Watching Rocky as a kid, Sly inspired me to get through a rough childhood life constantly being abused by my mom’s boyfriend. This was fantastic! You young ladies are so blessed to have the parents that you do. My father was a good provider and he tried, but he never did things with me. He was a dentist who is 92 yrs. old now and he lives next door to us in a duplex which means we only have 2 doorways between us so that we can be right there but we all still have our own privacy. My point was, back in those days a dentist didn't make as much and my Dad refused to raise his prices which infuriated my mother but she stayed home and cared for my oldest sister, me and my twin sister, and then my late in life unexpected little brother who became her buddy and went everywhere with her. I was the black sheep and no matter what I do to this day, I get no true respect from my family except my twin. She understands me, and my wife who I was infatuated with since high school. We went on a couple of dates in high school and one in our 20s but we didn't actually have a real relationship until our early 30s and got married at 35. I had some growing up to do before she would have anything to do with me for long anyway. I'm a carpenter and my wife thinks I'm the best! I apologize for the short book. I think your Father is a great one and I wish I had one like him. My Father-in-law was a very cool guy; he took me fishing and we did a lot of things with him like going to the races and car shows. We had a lot of cook-outs and they were great times. He had it rough like your Dad did. Nobody taught him to be a man and he had to learn the hard way which took him a lot of years and even some jail time, but he did it. He passed away at only 64 years old and I miss him. I have nothing but respect for your father. I hope you see this and maybe read it to him.

Your father is a real gentleman. I’m sure he doesn’t remember me , but I was at a mall in Thousand Oaks Ca in the 1980’s , and he was starting to drive his truck out of the parking lot ,but saw me exiting the mall. And he waved to me to go ahead and cross even though he was already driving in the driveway. That made me feel special and important, that a huge star like him, waited for me to cross before driving any farther. I will never forget it. Plus I have always been a big fan of him and his films.

This man has saved my life in so many different ways and knowing his story has helped me to be a better person than I would ever be able to imagine as a young man and now a father myself, looking back at my own life today, I can see alot of similar things that I have literally seen the same way as Mr. Stallone, I just want to thank you for your time and the soul and light that you have spread out in this world, I wish we could have more old souls like that in this world today. Great episode ladies and your dad is a very real deal definition for what a true father is and should represent in a child's mind. xxoo congratulations, cherish the time you have with him, because some of us never were able to receive that, let alone for as short as time is in our lives in this world. Believe me when I say, spend as much as you can legitimately with your parents because the only way that they can live on is through your life after their gone. And that to me is more valuable than anything else in this world today. xxoo

This is lovely stuff. Being a kid (born in '84), watching so many Stallone movies, then the years go by but you realise you couldn't ever forget them, but there's a lovely human and family dimension to all of it. This is the spice of life. I can totally tell the affection your daughters have, it's blatantly obvious. I wish I can be such a dad someday. Congrats to everyone involved and of course special regards to Mr Sylvester who as filled my kid/teen/young-adult years and beyond with so many awesome movies.

That is very sweet. And I didn't even know you two. But it is sweet to see your love and friendship together. Also your dad is in my heart because of his relentlessness to succeed. As someone who is still fighting to be successful, I love to see him and love his stories. Specially the one Tony Robins tells, of him reading to get out of the cold. Maybe he can tell it one day? He wasn’t always humble. If fact, he loved the spotlight. He was known to purposely park near Spago and walk a specific trek across the way to his car since that area is rife with paparazzi and tourists. He’d walk that way or over to Rodeo to get to his car with a group of people and/or bodyguards. Depending on his mood, he’d be interactive with the passersby, but he’d usually wave a general hello and ignore most people. Perhaps he’s changed over time. I spoke to Sistine once and she was cool. First time viewer... great job ladies! Your "youth" stories of training in the morning with your Dad coaching you shot-put reminds me of the first 20 seconds to a 1992 song release by the band Extreme from their "3 Sides to Every Story" opening song (titled: "Warheads") where a drill sergeant intensely barks out orders only to hear in reply his young daughter meekly say, "Yes, Daddy...... yes, daddy." OK, gratitude first... "I am soooo grateful to/for your father." In the 1970's. I was the fattest kind in the elementary school. At one point a kid came up, pinched my belly, and said, "Pinch an inch, damn, I can pinch a mile." That was a low day. Then my grandma (a faithful Catholic who reminds me of an older Adrian, btw) took me to go see "Rocky." From then on, I started exercising and learning about nutrition... and eventually lost the fat and went on to winning open racquetball tournaments when I became a satellite antenna engineer in Los Angeles for Hughes Aircraft across from LAX in 1992-5... again thanks in part to your Dad's lessons in "sports psyching." Thank you... and thank him so much for a motivation to change and become so much more... ...including becoming a writer and eventual author. God bless, Brian Shell PassionHero.com

I'm sure MANY of them do. We either just don't hear about it, or the media blows them out of proportion. Being an actor/actress shouldn't come with the stigma that they must be weird or something just because they are acting, because the only real difference is that they chose acting as a career whereas a lot of the rest of us didn't. Their career choice shouldn't be used to define their actual lives.

I actually watched all this and never done that before, specially a video this long. It wasnt boring and love listening to the girls talk about their Dad and loved hearing my idol growing up talk about his life.

Cute family banter. Sweet how you all laugh and poke at each other. Sly is his own person and doesn't make excuses for it😊

It's so cute that he's allowing a border to cross just because they're his little girls and he loves them with all his heart. And that love is totally reciprocated by the daughters.

I love reading all the comments and thank you all for sharing 💕 I always wished the best for Rocky and after watching the “Family Stallone” my heart was filled with so much joy to finally see how Blessed Stallone is. Beautiful family with lots of love, respect and no drama👍🏼. I have four kids and I nicknamed my youngest Rocky since he was 4 years old. Niko has a big heart, respect & love for others, protective, competitive, humble, health conscious, intelligent, physically fit… Thank you Sly for being a wonderful role model, example, big brother and father to many 🥲. Like you say, life is a currency and may you live forever Rock. Love you Champ! -jc

People don't realise how amazing Mr. Stallone is. The amount of wisdom he must have. I'd give anything to just sit with him. Not talk or anything, just his aura.

Glad to know many of us are in good company, coming from parents who did the best they knew to but were dysfunctional. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share. I hated routine boring stuff too!

I've always like Sly Stallone and now I like him even more. It seems they have a nice family dynamic. I've never watched the kardashians but I'd watch the Stallones.

What a character! Not selling the Rocky script for $300k and having the only condition of making the script work is him being the protagonist - when he had to sell his dog. And 50 years later, Rocky is the longest-lasting series that everyone knows and still continues with Creed. What a legacy! Overall, a great human being who pushes the limits - Sly is Rocky!
