I bought a SMASHED iPhone 12 from a Tradie. Is it worth repairing?
The cost of replacement parts coupled with the time and effort involved in restoring this phone is up for debate. iPhone full frame swaps are notoriously difficult and tedious, but are they getting even more complex?

Speaking of which, I thought the add-on little circuit board only needed to stay on temporarily, in order to fool the iPhone it’s a genuine battery, and possibly to reset the cycle count to zero using the battery programmer. At least that’s what I seem to remember watching other repair videos. Or is that model-dependent too, and Apple cracked down on this yet again, forcing the dongle to stay on? 😢

Not sure how you made it sound like it was in the room rather than from headphones. The rest of the repair was great as well, as always with your channel.
