Looks like it only made the design flaw of the braava(single pad to retain soiling from wet mopping) worse. Still, cool that one unit does everything.
Thats Cool
Nah, give us a self cleaning mop. The point of a self emptying vacuum is that it's hands off and we don't have to keep emptying the bin. But you want us to fill the water bin and clean the mop pad every time it runs?

Especially if they're charging a premium for it. Would make sense if it cost $600 but for $1000+ it should have the bare minimum of what the other $1000 vacuum/mop has.

Powerful Cleaning, Powerful Mopping, Powerful Self-emptying
I bought this model last month but there seems to a battery issue . After using the robot even though the battery is 80-90% charged , next day it is again at 0%. Battery cannot seem to hold the charge . When I called the customer care they said to keep it on charge 24/7.
Very cool!
Hey irobot did you make 960 prototype with advanced A.I and sound sensors?
we need self emptying bagless bin and self cleaning mop. Piggyback off mains water.. so don't need to fill up or empty the dock, that's be nice. Waterless mop would be best so wouldn't need to be refilled.
It should do the edges at the beggining not the end. Mine flicks bits into the middle of the floor but because it's at the end of the cycle they are then left. Should also use liddar.
My concern is that the cleaning pad is simply being dragged across the floor - no scrubbing action of any kind. For the $1100 price tag I would expect a lot more. You could get both an i3Plus and Braava M6 mop with better scrubbing action for a few hundred less.....

The Roomba Combo j7/j7+ has an integrated pump which allows users to customize the rate of how much cleaning solution the robot uses when it mops.

check out the s7 maxv (ultra for the dock), it's so much better than this
I am disappointed. IRobot really need to come out with something better, such as self cleaning dock for the pad and better navigation system. IRobot is way behind its compititor as of today.

1. There is no self cleaning mop 2. The tank is too small that won't really wet the pad 3. After the cleaning, the dirty pad will put directly on the robot that contaminate the machine

Does the fan in this one spin too fast and explode into little bits? That was my favorite feature on the others.
Would have personally liked an upgraded braava mop with front facing camera and auto wash pad but I guess this is cool too
@FantastiXPvZ

Agree. If they are just going to add a few features to things, then put a light, front facing camera, and LiDAR on an M6+ Braava. Or they could also add in an Auto-wash and dry dock and call it an M7.

It's so nice when the top comment happens to be your thought already posted and liked. i bought this anyways.. when i first started with Irobot a few years ago it was like a dream company to deal with, now i find it more real. But I bought this one to invest in what has been a good product (but the mop really could use an upgraded version. Something that holds water and pills to let it run more independently. i don't usually post but they cancelled my survey when i was completing it earlier today. *glares over at a Green R logo*
Talked about the competition only raising a few mm yet leaves out self cleaning mop that the competition has. Good job. I'll stick with my s7 maxv ultra until the narwal freo comes out. Disappointed.

I have a s7 and the pad lift it a gimmick. Lifts the pad like 4mm which isn't enough to clear anything.
@constantlyjohno

@@Chris-jq4ge I have low pile carpet so it works well with me which is why I bought the vacuum. That and it cleans itself. No cons on my end.
Wow. That’s huge. Super incredible.
I find that the best combo is to Swiffer wet jet mop first, then send in Roomba after that to pick up all the dust bunnies left behind. So having a mop trailing like this would be far less effective. For that price, I'll pay my house cleaner monthly to come do it all for me. Try again please.

Hello RuthAnn, thank you for asking! With PrecisionVision Navigation, it can actually see and recognize obstacles, and knows what to clean and what to avoid. When the robot recognizes the carpet, it will lift its mop.
Bruh I just bought j7 why you gatta do me like this 😭
My new Roomba J8+ does not clean my floor at all!
Needed to have some kind of reservoir in the bin and scrubbing action. This is definitely not worth the premium.
Looks cool and unique!
You have created many cool devices for the home space. Maybe its time to take a different direction and create cleaning robots for public spaces (create sales to govt agencies) or commercial buildings. The demand is out there with all the AI buzz, and will certainly help your share price.

my dream too bad it's expensive😂
Was this render made on a 2012 computer ?? Even a MacBook Air with Blender could do better… And what about the mop does it self clean ??? Do you have to put water in this thing ? And more importantly bring back the Scooba series ! You discontinued them right when I was going to buy one… Oh and now that iRobot is owned by Amazon (seriously?) what about privacy ? I don’t want this thing to scan my house and have Jeff looking at me while I’m on the Amazon website
My freaking 1000$ iRobot simply ignores 10 sqfeet in front of its station. That is so shitty. Is that fixed with this version?

Thank god I was able to sell my M6 and S9+, those two were stupid has hell, shocked at everything. They cost me a total of 2200€ or dollars and I sold them both e for 1100€, way less because people are not buying them on the used market. I bought a month ago the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, this thing is AMAZINGGG, self cleaning dock way better navigation, lidar and camera is superior that’s Vslam and camera. This guys from iRobot are dead.
Really, they didn't bother making a new roomba so they add a mop on the old one.

Too little too late
А я робот.
We have had one for about two years and it's complete garbage, always getting stuck on furniture, the constant maintenance and babysitting this thing is crazy, now today it won't work again because it wants me to sign in with my email and password? wtf! don't waste your money, just go buy a conventional vacuum, you'll be money ahead
So they've decided AGAINST Lidar and added an extremely breakable armature, and this is where the company sees the future? What I see is people breaking these things very easily, iRobot discontinuing this product altogether, and the customers who bought this expensive robot vacuum left high and dry as iRobot stops making replacement parts for it. Also, the mop neither vibrates, or rotates, while competitors are already WAY ahead with their top of the line robot/mop vacuums. This reminds me of the first Macintosh, where Steve Jobs purposely stopped his designers from creating a multitasking OS so he could introduce it later and charge more money, although they had already nearly completed the task before its release. It's too easy to see what is needed in a design of a cutting-edge top-of-the-line robot vacuum in 2022, and iRobot ain't doing it.
@matteventu
Жыл бұрын
LiDAR isn't superior to VSLAM. It ha some pros, just as VSLAM does. For what concerns vibrating pads or whatnot, it's been proven in so many reviews and tests that they're a gimmick and clean absolutely no better than a standard pad that's dragged around.
