You are the first one to show how to hold the sticks and go over the moves slowly. Other videos don't show this and right away they start spinning the sticks and going super fast. To me this is not for first time beginners. Thank you. I learned a lot with you.

I agree in complimenting how things are shown slowly… this art seems to have many instructors who get their jollies going 100 miles an hour when explaining absolute basics… like way to go mate you’ve done this for 20 years I’ve been here 15 minutes go play Bruce Lee on yr time

I really want to thank you for your instruction on this. I live in NYC, and protecting yourself is limited. I know Goju-Ryu karate, but when your dealing with people who carry knives, clubs, bottles and such, one needs an extra edge, knowing to fight is good, but to carry something like a cane comes in quite useful in an emergency. These techniques are great, and can be applied with a cane. Please do more of them, your doing such a great service to people everywhere. Take care and God bless.

Sticks are used to train back during the spanish conquest of the Philippines as a way to mask training. From what I heard, they used dance to also make the praactices discreet.

1 is better for majority of people. Most people when double stick fight, the left stick just gets in the way and limits the movement of the right.

Sorry, but the history behind it is the Spaniards banned Filipino from practicing their martial arts. They would confiscate anything that looked like a weapon. Short story Filipino came up with Arnis using cane and dancing to replace a traditional Filipino Martial Arts. Look up tinikling.
