch 20 megapixels sensor yes its 20 megapixels and it takes amazing pictures in low light. and the video quality on the s21 ultra is just bad for a phone whit 8k video. I've read from a-lot of s21 ultra users in this moment section that the video quality the s21 ultra is bad the the iPhone may not have the best picture quality but when it comes to video apple is still the king

Great video as always, Camera's on flagship phones now days really are all great. It's more picking one (for camera / video) on where they perform just a tad bit better than the other in some shots or has a new gimmick (cinematic mode / periscope).

At this point it's about which ecosystem you're invested in. Both phones take great pictures. As for myself I tent edit after taking my pictures or just use the pro mode. The average phone user uses the standard photo mode and they usually don't know how to take pictures anyway. Also as usual Supersaf great video and I love your content.

Great job, when you check the photos which one actually look like what you are taking? more true to life? Which one is more consistent?

Hi Saf, love your videos. In this case, everything you are comparing is post raw processing.... which is interesting, but is not the whole story. Shooting test images in raw would allow you to analyze the sensor demosaicing, default sharpening, true low-light sensor capability, all before the RGB conversion takes place. Looking at raw images can also help you compare Apple and Samsung highlight recovery, shadow capture, etc., relative to Adobe processing of the same image. Just a thought..... for those truly serious photographers who are viewing.

iPhone 13 Pro Max will be delivered to me in a couple of days. Very excited. No hate at all, but I tried the S21 Ultra for a couple of weeks earlier this year, I just like iOS way better than Android. A more polished and consistent experience for me. To each their own though.

iPhones work well. Sometimes I'd like things like the larger sensors or higher zoom that Android phones have. Here's to hoping the Android phones can keep up with refinment as my oppo has lots of little things that are not as refined as my iPhone or Samsung. Has great hardware and specs

@@florin521 I’ve had many iPhones in many galaxies, I like iOS and android. I have a xs max for two years and then Decided I wanted a new Note 20 ultra. However the sensors size causes a narrow Pane of focus and often underwhelming photos unless they are from far away or landscape shots. The speakers in the earpiece get clogged easily with dust because there is no great it is just a slit. Not to mention my first N20U I had to use the warranty just a month after purchasing it because the screen burned out. Then I cracked my replacement, my fault, and then the replacement for that came cracked. I have still been using a replacement with the crack however the screen is now burning out on this as well. I never had any burning or burn out on my iPhone, and I had some issues with my galaxy S8 years ago, the note was ultimately very disappointing.

@@florin521 I should also mention that iOS and android have both been maturing for years but iOS has matured in a more consistent and reliable way, android, no matter how good the phone is, always seems to have some sort of issue that will arise that affects performance or use ability, in the two years iPhone by iPhone XS Max, my battery health state above 90% and the phone never liked, force reset, or hung, and if it did it was maybe once

Would have loved to see you compare Samsung's Pro Video Mode with iPhone's Cinematic mode. Feels like that's a better comparison rather than portrait mode video (which is still great).

S21 ultra is really nailed it mann...i mean that device released about an year before the 13 pro max, they really improved...i will pick the s 21 ultra

@Paul Tuff That is a dumb statement.There are 9 months diff. between S21 and iphone 13 but only 3 months difference between iphone 13 and S22 so that is the better comparison.And iphone 13 uses tech that was available in 2021 where as S21 uses tech from 2020 cause it was released in 2021 jan S22 is the phone that will utilise 2021 tech.

@@cipri198zero this iPhone's chip is a bit powerfull than the SD888, i am not going to judge the comparision, i am just surprised by the s21's performance, coz in the beginning, s21's camera is not at the level of iphone 12 pro max, but they have really optimized their software,

A very competent review! Great! I'm now on Note 20 Ultra looking forward to upgrade to Note 22 Ultra, maybe in January 2022, if leaks are correct. I'm the Android type, whatever the iPhone offers, I'll just pass; I don't like their design language and ecosystem constraints. By the way, there is an 8-month difference between the two phones. Just wait for January 2022 😉

My sentiments exactly. I actually gave the iPhone 13 Pro Max a fair shot at winning me over, but the iOS component is too much to bear. It's a limited, closed down OS with nearly zero productivity features available. My Note 10+ will be traded in for the S22 Ultra / Note and I couldn't be more excited.

@@AvgWingman the skin is better than the actual OS, I'll tell you that. I use an iPhone for work and own an iPad Pro and I hate using iOS on the iPhone. It works fine on tablet, since it has splitscreen to help with productivity. But iOS itself, not the look of it but the actual features and feel, is terrible on a phone.

@@rj350z Oooo, but ya know what I never even change my wallpaper 😂😂, And I bought realme because of it's os which is the best in it's price range and father has a pixel whose os is best I have seen....I don't want any bloatware, customisation, I only use the Google and clock widget too, I just love how beautiful and optimised iOS is, it is very controlled tho, but as I have never customised anything I will never mind it ig....
