I have been racking my brain tryin got figure out if these dual esc's on eBay wwould work for belt driven. The sellers are either sure...yeah or no way needs different firmware. So I come to you my help. Do you see any easy eBay solutions or is it complex and more difficult tha just switching out?

Dude I'm 6'3" 290-320 depending on the season. I plan to build my battery out of lipo cells (5*2s high drain) with a 10s bms ( cuz you guys don't do payment plans lol) anyway I want a belt drive but what size motor I've been looking at a 6374 170kv for the extra torque as my mass is like twice that of most e boarders I've seen. I have a duel caged 63mm mount in mind to add another motor down the road will this be enough to drag my big ass around town

I'm looking at the revel kit but i wanna do something a bit more hands on and the undercarriage of the enclosure sticks out a little too much for my liking. if anyone could give me a list of components that work well together i would be incredibly appreciative. money isn't a problem as its something i'll be saving for over time although that being said, I'm not looking to spend thousands.

Riser pads help give your board extra clearance. Many times the motors sit too close to the bottom of the deck. They also help with road vibrations.

Are motors fairly water resistant on their own, or do they need an enclosure? Like running through a puddle of water or getting caught in the rain sorta water resistance.

  • @MBoardsco

Brushless Motors are relatively water resistant. Riding over some wet ground once in a while won’t hurt. Can’t recommend you riding in the rain or through a puddle but we have seen it done many many times.
