Hi Tay , I live on a horse farm in Eastern North Carolina. Lot of feeding and fence repairs. Mowing in summertime. But nowhere near the work you guys have on a dairy farm ! And we don't get the cold temperatures in the winter. Average in winter is 50 to 60 . Maybe two weeks in January it will drop down to 32 at night but very seldom . Enjoy watching your videos as we do a lot of the same type of mantainence but not nearly as much.

Ah yes, good old all mechanical 1066. No ecm, ecu, common rail, tps, cps, egr, def, 18 miles of wiring, 1800 connectors, electric tranny or any of those other headaches. Straightforward and simple, such bliss. A heated cab on days like these would be nice though.

The handling techniques you and Brent use and low-key conversations keep the cattle calm. When you have to work around them twice a day 365 days a year it's nice not to have to struggle with wild kicking critters!!!

You want it to freeze at night so the sap will remain in the trunk of the tree. When it stops freezing at night then the sap goes up to the small branches . Making syrup at this stage results in bitter tasting syrup

When I was young we had a young cow who got a RR teat smashed bad, we had the vet cut it off halfway. We had that cow until she was 12 years old. The teat healed and we milked it with the milker. You had to put the milker on right after prepping because it leaked just like your cow. She was a good cow. made over 150.000 pounds of milk in her lifetime.

Hi Taylor Enjoy all your videos. Cold starting any diesel is an experience in the cold.. nothing like the sounds and smell of one firing up. Have had some late winter blizzards up in the mountains with high winds and very heavy rain and snow over 8 feet in some of the higher elevations. Lots of wrecks and stranded people.

Hi Taylor, good to see the girls being milked, they are so friendly. Neil is growing but it's a pity he is a bit wild now. I hope he is the father of a lot of heifers not bull calves. Does starting the Inter 1066 mean that planting could be happening soon. I hope spring brings warmer weather especially when starting at 6.00am in the morning and the girls can go outside to stretch there legs outside. How are the calves growing in the heifer barn, which I think is one of your favourite areas of the farm. Good content as usual. Chris from Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺.
