    I made my own normal sized electric longboard but since it’s very flexible, the case attached in the bottom is slowly coming off. I have used screws to keep it in place. What could I possible do to fix it?

    I would honestly switch decks. That’s one of the downsides to flexible decks

    How is the accelerating and braking like? These two are pretty important factors. A good board doesn't only mean it can run fast but also lot more considerations to provide a safe and comfortable experience. And I think this built also cost as much as a mature electric board on the market. The parts are twice of the after market price, way to expensive.

  • @Berniz123
    @Berniz1236 жыл бұрын

    Hey, I didn't go through all the comments but I couldn't seem to find the answers to the most important questions, so let me ask 🤔: 1. Average range expected? 2. Total avg cost expected? 3. Top speed? 4. Charging time and where did you get the charger from? 5. Will the enclosure break if you'll jump a pavement with it scraping? Doesn't look solid but I'm a novice so hey.. Can be wrong 😊🤯 I hope you can answer all these questions for me, doesn't have to be on the dot exact values... But some estimates would be great as I'm considering this built... Thanks man! 🌟🌟🌟

  • @CarraigButler

    the top speed is 17mph the range is about 10 miles the charger comes with the battery total cost $520 charging time about two hours the enclosure isn't on his website yet, however, the enclosure that I made is 3d printed so I wouldn't take it off-roading.

    @@CarraigButler is there something I have to keep in mind if I wanted to increase the battery power on it? Quite new to electric skateboard and bought one recently. So was wondering could I buy a bigger battery to increase the range and the speed on this? Or does the battery power have to match with something on the board?

    Yes this build would be great no matter the deck size 👍🏻

    Hey Mike do you think I should invest my money in recreating this build or am I better of buying the new boosted board mini s? I would be using it as my main transportation in college so it would have to be pretty reliable. Thanks!

    Both options will be great for getting around campus. The Boosted Board Mini ships in 8-10 weeks so if you are willing to wait it is a good option. If you want a board in the next 2 weeks or so then DIY might be the way to go

    Do you think if I took all the electronics of this board and put it on a regular sized board it would perform decently?

    Yeah I’m sure it would perform well. Although you might want to consider the larger hub motors. It would look nicer on a larger board for sure.

    Every part costs in the hundreds, in case some of you were wondering what a "budget build" entails.
