Have a nice day! ^u^ This is my first complete contrapuntal composition from more than a year ago.

Absolutely wonderful work! Very refreshing to hear music like this still being composed. One small nitpick/piece of advice: instead of ending on a chord, you could try ending on just an octave so that it sounds like 2 voices are at play since the majority of your composition is in 2 parts.

Thank you lots! I think it would be a good idea to reduce the final chord. Upon listening to it again, I think it sounds a bit awkward.

This is so wonderful! I truly cant stop listening. If I can say one thing though, I’d suggest writing the dotted 8th in measure 12 as an 8th tied to a 16th. It’s clearer that way and retains the separation of the beams.

Congrats, u made a piece. my personal opinion is that its incredibly creative and well thought out, although the complicated dynamics make it a huge challenge, as the problem with composing in front of a screen, is that its hard to see the real beauty of your piece as its being horribly butchered by the musescore play-back system, plus the monotone-like default piano soundfont. Thats why some composers put incredibly hard dynamics that use mf's, and mp's, and other complicated things, to make the play-back more pleasing to hear, even though all these problems would be easily fixed if a real person played it on a real acoustic piano

Thank you for your feedback! I'm sure it would sound much better played on an actual piano. Unfortunately, I'm not a pianist and don't plan on putting the effort into becoming one. I can't afford professionals to play pieces of mine either, so all I can do is rely on soundfonts. This is actually not the default soundfont of Musescore but a VST that cost 30 €. There are certainly better ones out there but I'm already pleased enough with this one (even though the dynamics are not very well audible).

This is copy-paste from the style of Bach. It's a good exercise to be able to write in a contrapuntal style from the Baroque era, but it cannot be considered as original composition.

You are right. It was an exercise in the beginning of my counterpoint lessons. I uploaded it because I hadn't composed anything in a while. I write ‘(original composition)’ after every video title to indicate that I composed it, not anyone else. (: In my other compositions on this channel, I deviate a lot more from Bach's style.

In my opinion, don't take the other person's comment to heart. Your music is definitely original--it's Baroque inspired, but not a copy of Bach. I used to get a lot of the same criticism.
