Reviewing the iPhone 11's dual camera with a side-by-side comparison test versus last year's iPhone XR. Here's how the 2019 Apple smartphone compares with the older model for photo and video quality, including a close look at the night mode, selfie camera, portrait feature and other tools.
The iPhone 11 upgrades those optics to a dual-lens rear camera, with the same 12MP primary shooter now backed by a secondary 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. In my camera tests I found that the new phone captured sharper photos with slightly improved colour accuracy, although the HDR smarts were hit and miss. On occasion, the XR actually produced better balance in high contrast.
Apple's new night mode brightens things up considerably for low light photos vs the XR, but the iPhone 11 still isn't as good as the Huawei P30 Pro. No complaints on the Portrait mode though, which has been upgraded with studio lighting effects.
My tests also compared the new iPhone to last year's model for video quality, with 4K resolution capture once again available. And you can shoot Ultra HD footage with the selfie camera now too.

ChopstickZ well my 6S was dying on me soon so i had to get one fast. Wouldve wanted to get the 11 but it couldn't wait. So i guess i'll have to hang on to it for a bit then

faham hilmy I have my doubts honestly. There is certainly something missing in the 11. Either the iPhone 11 pro is overhyped or there is a slight difference in camera performance. From all the comparisons, the quality doesn’t seems that much improved.

Mine too!! I thought it was just mine or my mind playing games on me. I came from the LG V40 and I swear it has the best camera specially front facing camera. The iPhone 11 front camera on photo is blurry. I took a selfie and it blurred out my hair and half my forehead :(

Xiaomi mi9t, iphone 6s for a reasonable price if you're a fan of IOS, flagships from Samsung or Huawei from the past two years like Huawei p20, Samsung galaxy s7 is also a great device... it all depends on what you prefer. Motorola has a new device for a good price, Motorola One Zoom for example... if you are okay with pure android experience it's a good choice. And to add: there is no such thing as the best phone. The best phone is what you need and want for your own purposes.

Lol you are literally one of the only youtubers who didn’t like the cameras on the iPhone 11, especially night mode. Most reviewers saying it’s the best out there. Even the video in which Apple is best in class you only say it’s “solid” lol.

It’s his opinion and he is entitled to it and to an extend I agree with him. It’s probably the best but by a slightest of margin, and P30 pro has better night mode hands down. I’m sure the pixel 4 (from the samples I’ve seen) will out do the iPhones easily. And every reviewer will start to praise that one after this.
It isn't no p30 pro yep but guess which one you can still sell next year for a hefty price. I purchased my huawei mate 20 Pro in December. A month before the mate 30 Pro came out. You could get a mate 20pro for the same price as a iPhone 8 yes you heard that right. The mate 20 Pro had depreciated so badly. So I'm giving up my huawei and going back to iPhone after numerous years chopping and changing android phones. My last apple phone was the 5 after having every iPhone upto that point. Now its time to go back

@@Blue-sb4hv I don't ever use finger print or retina scan or any of those things. I just type in my password. Google has enough on everyone now that tech reviewers have been calling for these things Google now has you eye ball, your face and finger print plus your name etc. They know where you have been since you signed up and if you use Google voice they have recorded your voice as well it's saved. Go watch Austin Evans video about it. You will be stunned.

Fingerprint is just there for convenience as most people dont like typing in there password a hundred times a day, also its faster.

Do you really believe these smartphone makers made all these things for greater good of humankind. They made these things to get access to all of you. Look at trend retina facial recog fingerprint. Surely your not serious if you believe they have your custom as good will. I have never used any of those. I don't use Facebook or Instagram. I use apps and yes KZread I use but I refuse to use Google voice or maps or any of those things. I'd seen on video from 2 years ago that even if you turn your location of Google still tracks you without your permission and you don't find that sinister.
